Apr 11, 2012i cant save anyone's phone number i tried rebooting multiple times just same error message i also did a security wipe it didn't help?

Apr 13, 2010BB Newbie here, just got the Curve 8530 yesterday.My question (sorry if its already been answered in a previous thread, I can't find one):
How do I make it save user names and passwords for logging in to secure web sites? We upgraded to the BB so that we could accept new orders on the fly, but the log in page for our client does not save the user name and password, and we have to type it in each time; it can mean the difference between getting the order or losing it to another vender.

Nov 1, 2012I have my partners old 8900 curve and have been using it fine for a year, except that his old contacts were saved on the phone and mine on the SIM. I decided to delete his old contacts so I could copy mine over, I found on the internet that you can use RSET in the contact menu to delete all contacts at once. It worked perfectly but now the Blackberry will not save any new contacts, at all, ever!
It won't copy them from the SIM and it won't even save a contact when entered manually. I don't use it for anything other than phone calls and emails, so it has no apps that I know of.Also I have no software on my laptop to back it up or update it etc, I really only use it to read emails and receive phone calls when i'm not in the office.
BB Curve :: Save Number To Contacts From SMS?
Jan 15, 2012There is no option to save a number to contacts from an SMS message.
There is no way to select the number at the top. There is no option in the menu when viewing a message or highlighting one in the list. Infact no-where on the phone is a save to contacts option for anything. Why? This kind of feature was available in the 80s on a piece of rock.
Note - The phone is running the latest software it can. Also I am aware that i can click the blackberry button to bring up the menu, select show recipients and tediously highlight then number, copy, then exit out and open up the contacts app, create or edit a contact and paste the number in. This is 100% UNACCEPTABLE from a 'smart phone', i may as well use pen paper and pidgeons.
BB Curve :: Unbale To Save Contacts
Apr 13, 2012i have an 8520 Curve and have just noticed i can't save new contacts to my phone.
I've tried adding through my address book and my phone just hangs. I've tried adding a phone number via my call registerr and it just bounces back to the original screen and i've tried adding it through the menu in my text messages and still it won't load.

Apr 9, 2010I have Blackberry 8520. earlier I was using Nokia E 90.I transferred my contacts from Nokia to CSV file and got them coverted to .ipd file using Amber vCard onverter. I restored the .ipd file into my Black berry using Desktop Manager.The software shows 784 contacts and that is same as it was in my E 90.
However when I select contacts in my Blackberry I dont see them. However Desktop manager shows 784 contacts.Please tell how do I see these contacts in my Black berry.

Jul 17, 2011I have a Curve 8520, and have recently developed a problem. When I open contacts to search for an address it freezes. I can escape by hitting menu and switching application to the home page again. Eventually I get an error message telling me I have an "uncaught exception" it tells me that the app is not responding and the process has been terminated.When it first happened I called Orange my provider and they sent me a new handset, I retained the battery and reloaded and then funnily enough new phone started same issue. It is using software v 5.0 so I followed advice on blackberry and tried to reload software but that has not worked?
