I keep getting texts but my bb keeps putting the messages under the wrong name. It seems to be one chat that they are all going under. However it won't let me delete that chat. I tried pulling the battery but no luck. Suggestions?

View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery now and then, I will send a text message to a friend, and somehow, the message and the following conversation, seems to be copied to my wifes phone. An interesting scenario!! Also makes me wander who else might be aware of my sms conversations!I cant put my finger on when the issue first started, it does seem to have started fairly recenlty though. At first i thought i must have done something wrong...but now i am sure there is some sort of anomaly here. I have done an iphone reset (ie..hold power and home buttons down for 10 seconds). That did not seem to resolve. My friends is using an iphone 3GS (not sure of iOS version) and my wife and i are both on iphone 4 with 5.1.1. My wife's and my phone are managed by the same itunes account / pc (not sure if there is some sort of confusion between phs somehow?)

I sent an text message to someone and it shows up under the wrong person's name. When they respond it is also under the wrong person. Any ideas? I have the newest OS update (leaked verizon update 428).

Now when my wife texts me, it comes through showing its from my son....after viewing message details, the number is my wifes, although if i reply it goes to my son! I'm using chomp and up to now have had very few problems with it. Is it my phone or the app?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was texting with someone earlier today, I sent a text at 4:31 pm and they immediately responded but their text message was time stamped at 11:32 am.For some reason all of the texts I receive are time stamped as 5 hours earlier.The people I'm texting with are located in my same timezone, and the timezone is correct in the settings of my phone. It's set to automatic but I switched to manual and checked to see that the correct timezone was selected.

All other contacts are arriving in the normal way via the inbox, although I did have this blip a few months ago but seems to be happening again.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Lumia 800 and have discovered a bug where the recipient name is wrong if contacts have very similar phone numbers. Example:
I have two contacts with the following phone numbers
Contact 1. - 0703 246 802
Contact 2. - 0705 246 802
Note that the only thing differing the contacts is 0703 from 0705.
Regardless of whom of these two I send a text message they always show as being sent to Contact 1. This includes any History as well, they are all grouped into Contact 1 regardless of to which phone number I send the text message to. This is very annoying and it makes it impossible to see who actually had the message sent to when looking back at the history. I have tried moving the numbers around to different contact categories, changing contact name and so on, but it has made no difference to the behavior.
I just got a Motorola Defy (the Scandinavian version, with Android 2.2.2), and I'm very happy with it so far. However, there is a strange little bug in it: Every time I type ":-)" in a text message, it will be replaced with a "sad face" icon (). And every time I type a capital letter "B", it is replaced with a "sunglasses" icon () in the message.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI woke up this morning (24th December), and my phone had set the date and time to the 29th November, and the time is 6 hours behind (its now 3pm and it is apparently 8:43 on my phone.) Moreover, I can't read my text messages, I can't see text messages that I send, and my blackberry services have stopped working (i.e.. I cannot send emails or access BBM.) I have restarted/rebooted the phone almost a million times, but every time it comes back on the time keeps being set back to 7:49 every single time. I have no idea what to do!

Worst of all can't even get on Facebook. I try all the reset method (hard/soft). But nothing work. Talk to Nokia and they said it's not their problem.... wt....f.....

i was upgrading the software and just before it finished the upgrade stoped and now all what i have is a pictuer of tringle and a logo of the phone next to it, the phone is dead.
View 10 Replies View RelatedOn several screenshots that were sent to me from my friend's iPhone, the clock would say something like 7:57pm in the corner. That time matched my time as well.. But when I view details of the image, it would say 9:57. Now the tricky thing is, my friend was in a different time zone earlier that week and would have been 2 hours ahead of me if she were still there, but she was supposedly back in my state at that point. Is something wrong with my phone or did she change the time of her clock to match my own, while in reality she's still two hours ahead and my "details" section knows the truth?

So i download/purchased the app on MY own account. But every time an update shows up, it still show his. My iTunes shows that its my account.

I've a Nokia E72 No-brand and I had a nokia E51 and both of these two phone seems to suffer of the same issue: the icon of the calls in call log, whatever is the type of the phone that I want to call or that has called me, is always the same: that one of the mobile phone! And this is very annoying because when there are contacts with more than one number type, it's impossible (or quite complicated and frustrating) to identify the correct number to call or that has called me (if I check the missed calls or recent calls in Call Log).
Besides I see that this bug was corrected with the latest firmware in other phones with Symbian S60 5th edition and my question is: why don't fix this very annoying bug also in devices with Symbian S60 3rd edition (like Nokia E72)?
Routing still needs improvement. It is taking me through wrong routes again. I thought this version will be like the routes of navteq.com but nothing changed. Still calculating wrong routes. Only navteq.com gives good routes, otherwise navigating using Nokia Maps is useless, Nokia is behind all its competitors of GPS devices. this is why I have Tomtom.

It is not such a big problem only when I searchfor adress I must type Slovenia in the end. But still it annoys me a little so.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust had my N97 Mini repaired, got it back today (about 4 hour ago) first time I've come to use my phone and the keyboard is wrong. When I say wrong, I mean this, i will use the B key for an example. The B key, when pressed does a "B" like its suposto, but the shift key does a _ But the orange other symbol on the key is a %. Can I correct this without sending it back to nokia, because I'd rather not sent my phone off for more weeks on end.

419 just put a SMS in the wrong 'thread'! That is, I had a thread going with friend #1, and got an off-topic SMS from that friend. Turns out friend #2 sent it and the OS put it in the #1's thread! This is bad... very very bad. Even worse if it's sending out SMSs to the wrong people. My wife and my girlfriend are going to be very annoyed.
View 11 Replies View RelatedBoth my gf and I upgraded to the new iPhone4.I figured I would try the free trial of MobileMe since Ive heard horror stories of friends losing phones and/or contacts.I set up my phone to have a MobileMe account and uploaded my contacts no problem and its even syncing over WiFi.It did double up on a few of my contacts for some reason but other than that it was great.Until I discovered that it was syncing my contacts to my gf new iPhone4 as well. This phone didnt even have the MobileMe account set up or activated on it.I checked the sync screen under INFO and under MobileMe it still says SET UP NOW?I cant seem to figure out why it's doing this or how to stop it.

I go to compose an MMS, address it to the correct person, send it--but it send to a completely different person. Although both phones received the message, it only confirmed the inadvertant address in my sent list. This has happen at least 4 times, only with MMS and all to the same "wrong" person.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the past week or so, I have noticed that my Outlook (for Mac 2011) calendar is syncing to the wrong day on my Curve. All of the inconsistencies appear to be custom reoccurring appointments (every fourth Monday etc.). All of these reoccurring appointment seem to land on the first week of the month - so a fourth Monday lands on the first Monday etc. This seemed to happen before I attempted to resync the device.
I have backed up my Curve, deleted the calendar files and resynced the files. I am using BB dektop software 2.1.3.
Is there any way to deactivate the "feature" that if 10 wong password blackberry clear all data?.
Dont know to whom it happened that feature i had a lot of problem with that. Fortunately the company is changing blackberry for Iphone, but i want to know if is there any way to deactivate that?
