BB Bold :: Can Retrieve Emails From Water Damaged Cell
Mar 29, 2012I dropped my bold in the ocean today, it was washed around by the waves a bit lol. My sim and mem card are working fine in a bb pearl. The bold is drying out in a tub of rice. I desperately need to access the emails on my bold that I had sent and received and we're in my inbox. I was hoping they would appear when setting up my pearl but only new emails have arrived. Can anyone help me? The documents I need are to and from my lawyer and as much as I know how stupid I am not to have them backed up, I have a lot riding on their content.

May 9, 2012I can't see add or see any of my contacts. I know they are there because the correct name shows up when I manually dial the number. Jan 4, 2012My phone was charging the other night during a power failure and in the morning my contacts and BB contacts were gone. These contacts aren't lost as it's my gmail contact list - but I can't get them back on my phone. I've clicked all the buttons to sync, but no luck. I can't manually add a contact and see it either. In the contacts options, it says that I have 288 contacts associated with my gmail account, and when I manually add one, it goes up by another number. But - I can't see them anywhere. Also, I removed the email account and set it up again making sure to click the sync box, took out the battery and SIM card and put it back, and still nothing.

Jun 28, 2010I am trying to recover the contact details from my son's 6700 classic, whilst being unable to see anything on the phone screen. I would like to connect the phone to Nokia PC suite and select the backup option to copy all the contact details to my PC. Unfortunately he has damaged the screen and nothing at all is showing.
What I would like to know therefore is exactly which buttons need to be pressed on the phone after the USB connector has been inserted to ensure that PC suite is selected; because at present although the phone is recognised by my PC, PC suite is reporting that a phone is not connected. I have successfully copied all Images etc from the phone (memory card?) but the only way I know to get at the contact data is via PC suite, unless of course anyone knows differently.
History: Always Nokia since 1994 including Nokia 2140, 7110e, 6150, 6210, 6310i, 6230i

Jul 14, 2010I am new to this whole Blackberry thing, so please... take it easy on me.Anyway, whenever I add a new contact from a phone call or whatever it, by default, goes under as their "Work" number. Even when I transferred numbers from my Envy to my Blackberry a lot of the contacts went under "Work" rather than "Mobil".How can I change it so that by default it comes up under mobile (since that's the majority of numbers I add to my contacts)?Also, is there a way to easily switch the classification of a number? Lately I've been just going into the contact and retyping it, but doing that for all of my contacts will be a pain.

Apr 15, 2012I have a Blackblerry Curve 8520.I downloaded some apps that linked with my contacts..Now, yesterday i met someone.. and when i tried to save her nummer via messages > add to contacts.Nothin happend.. i tried to call her, press greenphone, blackberry button, add to contacts and it just freez.I hold the bb button for a time so i can switch trough apps, at a time it gives me an error.somthing with 'Rim_App_contacts' error determinated. i think i know what this means but, i don't want to lose all my contacts so.
