May 4, 2010I'm a new blackberry curve owner, and I am very dependant on my calender. It's just started deleting past entries (anything over 24 hours) even though my settings are to "keep forever". I have contacted my service provider and they said it's because I've run out of memory and calender entries and text messages are low priority. Is there anyway to ensure they don't get deleted? Is there anything I can do (other then set the texts to keep for only 15 days - already done) to ensure I always have enough memory? Is there anyway to recover my deleted entries? I don't have it synched to my computer or outlook.

Jul 20, 2011My Blackberry torch automatically deletes saved text messages. When I go to my saved messages folder most or all of them will be gone. I've noticed that when it begins to delete old messages it turns them green so I can not read them again and old messages that I have saved also turn green and are automatically deleted. This is a highly disappointing weakness of the torch and as I am new to Blackberry I thought saving text messages would be an easy and basic task to do. I have never had this problem with any other make of phone. Other than this problem I have only had a few glitches and like the phone but I would not recommend it.

Feb 2, 2010I am having problems with my email in my 5800 can anyone help?it has worked perfectly since I had it until January when it suddenly decided to download every email I have ever kept on my server (several hundred) I then had a fiddle with the settings and now once it picks up my emails and I've looked at them it automatically deletes them from the phone and the server without asking even though I've checked the 'always ask button' I have lost several very important documents this way. I have previously not had this problem in fact when I deleted e-mails before this problem and hit the 'delete from phone and server' the e-mail still remained in my home computer. I have gone through all the settings on the phone many times and cannot see why this should be happening.

Jul 20, 2011I have an 8900 that I wire sync to Outlook 2003 on my PC. Have calendar dates back to 2000. It will sync but alwasy wants to delete things in 2000 and now 2001. So I have to fish them out of the deleted items in Outlook and put them back. Memory seems to be fine on the BB and settings are "forever" and "two way sync."

Mar 6, 2010I dont know why this happened, but over the past few weeks every night around 1:20-1:30AM EST i've been disappearing off about a half dozen or so of my friends' contact list. When I go to message them it asks me to re-invite them before I can. A few of my other friends have noticed it too where they get deleted from peoples' contact lists, no one that I know of has figured out a solution. We're all running version 5.0.0.57 if it helps.

Jun 30, 2012Anytime I finish a workout I usually power down my device because it usually drains pretty quickly on "standby" (doesn't last more than a day or two if I'm not using but don't power off). However, two times in the past couple of weeks I've taken my device out and it was always on. I suppose it's possible I forgot to power down, but I doubt I would have done this twice in the past few weeks.

I contacted Vodafone and they informed me that was correct Blackberry had changed it's firmware. This seems ridiculous to me but anyone confirm this for me. Sep 21, 2011My Droid Bionic works great except it will not auto-reconnect with my bluetooth earpiece. This is what occured - When I first got the phone, I made it discoverable and it was able to verify my plantronics 245 earpiece; the devices were then paired as expected. However, every subsequent time I activate the bluetooth on my phone and I turn on my earpiece, the device does not automatically reconnect. Oddly enough, when I go to the Bionic bluetooth settings page I see that my earpiece is listed as one of the bluetooth devices but it is showing as "paired but not connected".
The only way I can connect the two devices is by going into the bluetooth settings page and manually selecting the earpiece, and even then, it will still have trouble connecting unless I toggle the earpiece off then on.Is anyone else having this difficulty? And/or does anyone know if Motorola knows about the problem and will be sending out a software update for this issue?

Jan 23, 2010My Nokia 3600 converts SMS into MMS automatically if the numbers of characters exceeds 918 (6 SMS).If I delete some characters sometimes it offers the possibilty to reconvert to SMS in the 'Options' menu (other times not); sometimes it does it automatically (not consistent).
But sometimes even if I have a lot less characters and then I use certain accented characters (French) it does the same and it can't be reconverted to SMS. Other accented characters don't have the same effect.(I spell them out because I don't know how they would be displayed:
- characters always OK: 'a' grave, 'e' acute and grave, 'u' grave
- characters not accepted: 'c' cedilla, 'o' circumflex)
My 2600 and 2610 never did this: I could write much longer messages up to the total limit (split into more SMS) without any problem.Is there a fix for this bug?

Mar 30, 2012I really want to update to iOS 5.1... But when I try to, it says that it deletes my apps. My friend said they don't, but she has her apps synced on iTunes. I can't do that or else it'll delete all of my apps, anyways. My brother said that they released a patch for that, but...Does it really delete your apps? I'm 2 updates behind because this happened with the last one, but I really want the battery update and deleting songs from the iPhone itself... I just want to know before hand beause I have a lot of apps already (23 to be exact, since they take up lots of space) and I really don't feel like redownloading all of them. Plus the update takes hours on its own.

Sometimes when I open this inbox, I can see the messages just disappear, sometimes before I can even read them. I have it's settings to delete after 1 month and have reset that several times.

Mar 12, 2010Downloaded MfE 3.00.050 to my E71. Found that periodic synchronization first deletes the contents of my in box and sent box, and then downloads emails from the last day. (I do have the sync setting for emails for the last day). In other words, every x minutes I'm downloading a lot of data. Very inconvenient as it takes several minutes to sync, and also very expensive to sync while roaming on travel out of the country.
Also, my prior version of MfE would update the read flag on emails. Now a periodic sync now ignores whatever was done on my phone, and every x minutes I now have all the emails I read showing up as unread. Is there a way to fix this? I've tried both the server wins and phone wins settings, and there does not seem to be a difference.

Jan 4, 2010I'm a new E66 user, I set up my email on Nokia messaging and started using today. I'm using an IMAP email server. I receives emails into my phone, they are kept in the server but after outlook receives the emails, they are deleted from the server. And after that emails are deleted from my phone immediately. It doesn't wait for 3 days or so.
And also I can't change "3 days" option from the options menu, it says "Setting can not be changed!"when I tried to.
Because I'm a new user, maybe I'm doing something wrong but I tried the options and couldn't find anything about it.I updated phonesoftware and download the last version of Nokia Messaging.

For a couple days I will have history and recent sites will be available to me where i left off and then randomly there are no sites available and my history is cleared. I know someone that says you only clear your history if you are sneaky. Since I'm not sneaky or trying to hide any thing it would be nice if I knew how to keep my history and stop it from randomly delete on it's own.

It also on a number of occassions adds several contacts from my email account and I have no idea why? and to top things of, yesterday it duplicated most of my contact list.
