With my iPhone I used to be able to put the phone number with three commas and then the passcode to the conference call in the meeting request (format = 555-555-5555,,,12121212#). By using this format my customers could just click the link in their iPhone and it would auto-dial the conference number along with the passcode so that they did not have to remember the passcode while driving.
Example: 555-555-5555,,,12121212#. (autohyperlink for iOS)
VS
555-555-5555 Passcode 12121212 then press # (caller can hyperlink the phone number but has to remember the passcode and dial it while driving...)
By using this format you could just click the number and it would dial the number pause then auto add the passcode and # to enter the conference call. I think Blackberry used to use a similar format to achieve the same thing.
I've just bought a Nokia 5800 handset recently. It seems to me that even though I actually saved a contact's number in my phone, when he messages me the phone inbox only shows his number and not his name, even though I already saved his number under my phonebook.
Is there anyway to solve this such that it'll display his name instead? Its kind of pointless if I have to keep checking back to my phonebook to see who has messaged me, since I don't remember my friend's numbers and stuff.
On a note I saved all of my friend's number without the region number. That is as im living in Singapore, a contact's number would be saved as follows: 91234567 without the region code of +65. Thing is in my inbox all the phone number displayed shows the region code of +65 along with the number, but seriously even my super old phone can recognise that both 91234567 and +6591234567 are of the same person and displays the name correctly in the inbox.
How do I add a number from my recentcall list to my contacts without having to write down the number then reenter it in contacts? Isn't there a way to just add the number to my contacts? I can delete them from my recent list, why can't I add them?

I have a few missed calls and can never know the number from who it's coming from, only that it's unknown and the time when I was called. I know normal cellphones know and if I answer an unknown call, that the number is stored in the phone. How can I know the phone numbers of the calls I missed?
Or maybe, what do I do so that the future call numbers are registered so that I can call them back?
I am unable to set the number of rings on incoming phone calls. I can adjust the count for vibration, but no "count" icon is available in the ring tone section.

Now, i am not able to make & receive any calls, everytime i try to call a number it shows an error message:- Congestion. Also, on top of my caller screen it shows a different number than mine.When i go to Advance system settings>SIM Card, it does shows my number BUT in Service Status it shows a different number. contacted one AT&T outlet and they say that it is a used phone not the new one because the number it shows belongs to the old user and the network my phone is showing is Edge which is not supportive in my Gophone scheme. I ported my number so the new carrier gave me a temp number. Now that I have my number working, iPhone is displaying the temp number in settings>phone, so even if iMessages and Facetime activates,I don't know why the message "your carrier may charge for the imessage activation..bla bla", so...iMessage and Facetime shows my correct number, but they deactivate themselves for some reason and activates again.Â
I don't know if it is because the wrong number is displaying in the settings, or I lose signal or what..but this is new so I think it's because of the wrong number in settings.Â
Some things to consider (things I've tried so far):
- Cant change number manually
- Tried the turn off iMessage and Facetime and then on and restartÂ
My carrier is going to charge for every activation message I send I guess... or is there another way to change the sim number in the iphone or mac? I dont have another phone to change the number in special numbers.Â

That said here is the issue:
I bought a BB 9650 unlocked from Verizon, and i am using it in Canada with Fido, and when i get phone calls from people, it shows up as unknown number, but i realize i have these people numbers stored on my contact list super weird.
When using iMessage how can I make it so it shows my number not my Apple ID?
