Is there no multiple delete on the Blackberry I cannot seem to sync my email with my phone, and have tried all the reconcile and settings and they do not seem to work. I have quite a few emails everyday and it's a pain having to delete them one by one.Ideally it would be great if I could just delete them on my PC and they would be deleted on the Blackberry, but this system does not seem to work for some reason, and why they never put a multiple delete on the phone in the first place is beyond me. I would of thought it to be a must for any phone to have.
Why is it that whenever I upgrade the BB s//w, I loose all my settings, emails, calendar appt's, etc? This time, I can't seem to sync my phone and email account. Most of what was in my outlook has been deleted and stuff on my BB that isn't in Outlook is duplicated but not transferring over.
I am a new BB user and need some assistance.I currently use Comcast as my email provider.I am able to send and recieve emails to my BB, but not sync or reconcile. I would like to mark the messages as sent/responded to.Also, If I delete a message on my BB or my computer I want it deleted on both devices.I want to be able to respond to email using my BB and my Comcast email. I guess it is something to do with the POP?This seems super silly and quite a bit of extra work to double delete items, or to re-read messages. Every other phone does not seem to have an issue, not even my 5 year old phone. Is the issue a BB thing?
The only way to transfer contacts, as far as I've read, is that i have to import my contacts into my gmail account. I don't want to use my gmail account to hold all my contacts because I used Outlook.com for emails. If i were to ever make a new contact on my phone, it then wouldn't sync with my windows live acct. Am I missing something?I should just be able to hook up my email on my phone and have it sync everything, not just email
I have an SLS Galaxy 5. I am current on system updates. I am using the Email app for my exchange server email. Whenever I hit refresh, and often when I simply open the app, I get a message at the bottom of the screen that says 'Email sync turned off.' I have go to through the process of 'Manage Accounts, select account, Sync Settings, and check the 'Sync Email' box every time. Then it syncs, I read my email, exit the app, and I start the process over again the next time I open the app.
A few weeks back I started noticing that my e-mail (both the standard e-mail and my e-mail exchange) won't update for hours at a time. I either need to restart the phone or do a manual sync, and then it will check my e-mails again for a while. Then it goes back to not checking. I've gone into the settings on both accounts and made sure that I've selected PUSH and also that I have not selected to only check during peak times.
I have just gotten my first BB and am having issues with my email accounts syncing between my handset and server. I have two accounts one of which is a gmail set up through email wizard. When I check email online, often read messages stay marked unread for hours and days. The next day I can come back and the emails still haven't synced. Is anyone else having a problem with a very slow sync between the device and server?
In the meantime, I've downloaded the gmail app to use but I would prefer using bb's set-up.
I have a black berry curve and my new work email is <Personal Content Removed> and it will not sync for me to get emails on my blackberry. I tried using the enterprise and the internet options and does not work. When I use the enterprise I do get an immediate email from blackberry but nothing ever synchs. When I try using the internet option is just says it is invalid.
Synced my phone with my gmail account last night and after doing this all my contacts were lost.Im sure this is an easy fix but I am not familiar with the phone. I make sure that the filters were off so its not that.If I go into "options" and go into "contact lists" it has my email address and says that I have "89" entries. But the phone will not display any of my contact entries.
I have set up email on my BB and receive OK however the BB emails do not update when I have read or deleted them on my laptop and visa versa. I also keep getting email messages that say " This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server" and a load of code. I get loads of these in one day/night. My work email is being accessed via MS Webmail as far as I understand.
I have a BB9300 curve and I can't change my contact sync either. The email contact is an older one and I have deleted the account from by BB, but to no avail. I can't change default email to sync contact in my bb torch no matter what I tried. Your tips also didn't work
I have the 5.0.1 desktop manager, and want to sync with my microsoft calendar from a vista pc. I go to synchronize and choose synchronize organizer data. When I get to select device application, I choose calendar but the only choices I have are ASC Importer/Exporter and Yahoo. Why isn't my microsoft calendar available? and how do I get it to be an option?
One of our users has Outlook contacts with multiple phone numbers (work, mobile etc.).His Blackberry is only synching the primary "work" phone number.we use wireless sync, on a BES.Some of his contacts appear to have come across with multiple numbers, but some not.
From time to time, I experience that my Xperia X10 does not automatically sync e-mail accounts (using the supplied/standard e-mail application). I've set up a number of e-mail acocunts (6) with different update rates ranging from 15 to 60 minutes. I can go in to one of the accounts, whereby it syncs and I can see that I have received a number of new e-mails (for a period more than 6-12 hours, without receiving any type of notification.
This is really annoying since I miss important emails. What can be done to ensure that they sync automatically and that I receive notifications?
I bought the X10 mini pro simply because I love SE phones and I wanted to have my office e-mail with me where ever I go but I have been so disappointed. It's never been possible tp set up my e-mail on the Roadsync application from Android 2.1 there is this error -1002 that I get any time I try to Synchronize my mails and this is getting me crazy; one of the most important reason I bought the the X10 mini pro - get my corporate e-mails is becoming impossible. When it is connected on WiFi, it does sync all my emails but immediately it is switched to 3G all the mails in the inbox disappears and it's not able to sync again.
I have been in direct contact with RIM to ask why I cannot send a text communication thru BBM to a friend, while I am on the phone. They said you can if you are connected via Wi-Fi.
I am having problems with the email on my blackberry - every time I reply to an email, I get sent the original email (which I am replying to) to my phone again.
all the blackberry stuff works but I cant find the email setting, it shows me a message that says that I need a code activation from blackberry enterprise. I need the email on my phone!
I have an older model Curve 8330. Ever since I have had this device my gmail account has been linked to the phone (i.e. when I receive a new email in my gmail inbox it shows up as a new message on my phone's screen). For the past 6-months I have had my Sprint service on standby mode because I have been away (standby mode means you pay $8.99/month to keep the account and phone # active but the service is turned off). When I turned my normal service back on my gmail account was no longer linked to my phone. At this point the only way I can access my gmail account from my phone is via the gmail icon on the home screen. What I am trying to do is get my gmail account linked back to my phone so I receive incoming emails on my phone just like I would an incoming text message. I also want to be able to compose and send a new emails from my home screen. Right now the only way to do this is via the gmail icon which is not what I want. At the present time if I try to compose an email from the message screen on my phone I receive the following message "No message services configured. You will only be able to Save Draft." I have tried taking the battery out of the phone and turning it back on and that does nothing. I have also created a BlackBerry email address thinking I could setup my gmail account to forward to the BlackBerry address but that is no working either because new emails to the BlackBerry address are not showing up as new messages on the phone either. I had this setup the way I wanted for years and it worked fine but ever since I turned the service back on from standby I cannot get it to work.
I damaged my old phone. It was replaced today.Everything was going well other than the email.I go to set up, select e mail accounts. I get the message saying a new device has been detected. The app show my seven accounts. I select Move Email Accounts and for each one I am asked to enter the password which I do. Each time the app says the password is validate. After entering all seven everything seems toi be OK. No error message. However it just hasn't worked. The e mail is not showing. When I return to setup I am once again asked to go through the same process and get the initial message saying I have a new device. This presently makes the whole phone a waste of time.I have tried entering the e mails as new ones, but this is rejected as they are already on the machine. What can I do about this?
Every so often, I check Outlook and notice e-mails that were never received on my Blackberry. Here's what I know:
1) the problem only rarely occurs, so I can't recreate it for others to see 3) a user can send me dozens of e-mails without a problem, then inexplicably one will go missing (so it isn't a single user issue) 4) carrier is Verizon they claim it is Yahoo's issue, because no other e-mails are effected (I use Yahoo Small Business e-mail) 5) Yahoo claims it is not their issue since e-mails are being received in Outlook 6) Outlook is configured to leave all of my messages on the server (it is a pop3 account if that matters) 7) The e-mails are not being received into Spam or any other folder
Here's what I've done (in no particular order): 1) hard reset 2) resent service books 3) added and deleted my e-mail account 4) checked all of my settings 5) re-registered with Verizon 6) threw a tantrum 7) screamed wildly at my co-workers for no reason 8) drank a few beers 9) broke up with my girlfriend 10) took a nap
Everytime i go to Setup->Email Setup->it says "i want to use a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server"as i have no other option, i click next..then it asks me if i have an Enterprise Activation password.I dont have one, and i dont know how to get one.Even when i click yes, it asks for my email id and password, and an activation server address.
My wife just lost her BB 8520 and we now have a new one. Im just worried that the emal sent to her other BlackBerry phone will still be sent there. How can this be stopped?
Previous to recent update, I could delete messages either on just the 8330 or I could delete the message from both the 8330 and the primary e-mail box from which it transferred. Now after the update, I can only delete from the 8330. Is there a way to get this feature back?
