my new message indicator will not go away. i have no unopened items (even have used Search to try to find them). In the main menu, it always shows a (1) in front of my email address even if i delete all emails.

I recently upgraded to the .610. At first it was just one sms and the number has gone up to 4 unread sms messages and i have looked and searched everywhere, deleted, did numerous battery pulls, even leaving the battery out for an extended amount of time, tried changing the theme etc etc. Is there any way to fix this?
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo I have the Bold 9000, and I was looking at the status of signal in dB. To do this, you go:
Options--> Status.
In 3G, the highest value is -70dB regardless how good the signal is.
In 2G, the highest value seems to be -55dB.
How can you make the 3G status to be as accurate as the 2G status, as in, to display numbers above -70dB...
I'm purchasing a used Bold for $10. The owner says she did a master reset by pressing ctrl+alt+del. The phone went black and only the red indicator light comes on. Did the battery pull and charged it for hours but still nothing. Next steps? What may have happened?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a BlackBerry Bold 9700. I have an unread message indicator (little yellow envelope +3) on my screen, but I don't have any unread messages in my list.
So far, I've tried the following:
1. Typed "u" to search for unread messages and it tells me that I have no unread messages.
2. I went into my email and selected "mark prior unopened" and still nothing.
3. I've tried to restart the phone the phone. When I do, I end up with even more unread messages that I have to select -- over and over again! I can always get it back down to 3, but no fewer.
4. The date and time on my phone appears to be correct.
5. I have no "saved" messages on my phone.
6. I have no new or saved voicemail on my phone.
I have an email message indicator which won't go away. I have no unread messages in any of my email accounts. I tried pulling the battery and re booting. Didn't work.I even tried deleteing the email accounts, but this didn't work either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently got my Blackberry Bold 9700 and I used to use crunchsms on my Blackberry Curve 8520 so I didn't mind the message indicator whenever I got an email because crunchsms had it's own message indicator. I now realize that whenever I receive a text and email it results to the same message indicator. I have done: Messages > Options > Inbox Settings and have unclicked my email account so that the message inbox remain separate. I don't understand how I have the latest OS version yet have to deal with this. Is there someone who can help? Or is there a theme that I can download that separates the sms/mms and email complete so that I may get two entire different message notifications?

After I read the message and save or delete it the message light still flashes. Why is this and why won't the light stop flashing? The only way I can get it to stop flashing is take the battery out and put it back in. Verizon is my carrier and it is a Verizon 9650 phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe unread message indicator for a mailbox does not always clear after reading all new messages in the inbox. I have multiple inboxes, sometime after reading or opening all messages; or "mark all messages open" the red asterisk is still displayed with the the mailbox icon. The unread message count is 0, i.e.. Not displayed. The only way I can clear the red asterisk is to change inbox settings and save. I usually de-select and re-select an option so i get he save changes dialog. This does not always happen but happens enough to be aggravating since i have 5 mailboxes and use the indicator to determine which one i need to open for new messages. I recently upgrades from a 9650 which did NOT have this behavior.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I sent a text to somebody and then I checked back at the message center and it has this little icon that resembles a cell phone. I was a little puzzled yet intrigued.I tried to google it and nothing came up. Also when I checked bbm on that person that I sent the text to, the icon appeared again. Its just a verticle rectangle with a white box in the top of portion of the man rectangle. Again the icon looks like a cellphone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI did all the relevant updates, desktop software to v6, and phone to 5.0.0.862, but since plugging the phone in, and then taking it out once it had done all the updates, everytime i turn the phone off then on, or battery pull, i recieve a new sms message indicator. However, the message that shows up isnt new at all, EVERYTIME, it is the last message recieved in just one conversation with one person, whether they sent it, or i did.its starting to get annoying as, if this is occuring what else could be.
Plus everytime i plug phone into laptop, and i then go into Blackberry messenger, all the conversations have been wiped and i dont seem to get updates from people.

Having the same issues as everyone else for the dropped calls, SMS, etc.I am also having a small issue with the New Message Inditcators.When I get a new email, I can go to the main message folder which shows all the messages. If I view it there, the new message indicator for that folder disappears, but it stays on the other folder (gmail, SMS, etc). Is there a way to get it to clear like on my old Curve? Also, want help with changing the sound for my voicemail notifier. I can't find it anywhere in my sound profiles. Can anyone find it? I want to change it.

Yesterday, I picked up the phone and there was no red indicator light blinking -- however, when I touched my mouse I realized that there had been an incoming message on my BlackBerry Messenger sitting there for about 3 hours. I did not pick up my BlackBerry sooner because I did not see any red light when I walked into the room during that 3-hour period. What can I do to make sure this red light blinks forever until I finally notice it and review the message?

Everytime a new email comes through there is a header that displays for 5 seconds with the subject line and who it is from, myold storm 2 never did this. I have looked everywhere in the options settings to stop it, anyone know how to?

I am currently using the latest release of 5.0 and last night my phone was working fine. When I woke up this morning, my screen had the "App error 205" message on it. That is two failures in one month now and I have to go to work in a few minutes so I won't even have time to wipe my device to at least have a working phone for the day. Does anyone have an idea why this junk keeps happening?

at the end has a OK button but I can't click! I press the scroll, enter key, space key and nothing! If I don't click in this button I can't do anything in the phone!
If I pull over the batery and boot the phone, it's starts normally and this screen appear again and I stuck again!
I removed my media card, transferred some pics to my computer, then re-inserted my media card. Have done this dozens of times, but this time when I re-inserted the media card I got a message saying "Media card inserted contains errors please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer." I have no idea what this means.
