IPhone :: Siri Says Wrong Day When Asking About Weather
Mar 13, 2012
Everything was good, but yesterday she started telling the wrong day. So i asked What's the weather like....and she replied something like The weather looks not so nice through this Saturday, but yesterday was Monday, and Today she is telling me that it is Sunday.
since quite some time I get a wrong GPS signal in my weather app, Google Maps and Nokia Here its sometimes like 20km(like 15 miles?) off my current position. I deactivated Wlan and mobile network and let GPS on.
I installed maps 3.0.8 a while ago and was working fine. I used weather widget frequently. Was in the USA last week, Belle came out for my N8 and I upgraded. Used weather widget there, and it showed me USA local weather for Wayne, near Philadelphia.I am home now in Novi Sad and weather widget still shows "Weather for Wayne'' and the temperatures and forecast are for Novi Sad. I tried to go put get GPS lock on Novi Sad in Drive. No change. I can not remove ''Wayne'' in any way I tried. I am having correct forecast and current temperature but I can not remove name of the location.
I have an s6 and the factory installed 4x1 clock/weather app no longer works. The clock still keeps time, but the weather icon on the right hand side does not show the current weather, will not update, nor will it allow me to touch the widget and enter into the settings/different cities. It was working fine up until about a week ago. I've tried restarting my phone and removing/re-positioning the widget, but no luck. It can't be uninstalled as it came with OS.
The weather app on my home screen doesn't always display the weather - it often says there is no data available. However, when I access the app and manually refresh the weather is displayed and remains when I return to the home screen. Is this an issue without Android 2.2 or is the handset at fault? The same app works perfectly on my Hero running on android 2.1
We both have Iphone 4 with IOS 5.1. Noticed this issue after upgrade to latest IOS. In the weather app you can select cities that you want to follow weather-wise. I had around 10 cities selected. My wife had some other number. In any case I noticed one day that I only had 3 cities. Long story short I ran some tests and using either phone adding/deleting cities on one phone causes a sync to the other phone.
How do I remove a 'wife' from iPhone. I told Siri that my partner was my wife then I married her and changed her contact details and now Siri thinks I have two wives and asks which one when I ask Siri to call or send a message.
Im wondering how are some people showing Live weather on their APPS as a badge? Their also using The Weather Channel APP to do it.I saw pics in the Jailbroken Home screen thread.. But didnt get an answer there as people are busy looking at pictures.. I thought they were using CurrentTemp.. but thats not it because the icon is actually The Weather Channel and it has a badge with the temperature on it..
Can anyone tell me? Or what are some other ways of showing live weather on the lockscren/homescreen without using Lock Info.
I'm having trouble using the Weather app on iOS 8.1: The widget is not appearing, even though I've enabled the location services, background app refresh and have the Today widget enabled. Furthermore, when searching for some cities near me, it returns me no results, even when searching the place the app says I'm at. Also, in some places, it doesn't provide any detailed information, see pic: There is no animated backgroud and no further info below the forecast - the scrolling stops there. However, when doing this on an iPhone 4 running iOS 7.1.2, everything works properly.
today is friday but my lockinfo weather is starting at wednesday thru monday. it used to start at the current day thru 6days. why is this or is there a correction?
I was wondering if anyone here has experienced the problem I've been having with the weather icon on my lockinfo lock screen. It's off-center to the lower right side. Check out a screenshot.
I would like to have weather information displayed in my notification panel, but I cannot find the setting/switch to turn it on. On my friends' iPhone 5s and iPhone 5 devices, it displays as normal just below the date, and when one friend activated her newly purchased iPhone 5s, she was asked if she would like the information to be displayed..
Thinking it is time for Apple to stop working on these apps and let folks download apps from the app store for all this? Would seem Apples time is best spend working on the core apps - Mail/Safari/iPod/Contacts/Camera etc. Am not sure if the Maps app is one of the core apps though Apple has bought a couple of companies to enhance this.
What do you guys think. There seem to be very good apps in the store for many of these utilities??
Yesterday while listening to a podcast, I decided to check the weather. I clicked the home button and scrolled over to where the app is, and to my horror, all my apps were gone. I have ios5, but not the most recent update. When I check system storage in settings it shows that there is space being taken up by the apps, but there is nothing showing in the app count that shows up on that screen. I tried doing a hard reboot, I tried downloading a new app to see if it would bring them back and nothing works. I even tried enabling restrictions and disabling restrictions as well and no luck. I think I have a backup from a couple of weeks ago, but if I have to go that route, won't it erase my current text messages and pics? I'm wondering if I create a backup of the phone in its current state if that would reload the apps when I restore from this backup. This is not a jailbroken phone.
There are several weather related 3rd party apps being sold in the Apple App Store that offer to provide push notifications in the event of severe weather at the iPhone users location. However,I believe these apps are NOT pushing the warning out to users immediately when the National Weather Service issues the warning.I suspect it is due to how the app developers are handling (and footing the cost) of pushing the data. Many times the warning notification comes AFTER a storm has passed. This is extremely dangerous and it would be appreciated if Apple could investigate this problem, which could serve to help public safety.
Can anyone recommend a good lockscreen? (showing weather, calendar etc). I used to have intelliscreen but I cant get that anymore as rockyourphone wont install on my phone (3.1.2JB)
