Sep 29, 2012I have around 6 blackberry back ups for my bold and curve blackberry phones, on the pc i click on it but it doesnt display the content. I just wanted to find out the downloads such as files i had on my phone. My only concern is that i dont want to restore the update on my mobile. I just want to be able to click it and it display the content on the computer without connecting my BB to the PC. Does anyone know of a way of being able to acheive this without destroying my back ups?

Jan 4, 2012My phone was charging the other night during a power failure and in the morning my contacts and BB contacts were gone. These contacts aren't lost as it's my gmail contact list - but I can't get them back on my phone. I've clicked all the buttons to sync, but no luck. I can't manually add a contact and see it either. In the contacts options, it says that I have 288 contacts associated with my gmail account, and when I manually add one, it goes up by another number. But - I can't see them anywhere. Also, I removed the email account and set it up again making sure to click the sync box, took out the battery and SIM card and put it back, and still nothing.

Sep 14, 2012I lost my BB yesterday. I need to know is there any way I can retrieve my contacts and my messages from BB service. I recall having subscribed to this auto saving. It would be a great help if someone can help me and guide me on this. For obvious reasons I have deactivated my old SIM and got a new one fixed from the service provider. However those jokers VODOFONE staff have no clue how to retrieve my contact details from BB service.

Jun 24, 2010security wipe (not done on purpose ) deleted all my contacts but nothing else . Is there any way by any means to get them back ? No sink backup was mad prior to this and just now have a computer to use to do this or anything else . the security wipe had something to do with spelling blackberry and entering a password . The reason was to delete a certificate but once I enetered the password the screen went white ----a progress bar appeared and when it was done and rebooted all my contacts were gone and the cert was still there.

BB Curve 8520/8530 :: Replacement - Back Up The Tab For Contacts Is Grayed Out And Click
Jul 12, 2010I am getting a replacement 8530 for my current 8530 because my trackpad is off centered and recently I am now able to move it around. I called verizon explained everything and their answer "software problem, we're sending you a new one under your warranty" Whatever, its physical not software, but they are sending me out a replacement anyways so I dont care.
However, how do I put stuff on the new one? I use blackberry desktop manager, and click "Backup" and it backs up. When I connect the new one do I just click "Restore"? Also when I back up, the tab for contacts is grayed out and I CANNOT click it. So I wont be able to restore that, why?

Mar 29, 2010Each time my phone has to restart or reboot, my email icon which is AOL(green envelope w/ a blue AOL/logo @ bottom of envelope) disappears and the standard icon appears in home screen. Before to get it back, i go to email setup and delete it then add it back, then AOL icon returns. Now doing it the same way, my green AOL icon does not return anymore! just the standard one, can anybody help on how to get it back? Please!!Thanks!!
