I have a new 8520, making some progress as e-mail is working and internet accessible but I cannot get the e-mail alert to work and the e-mail appear to be self deleting after a few minutes.

View 7 Replies View RelatedUpdated to the latest software this morning and synced etc. all was good accept there was a box in setup stuck at 55% uploading for my contacts. So after leaving it for a couple of hours etc., I just cancelled that part of the process as everything including email was working fine. Since that however I now have no email push! It is asking me to reactivate although it still sees my 2 accounts Email Accounts (2) shows in set up but when i enter it states that there are no email account activated. I try to reactivate them however only give me the box for enterprise accounts not internet based account i.e. hotmail. I try to activate and it eventually tells me that this fails. All has been working with my emails since i got the phone absolutely fine until today!

1. I have two e-mail accounts set up on my phone. One the one, the red * alert symbol always shows up on that email account's folder, but for the other one the red * alert symbol for new messages shows up on the separate "messages" folder. how do i fix this?
2. I keep randomly receving the message alert symbol (the red *) on my SMS folder, but I click it and i don't have any new messages and all of my messages are read... what's the deal here?
Beginning at 4:29am this morning, (it seems that all messages stopped at 12:31am and then everything flooded in at once) all of my emails began coming in RED instead of black and they all started giving me alerts. Previously I had Profiles/Exceptions set up so only emails from certain people caused alerts and came in as red.I was able to fix the alerts by changing Level 1 messages to no alert on my "general" profile, but all the emails still come in RED. I have done a reset and a battery pull and nothing changed. How do I fix this??
View 5 Replies View RelatedI switched SIMs on my 9300 the other day and I recieved a new text message on it which I read & deleted...I then put in my old SIM and the alert at the top of the screen (envelope with 1) that notifies you when you have a new message was still there!I have deleted all messages, emails, checked all folders, saved folders, rebooted (several hundred times!) yet the notification is still there.

When I recieve an email it only shows up on the "messages" folder.My previous BB would show the new mail indicator in both "Messages" folder and the specific email folder it belonged in. If I go to the specific folder, the email is inside, it just will not alert me to this folder.Hope this makes sense.Currently I have 4 specific email folders, a text folder, and a messages folder.
How can I fix this? I have an 8310 that was just replaced by another 8310 thru insurance coverage.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWith the latest software update (V5.0.0.807), my Yahoo icon is gone. Cannot locate it.Also, after I perfomed the update, all of the preloaded and my downloaded ring tones are not recognized. States ""invalid ring tone selected, please make another selection" for every one.
Now my phone won't ring, or alert for SMS or email, or direct connect.Video camera also appears not to be functioning. Getting an error message of "Error Playing. device media processor is busy." when nothing else is running.
This is only the second time this has happened since I got the phone a few weeks back.I have all of my messages set to different specific ringtones. My SMS to one, my MMS to one, my email to one etc. So tonight I rcvd an email and instead of playing the tone it always plays that it is set for (one of the generic preloaded notifier tones)... it played my SMS tone (which is an actual song tone) to alert me to my email.
And NO I didnt recieve a new SMS at the same time. That folder is empty and the only red star alert was on my email envelope. Like I said this is very, very few and far between but why would this happen??I went over every one of my sound/alert settings and they are all the way they should be set for my liking.
Just got my phone yesterday. I dont seem to be able to activate vibration as email notification, especially in silent mode. My friend who has Z2 has the "vibration option" in his email settings, but I don't.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi got my BB last week ok, so, i got invited to a group, i was the 30th member, the chat and images uploaded were loading so my BB started lagging ALOT, i thought it was other thing, so i googled "how to make blackberry faster" and i found an "activate Automatic Memory Clean" thing after activating it, i locked the BB cause i always lock it, then a message popped saying something like "blackberry is rebooting and it will take a few moments" well the few moments were more like a few 10+ minutes, so i took the battery out to restart it, after that a white screen with the loading clock icon appears, then suddenly the screen goes black and red light flashes a bit, then back to the white screen with clock, and so on

It shows in the notification screen, but no sound or vibrate or led or anything and i have it set up the same but different tone for text.

I have my phone set to Push and Fetch for manual check to help conserve battery, and when I check, I will see the email come in, but no notification sound/vibrate. Even on fetch it does it. And from appx. 5 mins and on I will finally hear the notification ding or vibrate. I called apple care- they walked me through resetting all network settings.. that did not work, I also restore my phone.. and that did not work..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used to have Alert Matrix for my BB and it allowed me to assign specific alerts to email contacts that I had. I could turn it on and off so if I was waiting for an important email it would alert me but things like spam or unimportant mail were silent. It was almost like my phone was a pager because the alert would continue to sound until I acknowledged it. Is this possible on an iphone?

I have a S6 edge. I have different notification sounds for both. Starting today they are both playing different sounds. When I go into settings it shows the name of the alert I have picked, but it plays a different sound. I can't figure it out. It's been fine for the past week.

1) Every time I get an email or SMS my screen goes black and I can't see what it is until I press the trackpad. I have no idea how to change it to where my screen does not go black.
2) How do I set my email filters to alert me to emails ONLY from my contacts on yahoo?
