Apr 26, 2010if the phone is locked to fido, and I put a rogers sim in, what will happen? would it just say, no service... on the top left?or if the phone is unlocked, what would it show??

Apr 28, 2010My formerly Nextel BoostBerry 8350i works just fine, except for one strange thing: my phone number is listed as the old number associated with the SIM card. Even though on the Boost website my phone number and SIM number are correct, and even though if you dial the correct number my BoostBerry still gets the call, it still shows me the wrong number... and I can't for the life of me figure out how to change it.

Jul 25, 2011I just sent my Xoom off on a repair ticket because when I went to put in the SD card, I goofed. I did not realize the clear plastic "fingernail" was holding the SD slot. I tried to put the card in and it slipped under the appointed slot and got stuck inside the Xoom.if you haven't inserted your SD card yet, don't do what I did. There is a clear plastic tab that must be removed from the slot for the SD card. get the card back with the Xoom. It worked fine even with the stuck card, but the dust cover wouldn't go back on.

Apr 10, 2012My friend use his account on my iPhone and downloaded a few apps for me. but since a lot of apps update a lot, i got annoyed having to bug my friend to do it for me.
So i download/purchased the app on MY own account. But every time an update shows up, it still show his. My iTunes shows that its my account.

Jun 28, 2010Both my gf and I upgraded to the new iPhone4.I figured I would try the free trial of MobileMe since Ive heard horror stories of friends losing phones and/or contacts.I set up my phone to have a MobileMe account and uploaded my contacts no problem and its even syncing over WiFi.It did double up on a few of my contacts for some reason but other than that it was great.Until I discovered that it was syncing my contacts to my gf new iPhone4 as well. This phone didnt even have the MobileMe account set up or activated on it.I checked the sync screen under INFO and under MobileMe it still says SET UP NOW?I cant seem to figure out why it's doing this or how to stop it.

Mar 21, 2012We have 5 iPhones in our family account. Recently, person 1 will send a text to person 2, but the message will show up on person 3's phone. Oddly, person 3's text display show the message as if person 3 sent it! The messages often go to several of the phones, so it's impossible to tell (without asking) who actually sent the message.

A few months ago, I noticed that anytime I edited one of my contacts on my phone, they were sent to to top of my contact list completely out of order. This has also happened with my music library. When I buy a new song, it is put at the top of my library out of order.

Then someone else on my contact received the text I sent to my friend but they received it from her name. She didn't send anything to this person. I know this is confusing So for example: Person A sent a text to person B Person B received the text from person A email address Then contact in person A's phone received the text from person B but person B did not send anything.

May 29, 2012On my Mac Book Pro the App store icon shows that there is an update for a game called Nyan Cat: Lost in Space. However I have never downloaded this game before. I tried to update it to see what would happen, but someone elses e-mail pops up (i.e. trippy8bit@gmail.com). Nobody but myself has ever download apps on my Mac, and I don't knonw anyone who has this e-mail. Jun 3, 2012When I used the iPhone with new SIM card, it logged my "temporary number" as my phone number, iMessage phone number, and FaceTime phone number.When my real number was updated instead of the temporary number in the mobile carrier (calling someone showed them my real number), the iPhone still showed the temporary phone number in Phone Settings, iMessage and FaceTime.I corrected the phone number in the Phone Settings, and tried the instructions of previous answered-questions about this issue:
-> to turn off FaceTime and iMessage, then re-activate them, and wait for the phone-number-activation to fail (but for me, after several trials, I still did not have the option to moderate the phone number of iMessage).
I tried reseting the Network Settings. I tried removing the SIM card. I tried doing all of these things in different orders. I tried turning off-on-off-on-off-on-off the iMessage and FaceTime many times. I tried changing the phone number in my Apple ID web account.Nothing seems to work. I still cannot change the phone number in my iMessage settings.

Jun 23, 2012ie when I import an album/Compilation where some of the tracks are made with individual artists the actual album doesn't show up in "albums" as a single album but the "Music" app insists on listing every artist as their own when i select "Album". Why is it simply not possible to select "Album" and just see the album rather then the "Music" app showing every track. Ie having it show the CD and then I can click it and see all the tracks and the artists. Becaues the present view is pretty stupid and illogical. But is there some way for me to get it "how i want it" or do I just have to get used to this being the apple way and "live with it"?
