My new Pearl 9100 keeps freezing and then restarting on itself. It's super annoying because this happens about every hour. When it restarts the entire trackpad won't work, even the button. The only way I've been able to get it to work again is to restart it until it does! It usually takes about 7 restarts until the entire trackpad will work, then it restarts again.

I tried the basic troubleshooting like pulling out the battery and wait for 2 minutes for several times but still not working. I have plan of changing its trackpad but it costs expensive for me so I have to save money first.

On Wednesday this week, it was pouring with rain and my jeans got soaked right through and the BB 9105 was in front jean pocket. Later that day, the select function of the trackpad (ie pressing down to select something) stopped working. I assumed it was water damage as devices these days are sensitive to anything. The timing of it all made sense. I waited until Saturday (today) and there was no change.I am a student, so buying an old replacement phone wasnt an option, I need that phone so I went to a high street phone repair shop who put a new trackpad in I think, or tightened it up (I dont know exactly). I thought this would be the end of my problems. This cost £25 to get fixed. Bottom line is, it was fixed, the trackpad worked perfectly. I asked the guy at the shop what was wrong with it, he didnt know, so I asked if he thought it was water damage and he said he found no sign of it but said it can be difficult to see. So, about 3 hours ago I upgraded to the V6 of the software. As of 15 minutes ago, the same problem has started with the trackpad. The shop is closed tomorrow where I got the phone fixed and from Mon-Fri I work rubbish hours for my summer job (I get up at 6am and am home at 7pm) meaning I can't visit the shop nor can I get anyone else I know to until next Saturday. I can barely afford to pay another £25 for the problem to get re-fixed and am guessing the warranty has been invalidated because of it being tampered with to get fixed.I just don't know what to do next, I've tried posting on other forms with BB sections but have had no responses yet.

I was looking up on the internet & found out that there was a faulty batch with this issue.I cannot use my phone because the trackpad is faulty. View 8 Replies View Relatedi have done nothing to damage my phone. a few weeks ago, my trackpad would not work,but i plugged it into the charger and took the battery out again. about a week ago,the same thing happened and the same thing helped it. today though,it happened again,and plugging it into the charger and taking out the blackberry didnt help it. i cant get to much on my phone, as obviously i cant get to a lot as i cant use the trackpad.

The applications installed shown is only "FREE Earth Floats Animated Theme" from Mobstar Media Ltd. I'm not entirely sure what BT device model/version means, but if it's Bluetooth, I've never used that (and it is currently disabled according to my phone); however the previous owner may have used it with Rogers.
Now for the question:
Earlier today I dropped my BlackBerry on the floor and when I picked it up, I sent a text. Soon afterwards, my phone would not respond to pressing in (clicking) the trackpad. My phone still allowed me to scroll upwards, downwards, and to either side; the only thing it would not rspond to is pressing the trackpad.I had an epiphany in which I realized that I could simply hit the enter key to do anything (so far) that clicking in my trackpad will do; however, I still would like to be able to press in my trackpad to select options and such.
I read up some articles and they all said to either:1. Remove the battery for a period of time, or remove the battery/memory card/sim card for a period of time. 2. Press the button in 'hard' and this will 'free it up'.I did both of these, but had no luck.
One thing that I thought might help is reinstalling the operating system, but I can't find my cord. I called a friend and he said I could borrow his cord tomorrow, but since no one had suggested this as a potential solution, I didn't want to unecessarily hold off posting about my problem.
My BlackBerry Curve 9300 track pad frequently does not work. When this happens I remove and replace the battery to reboot the phone. I sometimes have to do this up to six times before the track button starts working again. Once the button is working, within 10 minutes to half an hour the track button becomes inoperable again and I have to go through the same procedure again.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 9300 with OS 6. I cannot return the device to the original retailer (out of warranty).This is kind of what happens.
1.)Trackpad stops scrolling after backlight switches back on. After waiting 10 seconds it works ok
2.) After an hour or so the trackpad stops scrolling entirely. The "push button" of trackpad still works though.
3.) I hard reset the device. Trackpad stops working entirely (doesnt scroll and pushing it as a button does not work either)
4.) I send phone in for repairs.
5.) If it works after "cleaning and reseating trackpad" my phone works fine for a few days. Then problem starts all over again.
6.)If cleaning does not work, they replace my trackpad. This usually works for a few weeks to a month. Then the problem starts all over again?I am getting sick of having the phone getting sent in for the trackpad to just be replaced again and again.
Is OS7 compatible as to properly function if installed on BB pearl 9105 3G Which services,features or tools that won't work when experiencing OS7 on the mentioned device
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe version 3.1.1.21 for the BlackBerry App World is not working for my BlackBerry Pearlâ„¢ 3G 9105. The problem is that I cannnot fully access to the app, because it frozes! Furthermore (and consequently I think) my network does not work anymore. I mean that the browser web is ok (and I can surf, even if at low speed), but all the applications do not work properly. And even when I am trying to download the official app world (again) from the official site it won't work. To download 2MB it will take all night long! This is not possible. Another example: the maps are not working anymore and the roads appear after a long time. It is not a problem of the mobile carrier!!! What should I do? I am desperate because I cannot use my phone anymore! I also tried to return to the previous version of the app but the problem hasn't disappeared yet!
I tried to re-install the software (v. 6.0.0.668) but had the same problem. Then tried again and deleted the file "Device" from C/Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/AppLoader (not the "vendor" file because it does not exist). But anything happened! Thought it would have re-installed the previous version of the App World but it did not! I am really desperate because I do not know what to do.
I have just upgraded my software via the internet to OS6 and although the new software is awesome, my app world won't open. When I click on the icon, the phone freezes. I have installed and uninstalled... inserted and re-inserted the battery many times. I have also tried to install an earlier version.
Also my protect gives me the following message: "Error starting net_rim_bb_dryad gui: Symbol 'Security.device Under Attack' not found."
And finally when I am typing in BBM or anywhere else I get a text imput error message. Murphy's law it's not coming up now when I want to post this. I love my BB but I want to be able to use all the services offered. My line of work depends on my phone working properly.
