I am using a ringtone that came installed on the phone. I have vibrate set to off and I am in the loud profile. When someone calls me, my phone rings once and then there is a long delay before it rings again. My daughter has the Bold and she uses the same ringtone and doesn't have this problem. I have Sprint and she has AT&T if that matters. Thank you for any help you can give me.
My BB Curve 9360 is set to "Vibrate Only" but for some reason isn't vibrating at all. I've set it to vibrate for text messages and calls, but it just won't work.

I keep getting this message on my phone - uncaught exception: applicationregistry.getorwaitfor (0x7c802477365c3985) owner died thread [thread-85249024,5]
My phone does not ring or make any noises whatsoever. If someone calls, it will only vibrate. My profile is set to loud. Both in and out of holster are set to vibrate+tone. The only time I can hear sound is when the headset is in. I have tried removing the battery, but still no luck. There has not been any water damage to this phone. It was working fine for a while, and then one day it just stopped.
I just got dis BB curve and I noticed it didn't ring for long.so I took another fone and called my number.I could hear it ringing on d other fone but my BB wasn't ringing, not even an incoming call alert till about the third ring.I tried with several phones and the same thing happened.it annoys me coz by the tym my BB rings and I have 2 pick up,the caller is hanging up coz it rang for long.
I just got my Curve 8250 yesterday, and I spent last night setting up my ringtones. I put the phone in Vibrate mode when I was asleep, and when I put it back into normal mode this morning, nothing happens when a text/PIN/phone call comes through. I just get the red flashing light. I've done a 30-second battery pull and made sure that the profiles were as I'd made them yesterday.
I have a blackberry curve 8900! I recently did a swipe cause I was going to sell it!Long story short, I got it back! I did the Host routing table register again and everything was fine! Then when I try to choose my ringtone, I can't hear anything
This is a new problem that I have been having. It is with a blackberry curve. I will make an outgoing call and it will say connected, but there is no ring. When the person i am calling picks up i can hear them. I am not sure if I switched a setting?
Since yesterday my 8900 stopped ringing and clock alarm does not work anymore. What I have done:
1. Profiles. Reviewed my Normal(Active) profile under the Profiles menu tab Advanced. Tried several options on the Phone settings, including Out of Holster: Tone, Vibrate+Tone, changed the Ring Tone, changed the Volume. Made sure Mute, None, or Do Not Disturb options were NOT selected. Nothing.
2. Chose a different profile, such as Loud. Nothing.
3. Turned the phone off, pulled the battery out and reinserted. Nothing.
4. Turned the phone on, pulled the battery out and reinserted. Nothing.
I just tried to play a music but it failed untill I pressed Menu and selected Activate Handset instead of Speakerphone and the music start to play. My version is 4.6.1.206
i recently bought my curve 9320and i love it so far but my text and ringtones sounds muffled and when i go into the media player they all sound clear and crisp
I have only just started using the Desktop software for my BB Curve 9300. Once I connected I was told that updated software was available for my phone. Once I had done this I noticed that my selection of ring tones had diminished from the ones previously installed with the new phone.Following the instructions for downloading ring tones (Media File - ringtones - select menu - then select Download Ring Tones) I notice that I do not have the option to Download! Even visiting the BB website it still tells me to follow the same instruction!
I'm not new to my Blackberry, this is my third device, never had a problem so far but this 8520 is not ringing at all. If i connect the headphones it only rings when the music player is on. If i stop the player is not ringing again, only vibrates. I know the menu very well and is all set to the right parameters. I've bought a new housing complete and i'm waiting to have it delivered next week because 99% i think is the speaker.
can anyone tell me why when i have the phone on vibrate some of my incoming text messages still come thru w/sound? mainly it's my daughter's text messages.
I have a Curve 9300 (OS 6). My ring tone is set to go off always (set to normal), no custom contact ring tones set, etc.But when I get a call, no ring. In fact, the screen displays "Ringer Off" on the screen. How do I get the ringer to work?
With my old BB Bold, I had my phone set to vibrate for messages and phone calls when in the holster. When out of the holster, I had the phone ringing with my personal ring tones while everything else vibrated.
I cannot figure out how to do the same with my new Curve 9900.
My Blackberry 8310 is one week old. Two days ago it stopped ringing, alarm has no sound and no email notification sound. I've checked profiles and still no luck.
I have the 8320 & would like to assign ringtone for different contacts. I have many rigtones that i have made on my MC, I aslo understand the process of highlighting a contact in the address book & pushing the app button & selecting add custome ring tone. The problem is it gives me two options, (Device Memory & Preloaded Ring Tones) it doesn't allow me the option of searching the media card witch is where the rigtones that i want are stored. If I select edit contact, the option to assign ring tone is not there. Can anyone help?? (PS) I have searched the forums with no luck.
We have 3 of these phones in our family as well as 1 international version. All have the latest software updates as I just checked after reading the posts here. When set to ring AND vibrate, they ONLY vibrate 2x and then begin to ring ONLY.How to get them to ring AND vibrate?I have volume set to high and with the other settings, I fully expect 'vibrate and tone' but I cannot make it happen.
When an incoming call, email and or message is received only the LED blinks. I get no sound/ringtone nor does the phone vibrate. I've checked the phone's settings and all appears to be as it should.
as the title says, when someone phones me they hear music instead of the standard "ring ring" that you would expect to hear. It starts of with someone saying "to download ringtone" then just plays annoying music. I've tried a hard reset but it's still there!
