I have lost my text messages and my BBM. I have tried the "Unhide" function and it is not there. I have tried the "Options, General Options" answer, but the general options is not there either. I only have email on my phone.
I ve lost my text icon and alert from my Curve 9360 . I ve tried following all information on phone - troubleshooting etc- things they say dont seem to appear on my phone.
My Blackberry curve 9360 is new but not and then SMS text messages wont come through now they've just stopped al together. Ive checked the firewall and thats not on so they should be coming through. I can send texts but i cant receive them.
I am wanting to know is there a way to delete multiple email messages or normal messages for that matter at one time.If i receive like 20 emails, do I really need to delete each one individually? As it's major painful. Even my old dilapidated cell phone could delete mutiple messages at once.
I recently lost the battery to my Blackberry Curve 9360, so I bought another one, but the shopowner said I needed activate it with my original battery? But I lost that one .. So what do I do now?
my blackberry is not allowing me to see my e mail messages in the phone. It was working fine and suddenly it stopped working.I have tried deleting the email account and setting it up again and it has not worked.
I have two 9360 white and black. Both using Indonesia Telkomsel Simpati prepaid line. Both has same BB package. Both using OS 7.1.0.258Everything identically same. Both can login to WLM.The white one cannot receive messages. Can send but cannot receive. When I send from my laptop it seems already sent but phone does not receive anything.I installed old version, it worked once, when I logout and re login, doesn't work again.Uninstalled and re installed new version, still not working.I inserted black phones sim card (which is working) to white phone. Still same problem. So it's definitely not carrier problem.Uninstalled WLM again but this time also deleted all 3 service book too. Restart phone and reinstalled wlm again.
My Blackberry Curve 9360 is not deleting messages from the server meaning that, after returning home from a week working away, I've still got a few hundred messages to wade through on my PC. I receive e-mails on the PC via Outlook Express. I've clicked on 'tools', 'accounts' then 'advanced' to ensure that the box for 'leave a copy of the message on the server' is unchecked i.e. messages should be being deleted from the server when prompted to by the phone but this is not happening. Not sure what else to try or perhaps there was something I did / didn't do during the set-up of the phone.
I have noticed that some of my old text message on my bb torch no longer seem to appear. They show in the sms folder highlighted green i.e as it shows a draft sms however when I click into them there is nothing in there. Does anybody know what the reason for this is and how I can fix it/get these messages back or at least stop it from doing it again.
I have already set the storage to keep forever so should not be deleted automatically.
just got a new Curve 9360. The default text message display shows all messages i.e. if I've sent a text most recently that is what I see at the top. What I want it to do is show the SMS Inbox (which I can navigate to via the folder options, but I can't find a way to set it as a default). Can't work out how to do it either on the device or when connected to the PC.
I got my new Blackberry Curve 9360 Yesterday. After my activation completed, Everything worked fine, Including BBM. Last night my fone turned to GSM signal due to weather and this morning, everything is working except Blackberry Messenger. I can receive BBM messages but the ones I send does not go through. Whatsapp, Email and Facebook is working, it is Only BBM that does not deliver messages to my contacts.
When I select the envelope icon for new e-mail messages, I got forwarded to the missed calls listing. The same occurs when I select SMS, it also goes immediately to missed calls. What should I do? Removing the batt when power on has been done already but no help.Is there somewhere a code to reset my device? Maybe another method without loosing my data, settings, and messages?
i have a brand spanking new BlackBerry Curve 9360 that just arrived yesterday. It is great apart from this very frustrating small prob. I can not customise my message alerts for individual people in my address book. When I click on "try it" only the LED button flashes and there is no sound or vibration. I am trying to get the sound and vibrate to play as "active profile" but it just won't. I can override it and have custom volume and vibrate that plays no matter what the profile but as I sometimes like to set my main profile to vibrate or silent, it won't do.
So far, to fix it, I have tried: Wiping profile and sounds from the blackberry softwareFull factory resetCreating my own profile and using that instead of "normal" or any of the other preset onesLoads of battery pulls before and/or after any changesI have also had a few different people text me to make sure the problem isn't just the "try it" feature. It isn't. The sound that plays is always the default message sound for whatever the default profile is.
I have read through a number of forum posts and posts around the internet concerning whether or not you can recover lost text messages on the IPhone. The conclusion I've come to is that you can on iOS 4 (the text message files are actually still there until you sync next), but that isn't true for iOS 3. Is that true? I would very much like to get back some text messages that I've deleted on an IPhone 3G using iOS 3. It has not been synced since I deleted the messages, but the last backup I have is before I received the messages.
My phone crashed when I received a message one day, when it came back on all my messages had gone, some were important. Is there anyway to retrieve my messages, will they be hidden in my phone somewhere.
Just upgraded from Curve 8520 to Curve 9360, and I'm a little disappointed at the moment. Firstly, the battery doesn't last half as long, and secondly, its sending duplicate text in an email.
E.g.: I send an email saying : Hi, how are you?. What it really sends is : Hi, how are you? Hi, how are you? </div>
Have had the same problem on some of our Curves with the 7.1 update. They can't scroll through text message/message conversations using the trackpad. With the 9360s its fine as if we downgrade to 7.0 the problem doesn't happen, but the 9320s come with 7.1 so there isn't an option to downgrade.
When i was checking my emails on my Blackberry Torch 9880 the screen froze. During this time i know i got a text message (heard the text alert sound). My Blackberry automatically reset itself and when it had rebooted i had lost the previous 2 days worth of messages...including the new text which i was unable to read.
I recently changed phone providers and at the same time upgraded from an Iphone 3 old provider to an Iphone 4 with the new provider. Same phone number- I had it trasnferred..
But 1- all my text messages are gone and 2 all my whats app chats are gone.
And yes, I backed up and synced my phone on Itunes before swapping. How can I get it back?
I'm not sure if it is a phone problem or network problem but over the last 3 or 4 months I'm not getting texts from people. At first it was rare but now it has been happening more often. People keep thinking I'm ignoring them but I'm simply not getting them.
My Blackberry curve 9360 doesn't text anymore. I can receive texts but when I try to text someone it doesn't send and it's written in red "Invalid mandatory information".
I have a bb Curve 9360 and my text icon has disappeared from my home screen. I can no longer send or receive text messages. I looked on bb tech support page and it said something to do with turning 'fixed dialing" off. I cannot seem to access anything to get it back and working again.
I bought my blackberry about 4 months ago and it has been working fine with SIM cards from different countries, until now! My provider is O2, and I lost my SIM card and so I had to get a new one to replace it, and after it has been registered and everything sorted out from the provider's side, I found out I cant make any calls, send texts nor receive calls on my phone! Sim card works fine, as I have tried using it on a different handset. So it is my blackberry. Is it the settings I have to change? I hope I don't have to send it for repair.
