So I've just got around to updating my 9360 to what I think is 7.1 After I deleted the unused languages and created space for it, the phone started a data back up But when it got to 15% it just stopped and didn't move, I left it all evening (so about 4hrs) and still nothing, so I turned it off and took the battery out. I put it back in again and the back up started again, but this time it got to 8% and stopped , I left it over night but nothing. Because the phone is rendered useless until this is finished. Oh and also, I've tried plugging it in to mycomputer to updatethrough the software but obviously it won't connect?
I recently got an update that required a backup. I left my phone on over night. I woke up and discovered an App Error 603. I clicked reset, then it restarted the phone. However, it takes me back to the backup your data screen at 0%. Then an application permerssion notice comes up with Allow or Deny. I try to click either one and it freezes and goes back to the App Error 603 notice.
I have a CURVE 8520.The device is wiped and I lost all my data. I have installed BB Protect but there are no backup files, how can I find the old backup files from this software BB Protect.
I am using blackberry protect to backup data. The backup went well as usual, though I cannot restore my Phone Number/contacts as it says: "This data is wirelessly synchronized with a remote service and cannot be restored by blackberry protect". This has resulted me not having any phone numbers. How do I restore my phone numbers? I have BB a curve 9300(3g)
I have backed up data via Desktop Manager for a Curve 8520 which has recently been stolen. I would like to import only the Contact List contained in that back up data from the stolen device to a new Curve 8520. However I do not see any method to do that other than to "Import Files" to the new Curve from the backup data via Desk Top Manager from PC. Is that possible or is that not the mechanism to accomplish this??
I reflashed all the factory images to my Nexus 6P (except userdata), and then restored a TWRP backup of the data partition. This worked, my phone boots up and obviously has my installed apps, etc. But... on the Nexus 6P when you restart the phone you have to enter your lock pattern or PIN. My phone was previously configured with a pattern. It seems the TWRP data backup didn't backup the lock pattern, because it doesn't recognize my pattern.
My fingerprint is recognized, but on the Nexus 6P you still have to enter the lock pattern or PIN when you first reboot. So, I have no way to get into the phone. I tried setting a new lock screen password with Android Device Manager, but it doesn't work. I still get the screen asking for the lock pattern. Is there any way I can get into my phone without blowing away all the data?
The part on my BB Curve 8330 where you charge/sync it is loose and starting to fall out. I'm unable to charge/sync my phone anymore. Is there a way I can save all the information on my phone without syncing it?? I don't even remember the last time I did it, so I know there's a lot of new info on my phone. Also, does anyone know if this is covered under the Verizon Warranty?? I would appreciate any help ya'll could offer me! Thanks so much!!!
I have been religiously doing auto-backup on to a remote hard drive. But now I cannot seem to access any of those files at all. It keeps saying I have no administrative permission to view the files. Even when copied to my desktop, I can't use them to restore. The issue that started this all is that I switched computers. And every time I sync, the desktop program wants to add or delete about 1200 past calendar items. I have been reticent to allow the sync to continue because I did not want to lose data, but today I said, "what the hell" and let it continue. It deleted everything from BOTH the handheld and computer prior to May, when I started using the new computer. So when I try to reinstall the older backup file to retrieve the lost data, now the program won't let me access the files I saved so religiously.
I have been trying to update my 9360 to OS 7.1 since last night, but I could neither back up my phone nor update, the connection is alright and it has already started the backup/upate process, but it kept stopping at a certain point, and GOT STUCK, I had no choice but force remove the USB to solve it, anyone had experience like this? and know how to solve it? or how can i get tech support from blackberry?
I have had this error message on my Curve 8520.What solutions are there besides wipping the data on the device. Is there a way to backup the data before erasing all the data? I have looked into these solutions: url...The solution using JL_Cmder/javaloader its not working as I have XP64 and OS X.Desktop manager does not recognize the device and/or freezes. Hence I am unable to do a backup.
I am updating the software on my Curve 9360, and it is in the 'Backing Up Your Data' part at the start, but has stopped at 13% of the overall backup process. It has been stuck at this for over an hour, any tips on what to do? If I turn it off/take the battery out, will I lose the data on my phone?
My data port on my 3 month old 8330 died and Sprint gave me a new one today. The contacts were transferred at the store - but after I restored from my DM backup done one week ago - none of my other settings were restored. What did I do wrong or what have I missed? Sprint rep told me the backup restore would get my new 8330 back to being just like the old one - but it's not.I want to get my email settings, apps, ring tones, wallpapers etc, back. I don't want to have to create everything over again when I have a good backup.
i just installed the desktop software on my mac and accidentally updated not realising this would cause me to lose my contacts, have looked for an ipd file but can't find anything can anyone please point me in the right direction.
whenever i go onto a website in a place where i am connected to free wifi, it says i am on a service plan that requires a wifi connection to use the application and need to update my data plan. The only website that works is facebook. What do i do?
AT&T and iPhone data use charges - WiFi and cellular link options Many people have complained about unusual data usage charges on their AT&T iPhone bills -- often 10s of megabytes in one transaction, posted in the middle of the night. Here are a couple of updates based on the AT&T support portal: WiFi vs cellular link: Connecting to a local WiFi hotspot and turning off your cellular data connection will block cellular data transmission and related charges. (Except for SMS messages, which are very small.) There are some gotchas, however: (a) If your iPhone goes 'to sleep' (the screen goes black), it will revert to the cellular data link, unless it is plugged into a charger. (b) Even if your iPhone is plugged into a charger, it will revert to a cellular data connection if the WiFi link drops, e.g. due to a momentary glitch with your internet provider or electric power supply, so.... (c) The only way to completely ensure that your iPhone will not revert to a cellular data connection is to turn it completely off. You (obviously) will not be able to receive calls, however.
Large data transactions in the middle of the night: Unusually large 'chunks' of data that are apparently sent around midnight are a related issue. You may think that you could avoid these mystery charges by making sure you have a WiFi connection running at night. A number of 'czars' on AT&T's site stated, however, that this is are simply an artifact of AT&T's billing system, which "aggregates" transactions that occur throughout the day into one summary charge, which is posted in the middle of the night. If this is accurate, the data connection(s) you use throughout the day will determine how large this 'summary' transaction will be.
Note: Our bill does not appear to square with AT&T's explanation. For example:
39 04/06/2012 09:36PM phone Data Transfer 7 KB 0.0040 04/06/2012 10:35PM phone Data Transfer 7 KB 0.0041 04/06/2012 10:41PM phone Data Transfer 369,759 KB 30.00
If all of the data from 6 April was 'rolled up' into the massive 369.8 megabyte transaction at 10:41pm, why are there two small transactions at 9:36pm and 10:35? We installed Onavo to try to get to the bottom of this;; I will post the results at the end of the current billing cycle.

I finished my first indoor run today and the run data on the motoactv device and treadmill don't match. I completed my workout and came home and synced my data. Is there a way to update the run data on the website to match the treadmill data or does the update have to happen on the device prior to syncing?
previously on the 2.1 when we go to setting and to privacy there was a option to backing up the data to the sd card but on 2.2 the option of privacy is not available at all!
I was using a Motorola Atrix phone for a few years running Android 2.3.6. On this phone I was playing The Tribez for many months. I have moved up to an HTC ONE. Love the phone and very happy that I moved to it. The last thing I need is to find a way to move my Tribez app with the game data to my new HTC ONE. I have not had any success looking in the Play Store for a backup and restore utility that work on both devices and also move the app data with the app.
Which app do I use to backup data on my phone? And does anyone know if it's possible to restore to a Galaxy SII?I have the Samsung Galaxy Vibrant SGH-T959. url...
I recently got an iPhone 4S at an Apple store. They set it up for me, and instructed me how to backup my old iPhone onto my new one later. It's been a few days. If do the backup now, will I lose items added on the new phone since I've been using it?
I want to use iTunes to backup my iPhone but I want it to do it the same as iCloud does. So I want it to save app data as well when I try and do it I can store the apps on my computer but not the app data.
Why I can't do full backup of my data? When I log in to BB protect in section my data I can see few back ups when I try to do backup on my phone is performing only recent backup and I can't choose the oldest one. And anyway why I can't keep all the texts on my phone after sending data all texts are gone
I have an Xperia X10a. I wanted to update my phone, but am unable to backup my data as suggested. I get a message that says "Install blocked. For security, your phone is set to block installation of applications not sourced in Android Market.' I do NOT have the option to change the settings. My provider is AT&T.
I went to clear out cache data in my apps the other day and noticed almost all programs show 12.00Kb cache sizes, but the app data listed has grown to ridiculous sizes. Facebook, all Google programs, etc. Nearly every installed program. Facebook's shows its app data at almost 200 MB!!! Wtf?! It's less than a 15MB program, so clearly the cache files are being stored as app data, and therefore cannot be removed without wiping configs for the programs.

FYI the phone is under warranty and there is no proper response.from the nokia centre so i have decided to repair it myself. Is there any workaround for this issue ?
I have a jailbroken phone and since i have jailbroken, I have made progress in games. Since it is jailbroken, can I still backup this data using itunes? Is there another way to backup?
I am trying to back up all my data before doing a security swipe (impossible to connect to BBID and this seems to be the only solution...) but Blackberry Protect isn't working online (it says my phone is busy and the back up cannot be completed).I've tried to back up via my software but none of my contacts, pics, calendars or tasks appear when I click on the logo. I cannot even update the phone's software as nothing seems to work... I cannot use my phone properly and there is no way to call IRM (O2 said they could not help, great...).
