Curve 9330 - Unopened Message count Indicator will not reset to zero - have opened, deleted all messages - also checked folders - when a new message arrives it adds on to the old number and will delete when opened returning to old number?
View 1 RepliesFor some reason I have ended up with the unopened message count showing one unopened message. There are no unopened messages on my device. I have cleared the Messages database using the desktop software but the device is still showing one unread message despite there are no messages on my device at all.Any idea how to reset the counter to zero?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to press the blackberry button (think thats what its called) when in my inbox and get various options including mark as unread (as well as forward, reply to all, etc). I now seem to be able to only do from this from in the email itself as if I am in my in box and press the button I need to hold it down and then I get a shortcut menu appearing. Have I accidently created this or has blackberry changed this as I recently upgraded one of their apps (though thought it was messenger)?

After rebooting my phone told me that I had 35 new texts and a number of unread messages. I have tried everything short of deleting all of my messages. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I upgraded to BB OS 5.0 I now have my message indicator default is 10 unread messages. I have gone into SMS, Email, missed calls and have asked to have all messages marked as prior read and it doesn't go away.
so if my day starts with 10 messages marked as unread and I get new ones thru the day it goes up and as I read these messages it goes down BUT never goes below 10.
If I have to reboot due to an app upgrade It may go up, not always but sometimes, I am now @ a steady 14 unread messages according to my message indicator. I really have NO unread messages
For my work email, (Exchange) I have a tile pinned on my home screen. The message count is showing 8 on the icon. All messages have been read, but the message count is not updating. It shouldn't have anything for the message count now, but it is showing 8.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm experiencing a weird glitch that no one (including tech support at Verizon) seems to be able to figure out. I have a gmail account set up on my Bold 9650 and everything works properly EXCEPT that I cannot get it to show me the message count of unread messages (which usually should show up in parenthesis when I scroll over the account envelope icon). It seems that this is an issue with the Bold 9650 in particular because I have gotten the gmail unread message count to work on other blackberry devices, but not my (or another friend's) Bold 9650.

It will only appear as 1 and not 2. how do i solve this problem? Do you experience the same?

I had a samsung charge that had this feature and it was great option. When you are getting emails all day and calendar appointments notification showing up. It is easy to miss text messages notification.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy live tile for Outlook was working until the update. When I get a new email, I don't get the unread message count on the live tile. This worked before the update. I also removed the email account and re-added it, but the message count does not show up on a new email.
I do get the alert sound when I get an email along with a notification, just no count on the live tile.
I have a BlackBerry Bold 9700. I have an unread message indicator (little yellow envelope +3) on my screen, but I don't have any unread messages in my list.
So far, I've tried the following:
1. Typed "u" to search for unread messages and it tells me that I have no unread messages.
2. I went into my email and selected "mark prior unopened" and still nothing.
3. I've tried to restart the phone the phone. When I do, I end up with even more unread messages that I have to select -- over and over again! I can always get it back down to 3, but no fewer.
4. The date and time on my phone appears to be correct.
5. I have no "saved" messages on my phone.
6. I have no new or saved voicemail on my phone.
my new message indicator will not go away. i have no unopened items (even have used Search to try to find them). In the main menu, it always shows a (1) in front of my email address even if i delete all emails.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just got a Nokia E72 and have managed to self teach how to operate all the functions I can see needing, ( no thanks to the paper manual the phone came with). Unfortunately from day 1 there has been a black + white envelope icon flashing at the very bottom of the screen. It can't be reached by the navigator and I have no unread messages nor are the message boxes full.
I have read the manual cover to cover and pressed every help button in the phone to no avail. how to stop this flashing icon as it is starting to drive me crazy. Other than that it seems like a really good phone.
