Just restored my bbm contacts from my old blackberry bold on the 8520 curve, but most of my contacts aren't getting my messages. Reboot does not help. Do I have to delete my contacts and reinvite all of them?
my blackberry just got nuked and all of the data hasn't been backed up yet (I know, foolish thing). I was wondering if the remote back up feature could be automatically done. I have registered my email account on my blackberry device but not yet remotely back ups all the pin.
I'm trying to access my device memory through mass storage. But when i connect with Mass storage, i can only access the SD-card. This also happens when i go to options -> memory - There i can only see application memory, and media card, but no device memory, like in other phones.
Checking programatically for file:///store/home/user, shows it exists, and i'm able to save files to it. So - How do i get back my device memory ? Any one else experiencing these problems?
security wipe (not done on purpose ) deleted all my contacts but nothing else . Is there any way by any means to get them back ? No sink backup was mad prior to this and just now have a computer to use to do this or anything else . the security wipe had something to do with spelling blackberry and entering a password . The reason was to delete a certificate but once I enetered the password the screen went white ----a progress bar appeared and when it was done and rebooted all my contacts were gone and the cert was still there.
I got my blackberry stolen yesterday, is it possible to retrieve back all the contacts via email, because I want all the contacts to be on my new blackberry.
I am being forced by my company to get a new phone that is not a blackberry. But is there a way to save all contacts to my SIM card? Not doing one by one so that all my numbers will transfer over to my new phone. Ir is there a way to make sure all my numbers get to my new phone?
I am getting a replacement 8530 for my current 8530 because my trackpad is off centered and recently I am now able to move it around. I called verizon explained everything and their answer "software problem, we're sending you a new one under your warranty" Whatever, its physical not software, but they are sending me out a replacement anyways so I dont care.
However, how do I put stuff on the new one? I use blackberry desktop manager, and click "Backup" and it backs up. When I connect the new one do I just click "Restore"? Also when I back up, the tab for contacts is grayed out and I CANNOT click it. So I wont be able to restore that, why?
I needed to complete a wipe device last night which i have done, didnt bother playing with the phone after, gone to make a call this morning to find out that it has deleted all my numbers from both my directory and my sim card directory. should this of happened?
I am a BES user and recently my account had to be recreated. I had taken a back up of the device from desktop manager. However after restore I find that all the BBM contacts, Bookmarks and Auto-text was not restored.I had spent a lot of time in making all the Auto text relevant to me. Doesn't the back-up process back up all these data?
If my iTunes account was used by another device; how do I change it back to recognize my device? I am getting a message to restore or set up as a NEW device. I would prefer not to do this because I will lose some data/apps/contacts/texts/reminders...etc
I have got Curve 9300 with OS v5.0.0.977. I am unable to receive anything using Bluetooth from the paired device but sending anything to other device is OK.
I've had my AT&T Blackberry Bold 9700 since November of 2009 and am just experiencing this problem. My device is set so the back light goes off after 20 seconds. Whenever I put it down or lock it, the back light goes off just as it should. But, within 5-10 minutes, it turns back on without provocation and won't shut off again until I unlock and re-lock the phone.
As you can imagine, this is killing my battery life. I've tried playing with the settings, but nothing seems to do the trick. I've rebooted several times and removed the battery twice, but neither has worked. Anyone encounter this issue and/or have any suggestions on how to fix it?
I shipped my IP4 back to apple.com (unopened...wife wants to wait for white) for a refund. Knuckleheads at AT&T can't give me a straight answer on how to revert her status to upgrade eligible.Anyone already go through this and can share their experience?
Is it possible to restore bbm contact back up from my previous device? I have switched to Torch 9810 from Bold 2. I have backed up all bbm contacts wirelessly via an email account. The problem is my Torch 9810 crashed (JVM error 545) which had forced me to wipe out the device and load new OS before I back up my bbm contact wirelessly on the new device. I have also backed up to my pc via Blackberry Desktop Software and Blacberry Protect but when I restore it didn't restore BBM contacts only phonebook contact.I thought I can restore using my email on this Torch but no.its also seems to be linked to my PIN number. Thus, when i try to restore using my email it said "no account linked to this email" :-(
I updated my blackberry software overnight on my device (curve 9330) and when I woke up in the morning there was a constant white screen with a little diagram and 561 error message underneath. I followed the instructions to update the device software on my desktop and had the latest version (6.1.0.35).The device does not connect to the PC at all and a battery reset on the device did not help.It is frozen with the white 561 error message screen.
I have a Sprint S5 running stock Lollipop. I have moved any apps that can be to the SD card. Anytime those apps are updated, they move back to the device storage. I got this phone shortly before Sprint pushed the Lollipop update so I cannot say for sure if I was having this issue prior to Lollipop.
Can't remember back up PIN. Battery removal didn't resolve. Went to android device manager and changed the password, but the old back up PIN question pops up and I can't get into my phone.
I waited to purchase a tablet for 2 years, waiting for what I felt would be the perfect tablet. I researched for those 2 years and finally the XY Board came out! I was thrilled. I told my husband and he purchased it for me [10.1] 32gb for Christmas- through Verizon. I was a little upset that ICS was not on it yet but "it was coming soon". It took me a little time to figure out how to set it up exactly how I liked it but it was worth it. Then I started to notice a few issues: It was very difficult to turn on and off - that button in the back is a pain - but it is what it is It "froze" at first just once in a while but as time went on almost 3-6 times a week. It had a hard time staying connected to my INTERNET connection, now considering I have other computers, TV's that use the same Comcast INTERNET I assume my router and wifi are OK since they do not have issues. I could never get the MOTOPRINT to work, one of the reasons I wanted this tablet, so I just purchased a new printer that should work better with it, we'll see. But right now I cannot because I was having some problems charging. Sometimes I would get a message saying that I needed to use the cord that came with the tablet or it would charge slower [only plug I had was the one that came with it so I had no idea what it was talking about]. Finally it stopped charging so now I cannot turn it on at all
So I went to Verizon and I was told they would send a board for me to use to and I was to use that box to send back my tablet,it would be about 5 business days till I got the box. It was a holiday and I figured it would be longer. To shorten this part-I was given wrong info. they do not give replacement tablets when they are fixing them so I am out my tablet while it is being fixed, What I'm worried about is the fact that that I have pictures on that tablet that I have not moved over, Apps that I have not backed up, music I downloaded from other than Google and Amazon, which I purchased - So there is a good chance I will lose everything. I am not a happy camper. I looked up every problem and did all the fixes as they were available - but I can't fix this.
I purchased my N97 about a year ago and I absolutely adore it. I haven't run into any problems until last week. When I turn on my phone, enter the unlock code and use it to do whatever I need to do, it works fine. However, if I lock the phone or let the backlight shut off, it won't turn back on and neither do the lights on the number keys. Here is the funny part: If I press the power key (as if I were to change my profile) the backlight turns on, allowing me to see the screen, but the number keys don't light up! Does anyone know what I can do?
I'm not very tech savvy (so please don't laugh if my solutions are completely wrong), but here are some of the things I have done to try and rectify the problem: - Let the battery drain completely and charged it in the hopes that it would rectify itself like it has in the past with other issues - Took out the battery, SIM card and memory card just to make sure everything was inserted properly - Restored the phone to factory settings
I updated my phone a few days ago. Backed up first, of course. But the backup and restore app isn't supported by the new system. Is there a way to get back what I'd restored?
