BB Torch :: Old Emails Being Resent To Phone
Jul 4, 2011I've been getting email notifications on my BB Torch for emails that have been in my Hotmail inbox for months. Started with random emails from Jan and Feb. Now I'm getting notifications on my phone for messages that I either deleted or moved out of my inbox into a different folder.The messages that are being resent don't show up in the hotmail inbox as a new message.

Aug 12, 2011I have been receiving email messages from August 7th that have been deleted. I have logged into my email on the computer and completely deleted them but I keep receiving them on my Blackberry. I get the same 4 messages about 5-6 times a day. I have tried everything. I updated the BB, I removed the battery, i deleted the email account off of the BB and readded it.

At first only a few a day, now its more than 6 every day.How can I stop this. The message was also deleted and the battery pulled out and phone completely restarted.

Jun 20, 2012Is there no multiple delete on the Blackberry I cannot seem to sync my email with my phone, and have tried all the reconcile and settings and they do not seem to work. I have quite a few emails everyday and it's a pain having to delete them one by one.Ideally it would be great if I could just delete them on my PC and they would be deleted on the Blackberry, but this system does not seem to work for some reason, and why they never put a multiple delete on the phone in the first place is beyond me. I would of thought it to be a must for any phone to have.

Nov 12, 2012I have an older model Curve 8330. Ever since I have had this device my gmail account has been linked to the phone (i.e. when I receive a new email in my gmail inbox it shows up as a new message on my phone's screen). For the past 6-months I have had my Sprint service on standby mode because I have been away (standby mode means you pay $8.99/month to keep the account and phone # active but the service is turned off). When I turned my normal service back on my gmail account was no longer linked to my phone. At this point the only way I can access my gmail account from my phone is via the gmail icon on the home screen. What I am trying to do is get my gmail account linked back to my phone so I receive incoming emails on my phone just like I would an incoming text message. I also want to be able to compose and send a new emails from my home screen. Right now the only way to do this is via the gmail icon which is not what I want. At the present time if I try to compose an email from the message screen on my phone I receive the following message "No message services configured. You will only be able to Save Draft." I have tried taking the battery out of the phone and turning it back on and that does nothing. I have also created a BlackBerry email address thinking I could setup my gmail account to forward to the BlackBerry address but that is no working either because new emails to the BlackBerry address are not showing up as new messages on the phone either. I had this setup the way I wanted for years and it worked fine but ever since I turned the service back on from standby I cannot get it to work.

Jul 30, 2011I damaged my old phone. It was replaced today.Everything was going well other than the email.I go to set up, select e mail accounts. I get the message saying a new device has been detected. The app show my seven accounts. I select Move Email Accounts and for each one I am asked to enter the password which I do. Each time the app says the password is validate. After entering all seven everything seems toi be OK. No error message. However it just hasn't worked. The e mail is not showing. When I return to setup I am once again asked to go through the same process and get the initial message saying I have a new device.This presently makes the whole phone a waste of time.I have tried entering the e mails as new ones, but this is rejected as they are already on the machine. What can I do about this?

Aug 5, 2010Every so often, I check Outlook and notice e-mails that were never received on my Blackberry.Here's what I know:
1) the problem only rarely occurs, so I can't recreate it for others to see
3) a user can send me dozens of e-mails without a problem, then inexplicably one will go missing (so it isn't a single user issue)
4) carrier is Verizon they claim it is Yahoo's issue, because no other e-mails are effected (I use Yahoo Small Business e-mail)
5) Yahoo claims it is not their issue since e-mails are being received in Outlook
6) Outlook is configured to leave all of my messages on the server (it is a pop3 account if that matters)
7) The e-mails are not being received into Spam or any other folder
Here's what I've done (in no particular order):
1) hard reset
2) resent service books
3) added and deleted my e-mail account
4) checked all of my settings
5) re-registered with Verizon
6) threw a tantrum
7) screamed wildly at my co-workers for no reason
8) drank a few beers
9) broke up with my girlfriend
10) took a nap

May 13, 2010Everytime i go to Setup->Email Setup->it says "i want to use a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server"as i have no other option, i click next..then it asks me if i have an Enterprise Activation password.I dont have one, and i dont know how to get one.Even when i click yes, it asks for my email id and password, and an activation server address.

Jan 29, 2010Previous to recent update, I could delete messages either on just the 8330 or I could delete the message from both the 8330 and the primary e-mail box from which it transferred. Now after the update, I can only delete from the 8330. Is there a way to get this feature back?

Aug 11, 2010I have a Curve 8330 on the Sprint network. About a day and a half ago I stopped receiving my emails on my phone. I can't send email either. SMS, MMS, Blackberry messenger all work fine. My email account works fine if I log in through the browser. My wife has the same phone and also has a hotmail email account and hasn't had any problems.Any ideas on how to fix this?

I took the phone into a phone shop and they cleared the phone again but I am still receiving his emails. When you go to email setup the only address/account showing is my email, so I can't just disassociate the phone from his account that way.

Feb 7, 2010I don't have a BES account but trying to think of a way to have BB sent mails show up in my Outlook Sent box. Could one setup an address as say, BBsentmail@****. com, send a BCC's to that address from the BB and set up an Outlook rule to direct all emails containing BBsent@****.com to the Sent folder? What if something is sent from Outlook? I guess one could send a BCC to himself but it would end up in the Blackberry's Inbox and not sent box. Can rules/filters be applied in Blackberry's email client (I haven't set mine up yet)?
On a similar note, if the Blackberry server pushes the email to my blackberry before Outlook has a chanse to receive it, will Outlook still download it? Does BB leave a copy on the server? Also, I still have a ton of emails on my server because Outlook is already set to leave a copy on the server. If I don't delete these, BB will download all of them, correct?

Sep 7, 2010With the latest software update (V5.0.0.807), my Yahoo icon is gone. Cannot locate it.Also, after I perfomed the update, all of the preloaded and my downloaded ring tones are not recognized. States ""invalid ring tone selected, please make another selection" for every one.
Now my phone won't ring, or alert for SMS or email, or direct connect.Video camera also appears not to be functioning. Getting an error message of "Error Playing. device media processor is busy." when nothing else is running.

Jan 25, 2010One step forward 2 steps back! I had a problem with my e-mails I stopped receiving messages on Friday and since talking to the service centre I now have 2 icons on my main screen. The new one has a globe at the bottom and my email address at the top when I scroll over it. All very nice but totally unnecessary.
Since this icon has appeared all my emails on my main computer are being marked as read. They were not before Friday Any ideas??
BB Curve :: 3G 9300 Setup A Personal Email Account On The Phone Via The Setup Wizard
May 14, 2011I bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

Feb 11, 2010My colleague had a blackberry curve 8900 and this was then passed to me as he left the company. My sim works in the phone fine but I am unable to set up my email as it says there is one already set up. Im no longer in contact with my colleague and not sure what to do. Is there any way of renewing this? When I go to email setup it doesnt have the option of create new email.

For example, it received new email of July 30 and automically load the old email of May 30 again to the blackberry. The loading of old mail happens everyday. Messages - catchall for everything
Desktop email icon
2nd/personal email icon
However, I switched back to the Curve (8530) because of the keyboard, and now I don't have a primary desktop email icon. The only way to view work email is to use the messages icon where everything else goes as well. Is there any way to create or separate the two email accounts so I can view the work email separately?
