Is there any way to show the hotspot notification ribbon from showing? It is just that a number of apps I have can't shrink the app display and as a result the bottom row of buttons half merge with the status bar of the app and make things difficult.I have a calculator app (I have had to stop using the built in one because it will not let you backspace to correct an entry) and when I am connected via the personal hotspot, there is an issue where the bottom row of buttons compete for the same space as the apps status bar.
I have a big issue with the Hotspot of my iPhone, I've upgraded my iOs to 5.1.1 (I know its an old version but its my first upgrade of my old iphone 4...).Â
I've tried the solutions below:
1- I don't see the Personal Hotspot in "Setting > General > Network > Personal Hotspot".
2- I don't see the "Internet Tethering" in "Network > Mobile Data Network > Internet Tethering
3- I've tried to reset Network Settings using the path ""Setting > General > reset > reset Network Settings"
4- I don't have the Onavo application in my phone.
5- I've tried my sim card on the iphone of my friend, and we can see the Hotspot in his iphone, so it’s not an issue of the CARRIER.
6- I don't have any Profile installed on my iphone.Â
All these steps are done, but still have the same problem
I have iPhone 4 and I was using the Hot Spot feature for my iPad 2. It was working yesterday and when I tried do to with again this morning the Hot Spot option was not there anymore...I already tried to reset all my setting and it not work.
I purchased the 4S (iOS 5.1) and am having a hard time deactivating text previews... All that I've read says to go to settings> messages> show preview then slide to off position, the only problem is, is that I do not have the "show preview" option to slide off.
I have the iPhone 4 3G and also have a Kindle Touch. Can I set the phone to do a portable hotspot so I can use my Kindle without having to go to a Wi-Fi hotspot place?
is it possible to stop the new BBM from showing SMS conversations of the contacts? it's getting confusingly jam-packed and i don't need a second messages folder...
I recently plugged my Nokia N97 mini into Nokia Ovi suite for the first time in weeks to manage some of my pictures. When I go into the pictures section and view those on my phone,3 pictures appear that are months old,and I was sure I had deleted from the phone. When I go to delete them it tells me the deletion has failed, and the pictures stay there.I can't find them anywhere on my phone by going though its menus,or by going through the folders in my computer! They don't exist outside of ovi suite! Can anyone tell me how to Make Ovi suite stop showing them,or explain what is going on?
I have a Curve 8530 and downloaded the FB upgrade last week. I cannot stop the notifications icon from showing up on my homepage. I have gone through the options and removed the checks from the boxes for:
And I have turned off the Email Notifications.I have pulled the battery, rebooted, deleted the application, reinstalled the application....nothing keeps me from being notified about notifications.

When I get texts they pop up on the screen as soon as I get them. This is bad because I have weirdo friends who send some weird messages and I dont want my parents or my little brother to see them. I had the same problem with my old C902 phone, I dont remember how did I did this. and Its different brand to brand. How do I get it to just go to my in box instead of popping up on the screen? It is an HTC Touch phone.
Basically I downloaded crunchSMS and found its a lot quicker and less laggy than the default SMS program. So when I get a text now 2 icons pop up (SMS and crunchSMS) and I have to go to both to stop my phone from blinking. Is there a way to make the default stop showing up as a new message and a blinking light?
I was always using on other phones with Android 2.2 FroYo that 3G mobile hotspot feature, which was included right in the Android system under Wireless Networks settings. Now in Defy there is no option like that under settings in FroYo. Defy includes own app called 3G Mobile Hotspot, which should work like that option for creating mobile WiFi hotspots in other Android phones. But here is the problem. On my older phone with Android 2.2 I could create 3G WiFi hotspot wherever I needed and it worked. But now, with Defy, when I use that application 3G Mobile Hotspot, it writes me error when creating WiFi hotspot "Cannot set up data link, please contact your service provider" I suppose it is something with my carrier (Vodafone_CZ), but when I used 3G WiFi hotspots on older phones (which had that feature included right in Android settings menu) it worked without problems and I a used mobile phone for 3G internet sharing with my laptop. Now I remember, that I have deleted some DUN profile under APN Internet profiles, could it be that problem, that 3G Mobile Hotspot app is not working?how to create WiFi hotspot on my Defy for example with some other app?Or if not, how can I use Internet Tethering in Defy Mobile Networks menu via Bluetooth (my laptot has BT). I dont know, what should I set in my laptot to use Defy like BT 3G Internet provider and I dont know, if Internet Tetherig via BT is not charged at my carrier (I know, that the 3G WiFi hotspot feature was not extra charged..) so for that reason I would like to make it working on my Defy.

Is it possible to use the iphone4 as a hotspot ... my iphone 4 has unlimited data package I do not see the hotspot option in the settings. I have it on my ipad but that is not unlimited. How do I find the right spot in my iphone to turn it into a hotspot?
With Verizon offering mobile hotspot on the Palm PrePlus & I believe Google is including it on their next OS update (2.2) & Sprint including it on the EVO 4G, I'm wondering if Apple & AT&T would keep up by offering it on the new iPhone. The one reason I'd probably say no is the iPad 3G. Just wondering what you guys thought.
Obviously the usual jail breaking will occur when it’s released but I'm wondering if anyone has heard of or has proof of built-in mobile hot-spotting with OS 4.0?And if not, could it be one of the things that "won't disappoint" us on June 7th?
My Hotspot is missing in my iphone 4s! I got this new Iphone 4s, and now my hotspot is missing! I restored and reseted it and I still can't find it! There is no hotpot in the Network Settings!
