Whenever I reboot my phone those 5 archived conversation show back up in my current list of Hangouts conversations. I touch and hold the conversation I want to archive hit the archive button and get the message Archiving Hangout, but they still come back after a phone reboot.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I reset my phone I stupidly put in the wrong date in the "date and time" setup. Had texted two of my contacts before I noticed this. Have now changed calendar date to correct date but in my conversations list these two contacts always default to the top. I thought when I passed the date which I had incorrectly put in first this would remedy the problem. However I have now passed this date and these two contacts still aways default to the top of my conversations list. Does anyone know how to sort this without me having to completely reset my phone from start again?

Desktop mgr 5.0.1.37.When I connect (via USB) the connection appears to be recognised - clock appears on BB and PC beeps. After a few minutes PC & BB icons appear on BB screen but no interconnecting arrows. When I try to sync there is no device and PIN number showing on Device Mgr so it doesn't sync. Then the Desktop Mgr greys out and appears to freeze - I then have to disconnect the BB to unfreeze.
Device manager shows two RIM virtual serial ports v2 Com 3 & Com 4. If I try to update the drivers it says most up to date are loaded although the drivers are dated 24 Nov 2008 and are version 2.2.0.3 and appear to be called RimSerial_AMD64.sys (I'm using Intel i7 processor).
Devices & Printers screen shows a RIM Composite Device icon.
Windows in Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
I purchased the 4S (iOS 5.1) and am having a hard time deactivating text previews... All that I've read says to go to settings> messages> show preview then slide to off position, the only problem is, is that I do not have the "show preview" option to slide off.

Is there any way to show the hotspot notification ribbon from showing?It is just that a number of apps I have can't shrink the app display and as a result the bottom row of buttons half merge with the status bar of the app and make things difficult.I have a calculator app (I have had to stop using the built in one because it will not let you backspace to correct an entry) and when I am connected via the personal hotspot, there is an issue where the bottom row of buttons compete for the same space as the apps status bar.

I recently plugged my Nokia N97 mini into Nokia Ovi suite for the first time in weeks to manage some of my pictures. When I go into the pictures section and view those on my phone,3 pictures appear that are months old,and I was sure I had deleted from the phone.When I go to delete them it tells me the deletion has failed,and the pictures stay there.I can't find them anywhere on my phone by going though its menus,or by going through the folders in my computer! They don't exist outside of ovi suite! Can anyone tell me how to Make Ovi suite stop showing them,or explain what is going on?

Blackberry Calendar Application
Blackberry Messages Application
Blackberry Contacts Application
Facebook Notifications
And I have turned off the Email Notifications.I have pulled the battery, rebooted, deleted the application, reinstalled the application....nothing keeps me from being notified about notifications.
When I get texts they pop up on the screen as soon as I get them. This is bad because I have weirdo friends who send some weird messages and I dont want my parents or my little brother to see them. I had the same problem with my old C902 phone, I dont remember how did I did this. and Its different brand to brand.
How do I get it to just go to my in box instead of popping up on the screen? It is an HTC Touch phone.
I gave away my old iphone 4 to a friend in Brazil and every once in a while I get text messages he exchanges with other people

View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently I dropped my Samsung S5 into a swimming pool. Luckily, after patiently sitting it in Rice for a week or two and replacing the battery, it is working perfectly again.
Apart from one point - whenever I try to make or take calls the phone immediately crashes and then reboots - I have tried putting the phone into safe mode and the issue persists. I can't understand how the rest of the phone could be working perfectly (texts, internet, audio, etc.) but the calls are causing crashes?
I have an S5 for my work device. It is locked into the corporate policies setup by my IT department.
My first issue is - as part of policy, I must have a strong password and my phone auto locks after 30 minutes. When I make calls, even 3 second phone calls, the phone will lock after I hang up.
My second issue is kind of linked to the first - when my phone is connected to my Sony Car Stereo, it disables the keyboard so I cannot type (obviously a safety feature), which is fine because I do not drive and text/email etc. except that after I take a call, I cannot unlock my phone to allow me to make another call.
Basically I downloaded crunchSMS and found its a lot quicker and less laggy than the default SMS program. So when I get a text now 2 icons pop up (SMS and crunchSMS) and I have to go to both to stop my phone from blinking. Is there a way to make the default stop showing up as a new message and a blinking light?
View 7 Replies View RelatedHad my new S6 for a few days and ive been having problems with it and im thinking it's unacceptable. Occasionally when im browsing using chrome, the webpage will crash and would ask me to reload the page. Not sure why. Also, i notice when im browsing or in a news/sports app etc, when reading the scrolling would appear like 'choppy' and stuttering. On top of that the battery seems to drain somewhat quick. Also some apps like gmail have occasionally crashed.
I've tried everything to stop this, i.e. use nova launcher, turned brightness down, restarted and cleared my cache but i cant get it to run smooth. I had the htc m8 and I never recalled it doing this.
My S5 just started telling me who is calling by using what I think is the S Voice feature. I cannot figure out how to stop this from happening. I have checked and it is not in car mode, so I'm not sure what to do at this point. How to turn this off?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to support nearly 100 Blackberries (mostly the Tour), and any wireless update breaks the phones with various results: anywhere from just deleting the email sync settings (all carriers) all the way to the phone unable to make/receive calls (just T-Mobile for the lack of calling, Verizon or AT&T seem unaffected thus far). We do *not* use a BES server, however, if that's what is needed, I'm certainly willing to go there. If and when an update is needed (by our standards), I will perform them. I really don't want anything coming from Blackberry, ever. I instruct users to hide the update icon, however, they always say it eventually comes back and keeps prompting to install the update. To rid themselves of the annoyance, they do the update, break the phone, then have the greater annoyance of waiting until I can get the phone fixed.

I don't know what caused this but I updated, Facebook, Twitter, App World and WhatsAPP lately. I also deleted BB Maps as the device was running low on application memory. Now the Application center on trying to populate/update the list shows Error 404.there are some really important messages that I'd like to recover.I do have a back-up of the device but will restoring to the back-up delete my current messages (the ones after the back-up)?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Nexus 6P, which I think is an absolutely brilliant device. Despite this I would like to mess around with it behind the scenes (root, different ROMs etc). Firstly I'd like to edit build.prop.As such as I have installed the Android SDK, installed the relevant things needed such as the USB drivers and platform tools. I've enabled USB debugging in the Developer Settings and ADB works fine when the phone is in normal mode. Booting in to fastboot mode also works.
Unfortunately, when I enter Recovery mode the phone disappears from ADB devices and from Device Manager on Windows. Strangely selecting the sideload option means the device shows up in both places, but I can't use the commands I want.
I've tried various official drivers, unofficial drivers and even edited the official drivers to add my hardware ID with no luck. I'm somewhat new to modern Android so I may be missing something obvious.
