This is a difficult phone to navigate, it's just a flip phone, not a full fledged touch screen or the like.There is a very real possibility of a private email coming in, and I need to turn off whatever function allows them to display on the front of the phone, (it might be in front of someone who doesn't need to read it).

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a LG G3 recently updated to Android 5.x. While texting yesterday I noticed that if I was typing (had the keyboard showing) and an incoming message arrived within my conversation, that the keyboard is forcibly closed. Thinking it was my built in LG messenger app, I downloaded the Go SMS Pro, Handcent SMS, Chomps, and Google Messenger apps. They all behave the same way.
I then tested my wife's iPhone. When she gets incoming messages they just show up, without forcing the keyboard to close.
So, is this the way it is supposed to work? I have never noticed it before. Could this be a LG upgrade-to-Lollipop issue?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have my phone configured to display SMS texts as a chat in 'bubble' format and also to combine email and SMS in one queue. However when I click the Message icon from the home window (ie when there's an asterisk on the corner in indicating a new message) it does not position the screen at the bottom of the text chat, but halfway up. I then have to scroll down to see the last message - this also happens if i want to text someone.

After 2 weeks the new iphone was stolen but, when i tried to go back to my old iphone 3gs (with a new sim card), it kept displaying a "no service" message after I updated it to ios 5.1. I got back all the information stored in iCloud and iTunes and all the applications work fine, except for the telephone service. I tried changing different sim cards (including different telephone lines) but the problem remains. The phone worked perfectly well before this incident started.

I've found I have to restore factory settings every few days because my E7 stops displaying "1 new message" at the bottom of the screen and also suddenly doesn't make a tone when the message arrives. Also, the small envelope icon at the top right doesn't appear. The only way I know I have a new message is if the phone is in standby mode and I see the menu light flashing. Otherwise, I have to open messages or conversations to see if there are any new messages. I have to do this every few days when it suddenly stops showing new message arrival. I've found only restoring factory settings works, which is a pain since it erases all my personal settings.

I want to copy all the data, address book, etc. and setup from the old 8100 to the new one. I backed up the old 8100 using Blackberry DM but when I restored to the new 8100 nothing was changed.

This is in the sport where you would see if you have voicemail right under day and date.Has anyone seen this? I'm still getting the little notification light when the phone is locked... but that's it!
It's not displaying names of the contacts in message folder but instead is displaying ONLY numbers. This is creating difficulty for me to go back in contacts and see which person is sending SMS.

View 7 Replies View RelatedThe 5800 and 5530 don't dispaly the name of the sender when a text message is received, right, Well so I thought. and I wasn't too happy about it as all my previous phones had this facility. Then a few days ago I got a message on my 5530 and when I looked at the screen there waa white star overlaying the image of the sender on my contacts bar. Great, I thought, I'd never noticed that before! But how could this be? I haven't had a firmware upgrade or anything. Since then I've found that I occasionally get the star on messages from this one contact, but not on messages from any of my other contacts.What's going on? I've searched the web and can find no references to this at all.Have any other users noticed this feature? And can anyone explain why it doen't work for all contacts?

I know for sure it was saved in my 'saved messages' folder, for the purpose of forwarding it later.I am able to delete the message from the 'saved' folder, however I cannot delete it from my Inbox. I've tried doing a battery pull, but it didn't help. I've tried deleting the message, then pulling the battery...and pulling then deleting. Nothing works.The message was sent and saved on February 19, 2010 at 5:32 PM. As for deleting..I've tried to delete prior, delete it individually, mark it read and then delete it, everything I can think of.Anyone know what I can do? It's been annoying me for months, and no suggestions on other threads have helped.
