My friend use his account on my iPhone and downloaded a few apps for me. but since a lot of apps update a lot, i got annoyed having to bug my friend to do it for me.
So i download/purchased the app on MY own account. But every time an update shows up, it still show his. My iTunes shows that its my account.
On my Mac Book Pro the App store icon shows that there is an update for a game called Nyan Cat: Lost in Space. However I have never downloaded this game before. I tried to update it to see what would happen, but someone elses e-mail pops up (i.e. trippy8bit@gmail.com). Nobody but myself has ever download apps on my Mac, and I don't knonw anyone who has this e-mail. I am logged in as myself, and have no problem downloading and updating apps myself, but this one app won't go away.
My computer broke down and I had to start using my wife old computer. Tried to set everything right but ending up with my iphone connected to her app-store id both in iphone and itunes on the computer. How do I correct this?
For some time now when I try to update apps on my iPhone 4 the Apple ID it shows upon choosing to update an app is not my ID. The ID shown slings to another family member with an iPhone who uses the same Mac desktop (and thus iTunes) as I do. Another person asked this question but it wasn't answered. I tried signing out of app store in my iPhone settings (by the way, it said my apple ID was being used. By my phone!) and then signing back in with my apple ID, but that didn't work either--it stil asks for the password for the other apple ID when I try to update.
I asked Patillilabs about a bug in Situations. I told them that I'd just downloaded the version from Nokia Store which is v1.0(1) and it still had a bug that was reported about a month ago.
They replied saying that v1.0(3) had been sent to Nokia Store but a bug in the Store app was preventing users from getting the correct version. I've uninstalled the app, rebooted, downloaded (from Nokia Store) again but it's still v1.0(1). How can I get 1.0(3)?

Anyone have similar experience? I preordered 2 16GB Blacks on @ 5:15am yesterday. I received email confirmation on both Apple IDs I used, however, my store (Oak Brook, IL) does not show my reservation on the main website, but does confirm my reservation on the iPhone App? Is this sufficient backup to secure my phone on the 24th?
So I come home today to see four emails from PayPal from the four payments that have been made using my App Store account, totaling $449.95. I call Apple immediately and after being on hold for nearly 50 minutes with them trying to figure this out, I'm told my App Store account is going to be closed and that they cannot reverse the charges, so I need to file a dispute with my bank (or in my case, PayPal).
I called PayPal and they did not sound very confident in me getting my money back and said Apple should be the one reversing the charges. They guided me through filing a dispute on the charges and said that is the best they can do.
Am I screwed out of my money? Here is a screenshot of what the charges were made for (there is another $49.99 charge that is not showing up here, but appears in my PayPal account history):
I never downloaded or purchased "Zynga Live Poker", nor did I buy any of the credits for the game.
here is jonathan ive from apple talking about apple design philosophy (go to 1:00 in the video if you want a real laugh!). granted it is a promo video for ipad, but it still is funny given the issues with iphone 4 and the "don't hold it that way" emails from steve jobs.

if the phone is locked to fido, and I put a rogers sim in, what will happen? would it just say, no service... on the top left?or if the phone is unlocked, what would it show??
I recently synced my iPhone 4 to my computer. There are 4 iPhone users on that one computer. Now my iPhone thinks I'm one of the other users and now when I update my apps it uses another's Apple ID and asks for their password I can neither buy or update my apps
Both my gf and I upgraded to the new iPhone4.I figured I would try the free trial of MobileMe since Ive heard horror stories of friends losing phones and/or contacts.I set up my phone to have a MobileMe account and uploaded my contacts no problem and its even syncing over WiFi.It did double up on a few of my contacts for some reason but other than that it was great.Until I discovered that it was syncing my contacts to my gf new iPhone4 as well. This phone didnt even have the MobileMe account set up or activated on it.I checked the sync screen under INFO and under MobileMe it still says SET UP NOW?I cant seem to figure out why it's doing this or how to stop it.
Everything was good, but yesterday she started telling the wrong day. So i asked What's the weather like....and she replied something like The weather looks not so nice through this Saturday, but yesterday was Monday, and Today she is telling me that it is Sunday.
I have just purchased an iPhone 4. I have iOS 5.1 installed. I created an alarm for 5:45 am, set to go off Monday through Friday. It is off for Saturday and Sunday. Yet, this morning (Saturday) at 5:45, it went off.
We have 5 iPhones in our family account. Recently, person 1 will send a text to person 2, but the message will show up on person 3's phone. Oddly, person 3's text display show the message as if person 3 sent it! The messages often go to several of the phones, so it's impossible to tell (without asking) who actually sent the message.
I registered my iPhone3gs using the Apple ID on my desktop but it defaults to my wife's Apple ID which is what I started with on my desktop long ago. How do I adjust the setting on my phone to go to my updated Apple ID?
I have a 3GS and I don't know if this matters but it is running iOS 5.1. A few months ago, I noticed that anytime I edited one of my contacts on my phone, they were sent to to top of my contact list completely out of order. This has also happened with my music library. When I buy a new song, it is put at the top of my library out of order.
The other night I sent my friend a text. It came through to her from my email adress which is weird because I sent it as I normally would. Then someone else on my contact received the text I sent to my friend but they received it from her name. She didn't send anything to this person. I know this is confusing So for example: Person A sent a text to person B Person B received the text from person A email address Then contact in person A's phone received the text from person B but person B did not send anything.
I just bought a brand new iPhone 4S. While I was registering it in iTunes I accidentally pressed submit while filling out my address so it's wrong. It's got my correct street address but the wrong city and state. (I'm an idiot). How can I go back and fix this without having to restore my phone as new and lose all my contacts?
I have a new iPhone - just purchased yesterday - and when I text my daughter, it shows "me" in the identification field rather than her name. How do I change that setting?
Info: iPhone 4S, Just bought yesterday and still fum
In texts that I send to other people, the "from" name is no longer appearing as mine, but as though it's coming from my husband's iPhone. They are on different accounts and we have not made any changes to either through AT&T. It seems as though it's only happening between me and other people who are using the wireless messaging (blue text boxes).
when i log on to my apple id account it comes up a picture of someone else and when i hit the safari button on my phone and ask it a question it calls me a different name how do i change this
