View 4 RepliesHaving some trouble with gmail. It won't notify me of email instantly when they come through and doesn't have the push option, only fetch. So to see if I have emails I have to go to the mail and manually refresh to get emails. This is a big problem as I need to get my emails right away for work.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've been enjoying my new Galaxy S6 for the past couple days but one thing I've noticed is that I'm not receiving any Gmail push notifications. I only ever notice new emails getting pulled in when I open the Gmail (or Inbox) app, and it executes a refresh now that the app is open. If I'm not using the app or my phone's screen is off -- nothing.
I've tried a number of different things, including making sure Power Saving mode is turned off and ensuring that auto sync is enabled for my Google account. I've also made sure that all the appropriate Gmail labels are set to notify me.
One thing I've noticed, in the process of discovery for my Gmail issues, is that when looking at my Google sync information on my phone, the "last synced at" time is usually very out of date.. sometimes it's a couple hours ago, sometimes it's a day ago. I'm wondering if my phone is for some reason just not polling on a regular, more reasonable interval.
FYI I'm getting push notifications from other apps (including Hangouts) as expected.
I have a Gmail account set up on mail. Suddenly all I get is five emails that say "This email has no content" Followed by endless repetitions of the same thing all dated 12/31/00. I can't get any real email unless I go online on Google. Then my email is ok but I'd rather use Mail.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe track-pad on my BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 stopped working so Sprint replaced my BlackBerry earlier today and I haven't received an email yet on my new BlackBerry. Email setup brings me to the screen where I, "Move Email Accounts", and after I click it, it says that the device change was successful and prompts me to enter my password. After doing so, it takes me to a screen to synchronize my contacts and when I click that, it says, "Activation failed. An error was encountered when sending the activation transmission." I REALLY don't feel like running down to Sprint again and asking them to configure the email for me. I need my emails.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn the last 4 days I've had delays in receiving mails. It usually takes at 8 minutes for the mail to arrive. Although there are times it arrives faster it's never instantly (or up to 1 minute). I guess it's some sort of problem with my push notifications, I was wandering if it might be a hardware problem or is there anything I can do to fix this issue?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently had to reformat my 8900 and for some reason after setting up my gmail account i an receiving one copy of each email in my gmail folder and also recieving another copy of the same email in my messages folder. this means that i really am recieving 1 in the email folder and 2copies of the same email in the messages folder. i am using BIS and have tried deleting and re-adding the email account and also resending the service books. i tried looking around but couldn't see the same problem which makes me think it's something simple I'm missing. it's nothing to do with sent messages which i have no problems with.

I ask, because I have multiple email accounts on my phone, gmail, hotmail, etc.. gmail is on the native gmail app, which is currently pushing... but the others are in the HTC Mail app.
I'd rather have 1 app for everything, instead of bouncing between.. IMAP is IMAP.. which the HTC Mail app supports (for moving to and from folders).. but if it doesn't push using the IDLE command (like gmail app does).. then I'm stuck where I am.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have gmail setup on my 3GS via Exchange. There is an option to enable push notification on multiple folders + Inbox, but it doss not appear to be working. Each time I go to the Sent or All Mail folders, it only shows the last emails I downloaded the last time I opened the folder. The mail app then takes about 1-3 minutes to d/l the new messages.Is there some trick to enabling push in gmail folders?

Now if I use my other gmail account (regular one through the iphone mail) I can get my mail perfectly fine. I tried deleting the account and making a new one but it gives me the same error. Any help would be great.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSince updating, my iPhone 3GS with iOS 4.0 has been intermittently unable to move, send, or delete emails using my existing push gmail setup. If I restart the phone, the email might work for a few min, but shortly after that, it will stop allowing me to move, delete, or send messages (I get an error saying it can't move it, etc.)Any ideas? I guess I'll delete the account from the phone and redo it, but is this some sort or known bug?

For some reason today it is telling me my password is incorrect. I can set it up to fetch using the gmail server and it works fine. That's not an option because i NEED my Google calendar on my i phone to push... or at least update itself but that doesn't seem to work set up using gmail fetch.HELP.I know you can use an exchange account but it seems like it only works about 25% of the time. Of course I'm JB so I could have something conflicting.Either way, when the heck is google gonna support push? It doesn't give me any push notifications while I am not in the app (no noises, banners, vibrations, sounds or preview of the message at all). I have new messages when I bring skype up that I never received notifications for. I'm not receiving notifications AT ALL.Â
I have notifications for sounds and previews and pretty much everything turned on in both my settings and in the app itself.Â
I contacted skype about this and all they could do, suggest downloading a previous version to my phone. How would I do that? Is that the answer to my problem? I've tried deleting and redownloading the app, that did not work.Â

Either on my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 with IOS 5.1 when Mail is open in background iCloud push emails aren't working, if i double tap the home button and close Mail App email notification works correctly again.
It seems like Email App is freezing in background, anyone else is having the same problem with iCloud email push service?
I am using Nokia messaging on my E72 with my gmail account...is it normal that my gprs/umts connection remains always active to check new mail? In particular, I would like that my gprs/umts internet connection doesn't stay always active.
When a new mail arrives to the server, server sends a notification to my E72, and E72 automatically connects to internet to download the new mail but after this, connections still remains active.
Is it possibile to turn off internet connection as soon as nokia messaging finishes to download new mail? I don't want connections remains always active as in blackberries smartphones, is it possibile or what I want is only a dream?
I'm using Gmail in Lumia 950 while setting Battery Server to On, and I have set the sync settings to "As Items Arrive". I have also assigned Mail and Calendar App to receive push notifications while Battery Saver is On. However, I'm not receiving push notifications and I am forced to sync Gmail manually. My phone is running the latest release, i.e., .71. How this can be resolved? Or, is this is a known issue which MSFT is still working on?
