Have had my bb several months now but these past few weeks have noticed that a couple of keys have become way too sensitive - the 0 and the 2 keys which are adjacent to each other down the middle of the phone if that helps.
forever when texting these two keys will double key at the slightest touch - very annoying with the 0 as it puts a full stop in followed by a space. It also doesnt help that my passkey has both these numbers in and i have to be extra careful when keying this in!
The phone been fine for 6 months or so but I can't seem to stop this happening. Have removed battery and altered key rate but has no effect
My iPhone 4 volume keys and silent/ringer keys are not working and it doesn't ring and vibrate when i get a call or text and neither the sound working when i use any app like games etc. but when i go to settings and change the ringtone then its ringing and the sound is working when i play music but there is a problem as well the headphone dock is not working.
I'm a fairly fresh Blackberry convert and I'm absolutely loving my Blackberry Bold 9000 and having an amazing keyboard that worked extremely well, for a bit.
Lately though, the keyboard is WAY too sensitive all of a sudden, many times while I send a message I have to constantly correct errors where I thumb a key and it responds by typing that letter twice. The same exact thing is happening with my menu key, I press the menu key and I quite literally am "moving" an icon around my menu screen as it registers that I hit the key twice.
I've had this Blackberry for TWO weeks and though I'm loving it this is a serious problem and starting to get on my nerves. I contemplated thinking if it was just my typing but this happens so subtlety I ruled that out fairly fast. I really have no clue what's going on and tried playing around with the "key rate" settings to no avail. Unfortunately a return isn't really an option as I bought this mobile new online and am starting a contract with my company soon.
I got my HTC one m8 two months ago and I've been using it very frequently. When I use it I see the volume bar increasing to max randomly. It's extremely annoying since I wear headphones. I tried some things out and found out that when ever I touch the volume up button slightly it raises the volume. You can feel the click of a button on any volume button that indicates that you are pressing it. I don't even push it to feel that. It's a light touch and it goes way up. My lower volume button is fine and it doesn't increase until I push past that click. What's going on? I've heard of loose volume buttons mine are firm and don't rattle.
I've found the double tap to wake up to be very sensitive when the phone is put in my pocket, the screen unlocks on its own and sometimes the flashlight gets toggled. I'm on the latest firmware. Are there others who face this issue as well?
Whenever there is a button that is part of a scrolling list, when i tap the button the list scrolls slightly instead of activating the button. I find that i need to press lots of times to be able to activate the button.
I understand in previous galaxy phones you could adjust screen sensitivity and i did search for "touch", "sensitivity", but I can't find a similar option with the new phone. Is there a way to lower sensitivity that i am not aware of?
I purchased a blackberry curve 8530 on thursday, and have used it for one full day now. The mute button is EXTREMELY sensitive, but only from non-direct touch angles - so basically it goes into mute mode when I do not expect it. This is becoming a massive annoyance.
Is this a normal problem with these phones, or should I try to get a replacement? Will they make me go to RIM to have them send me a refurbished phone for my 1 day old brand new phone?
I've had a big problem using my 9900 in bright daylight outdoors, I'm not 100% sure if it's due to heat, or the bright light, but the menus keep going up by themselves to the point where it's very hard to use the phone. I can control the menus by using the touch screen, but it's very difficult with the trackpad because they just keep going up.
The camera for my HTC One M8 has seemed to have become very sensitive to light. I can't take any photos without light making the picture very glary. Just wondering if my sensor is damaged? I have played with all the camera settings and nothing changes the light glare, even ISO.
My iPhone 4's touchscreen is extra sensitive in phone mode. It started after I installed latest update. I keep hanging up on people. Or turning on facetime or the speaker.
I've pressed quite many times a button accidentally just because my finger touched the screen for a very short time at wrong place. The display is so sensitive that it registers even the smallest touches. There should be an option to change the sensitiveness. For example the click event could be generated after the button is pressed 100 ms. This should prevent unwanted clicks.
I have a Blackberry 8230 that won't turn on. When the battery is charged, the red light flashes very slowly (about 10 seconds on, 10 seconds off). When I plug the USB cable into the computer, I see the BB hard drive for a brief second or two, then it disappears. It will appear briefly again about 20 seconds later, then disappear again. Is the battery shot? Or could there be something else going on? The phone was on the charger all night.
So I installed an Invisible Shield on my 8900 yesterday and I turned it on a few minutes ago to find that the trackball isn't working well anymore. The phone works fine, it didn't have any water damage. However to be able to use the trackball I have to press down while spinning it.Also it feels kinda smooth, like it offers no resistance when spinning.Any solutions? What can I do? If i take in to T-Mobile can they give me a new trackball? (Phone was purchased March 08.)
So I had my bold for about 3 months now... I'm always constantly on it; always checking BBM's and text messages. One day I noticed that the cursor would move as I am typing a message. I was like wtf but I ignored it... then it kept happening and I noticed that this only happened when I was outside and had my phone out...
I tried using my phone under my desk lamp and there's nothing wrong it. It's something about the sunlight when I'm using my phone that makes the trackpad move in different directions.
The screen on my Z5 has become over sensitive and when scrolling it keeps opening pages or links even when I hardly touch the screen. Indeed while typing this sort paragraph it's taking longer because the keyboard is entering letters for me. I have already rebooted the phone reinstalled software and was OK for a while. But now it's back. Impossible to go on to Facebook as I can't scroll down without opening every link.
I have constantly had a problem of the touch screen on my Torch being way too sensitive during phone calls. I frequently put people on hold or speaker phone accidentally during calls. Is there any way to eliminate the touch screen menu function while I am on the phone or make it less sensitive?
I want to disactivate the oh-so-sensitive lock button on my torch 9800. I found a whole bunch of apps that overide the "unlock" part of that button via a slider, but all use the same button to lock. I pick it up, it locks, I put it in my pocket, it locks, it unlocks, I put it in the cradle at night and it locks...annoying to say the least. Is there a way to disactivate that button or is there an app that will render it useless? This is a work phone and it took my long enough to convince them in getting me a bberry instead of an i-phone, so I'd really like to fix this problem.
My iPhone 5 64GB screen bottom part is not sensitive, sometime I unable to make a slide to lock on or answer the call.how much for replacement/exchange unit?
I notice this while trying to put it on my desk or one hand typing texts, it seems the auto rotate sensitivity is too high. Is there some way to "turn it down" so you can turn the phone more before it auto rotates? I know I can turn it off, but I use it in Chrome and YouTube and probably couple more apps.
I am having a problem to upgrade the device software of my daughter Pearl 8100 from v4.2 to 4.5. The BB update web site does not recognize that is a new version of the device software available.
I did not like the .320 screen calibration because the clicking was a bit on the hard side and the bottom buttons were hard to press sometimes. After switching to .428, the screen seems to be too soft. I get the double click effect on the bottom buttons although they are much easier to click now. While typing it just feels too soft. Yes, its easier to click but sort of makes the phone feel a bit cheap. So .320 was a bit too hard and .428 is a bit too soft. I really hope the next leak will put it right in the middle or at least give us an option to change it ourselves.
When using the anchors for copy/paste, or simply clicking to position the cursor, when I lift off my finger after finalizing the position, it will slide to the left or right a spaceIt's extremely difficult to position it exactly where I want it.
