I really want to update to iOS 5.1... But when I try to, it says that it deletes my apps. My friend said they don't, but she has her apps synced on iTunes. I can't do that or else it'll delete all of my apps, anyways. My brother said that they released a patch for that, but...Does it really delete your apps? I'm 2 updates behind because this happened with the last one, but I really want the battery update and deleting songs from the iPhone itself... I just want to know before hand beause I have a lot of apps already (23 to be exact, since they take up lots of space) and I really don't feel like redownloading all of them. Plus the update takes hours on its own.
I just got a replacement iphone and restored it from a backup, however, upon trying to sync it again, the 'sync apps' checkbox is not checked. I can see my apps that are greyed out but as soon as I check the box to sync the apps, they all disappear! I haven't synced it since for fear of having to start over every time.
Whenever i connect my device to the computer it starts to backup and transfers purchased apps/items from my iphone to itunes library, but also deletes them from my phone, is this some kind of a functionality?
1. If I want factory setting back ( resetting / formating phone ) does it deletes everything non-factory ? Does it reinstalls games ( factory ) if they are deleted ?
2. Why I cannot update Ovi maps 3.01 to 3.03 ? I openen the file on PC and installed it on the phone but when I try to open the maps it flashes Ovi maps interface for 0.5s and then goes back to the main menu.
my bb has started acting weird, sometimes( not always) when screen unlocked it automatically selects apps,writes messages,deletes messages,send messages etc. its like someone is logged in remotley and doing this, what is this and how can i stop it?
I have two e-mail addresses on my phone and for one address, it will randomly delete my messages in the inbox. Sometimes when I open this inbox, I can see the messages just disappear, sometimes before I can even read them. I have it's settings to delete after 1 month and have reset that several times.
I use Safari and Google. Browsing and surfing. For a couple days I will have history and recent sites will be available to me where i left off and then randomly there are no sites available and my history is cleared. I know someone that says you only clear your history if you are sneaky. Since I'm not sneaky or trying to hide any thing it would be nice if I knew how to keep my history and stop it from randomly delete on it's own.
Many of my new contacts will not stay stored in my 4s 32gb. I can save a number today and later not have a trace of that contact. ?? Do I have too many contacts in my Iphone. The memory available is 4 GB but I have 2,579 contacts now.
I am brand new to the iphone (5s) and have a problem when I delete email from phone it also deletes it from the server and it's not available to on my PC inbox. I found the area in settings where it shows what happens to the deleted email on the phone and server. It sends the deleted message to the trash folder on both the phone and server. On the server, it shows all the various folders in my account including the inbox, but the inbox is greyed out and I can't change to that. Is there a setting somewhere where I can make it stay in my inbox on the server.Â
I was a Blackberry user before I just got the iphone and that is the way they handled the emails (not deleted from inbox on server).
When entering events into my calendar on my ipad2 and iPhone 4s they vanish after I save them. Previous entries on my calendars have also vanished. Why?
My IPhone4S occasionally changes names on received mail to telephone numbers, it also deletes any names that were in Contacts - if I change an email back to a name that Contact is not lost
Downloaded MfE 3.00.050 to my E71. Found that periodic synchronization first deletes the contents of my in box and sent box, and then downloads emails from the last day. (I do have the sync setting for emails for the last day). In other words, every x minutes I'm downloading a lot of data. Very inconvenient as it takes several minutes to sync, and also very expensive to sync while roaming on travel out of the country.
Also, my prior version of MfE would update the read flag on emails. Now a periodic sync now ignores whatever was done on my phone, and every x minutes I now have all the emails I read showing up as unread. Is there a way to fix this? I've tried both the server wins and phone wins settings, and there does not seem to be a difference.
I'm a new E66 user, I set up my email on Nokia messaging and started using today. I'm using an IMAP email server. I receives emails into my phone, they are kept in the server but after outlook receives the emails, they are deleted from the server. And after that emails are deleted from my phone immediately. It doesn't wait for 3 days or so.
And also I can't change "3 days" option from the options menu, it says "Setting can not be changed!"when I tried to.
Because I'm a new user, maybe I'm doing something wrong but I tried the options and couldn't find anything about it.I updated phonesoftware and download the last version of Nokia Messaging.
I have had the phone for a week or two now and every now and again my contact list deletes several contacts, and I do not know why. It also on a number of occassions adds several contacts from my email account and I have no idea why? and to top things of, yesterday it duplicated most of my contact list. Is it something im doing by accident?
The phone was just set off to nokia of another unrelated problem in which all the software and everything was updated, the call log is set to 30 days, yet my call log goes after a day.What can be done?
I have a lumia 800 that randomly deletes my contacts from my contacts list, the amount of contacts and when it deletes them is totally random.I contacted nokia support and they suggested a factory reset, which I did and the phone then promptly deleted 4 more of my contacts.I contacted nokia support again and they suggested a rollback to the previous backup before the latest update, tried to do this(twice) but this does not work and I get error code 801812eo.
After updating to Lollipop (months ago I think..), whenever she gets text message phone shows notification , but STOCK sms app doesnt show message AT ALL.
With Google Hangouts she can open the message ONCE, when she clicks back and opens contact/message list again its GONE. Â I have tried clear messaging cache but no lock. Yesterday installed newest 5.1.1 with no dice. I have same phone (Z3 D6603) with NO problems myself. Â This is no way acceptable!
I tried searching but didn't find anything here. I have an unbadged W995. All my contacts and sent and received texts were deleted by mistake. Is there any way to get them back ? I've tried a forensic scan of the MS card and the phone memory to no avail. I'm guessing the texts are stored elsewhere but have been unable to find them. Is it fair to say that sms are no longer stored on the SIM card ?
I've just upgraded my BB App World and suddenly i can no longer login to My Account. It says my email address was not activated or not registered when i tried retrieving my password. When i check my previous purchase, i can see that the email i have used is the same.
Is there any way i can retrieve my ID and password?
I am using 32GB microSD card. If I connect my Xoom to my PC and transfer files, as soon as I reach 4GB utilized storage on the SD card, all files gets disappeared, and moved into the LOST.DIR (renamed).If I unmount the card, put it into my PC, and copy files to it, as soon as I mount this SD in my Xoom all files that were copied to the SD after it reached 4GB in utilized storage, they just get deleted (nothing in the LOST.DIR). Even if I will mark these files as Read-Only they still get deleted.
Everytime I connect my phone (Razr) to my computer and MotoCast (1.1.70) loads up, I find that the next time I open up Microsoft Outlook (2010) I find that all my categories are deleted!I haven't done a sync yet (i've only just gotten the phone)It's now happened to me 3 times (each time after motocast has loaded up).

My Blackberry torch automatically deletes saved text messages. When I go to my saved messages folder most or all of them will be gone. I've noticed that when it begins to delete old messages it turns them green so I can not read them again and old messages that I have saved also turn green and are automatically deleted. This is a highly disappointing weakness of the torch and as I am new to Blackberry I thought saving text messages would be an easy and basic task to do. I have never had this problem with any other make of phone. Other than this problem I have only had a few glitches and like the phone but I would not recommend it.
