IPhone :: Returning Device - How To Get Upgrade Eligilbility Back?
Jul 13, 2010
I shipped my IP4 back to apple.com (unopened...wife wants to wait for white) for a refund. Knuckleheads at AT&T can't give me a straight answer on how to revert her status to upgrade eligible.Anyone already go through this and can share their experience?
I've got to return my phone so I need to return it back to stock, I made a backup when I first rooted my phone and installed the custom recovery, if I flash this backup will it return my phone to stock and get rid of the warning while in bootloader ?
I have been modifying my device by installing custom roms rooting etc. I know my warranty is void but my device won't even get recognized in smart manager when entering IMEI. when booted up to odin mode i don't see an option anymore to see "show Barcode". My device is still functional but I want to try to go back to stock official everything. Is there a way to fix this issue by installing or flashing anything? I think its because of the installation of xposed.
I bought my iPhone at the ATT store on June 29th.. Since then I got a replacement. Will I be able to return my iPhone at the Apple store despite buying it at the ATT store and it being a replacement iPhone? WIll my two year contract be canceled as well?
Sadly, I am returning my iPhone 4. Do you guys know the best way to erase all your data but still keep your back-up?If you restore a phone does it overwrite your back-up?What about just putting the password in wrong 10 times? Is that a good way to remove sensitive data?
I bought a black one today and it is going back to the store tomorrow. It's not snug enough for my liking.Since it doesn't happen without a pic, here you go.URL... The pieces of paper are there in place of me flexing the case with my hands. I had difficulty trying to take an autoshot of the looseness of the case while holding the phone.
Okay so I have until the 24th to return my new phone. And I'm wondering if I do decide to return it and go back to my 3GS, will I get my upgrade back? Because ideally I would like to get the white one when they finally release it. Does anyone know if this is possible?!
I was wondering if you could help, i've been searching the techincal support section and the forums and could someone point me in the right patch to upgrade blackberry handsets via BES v5. I can find the software to upgrade via desktop manager but i want to deploy this through our BES 5.0.1.also I have BES 4.16 which i am migrating the users onto the new BES via the transporter tool, but i've found our IT Policy creates issues with device version 4.3 and needs to be reactivated when migration is complete. So i would also like to upgrade the devices on the old BES before migrated them across. So is there a way of upgrading a device version from BES 4.1.6 if so could you also provide instructions? Is there any issues when upgrading device versions? would i need to resend the service book? it policy? re-activation?
I've been using my MacBook Pros, iPads, and iPhones for years with no WiFi issues. Now suddenly, every time I return home with my iPhone, my WiFi connection is lost on ALL of my devices — even the MacBook Pro and iPad, which both remain at home.
So every time I return home, I have to shut everything off, unplug my Airport Express, unplug my modem, plug them both back in, and restart my three devices.
I have just upgraded the firmware and have lost everything that was on my phone. I have tried to restore from back up but keeps coming up with "itunes could not restore the iphone "#######" because the back up session failed.
The back up was done just couple minutes before i upgraded and i have also tried previous back ups but none of them work.
Is there going to be a way to get the back up working?
If my iTunes account was used by another device; how do I change it back to recognize my device? I am getting a message to restore or set up as a NEW device. I would prefer not to do this because I will lose some data/apps/contacts/texts/reminders...etc
Recently I have found a problem with my phone regarding the internet history. Whenever I delete my internet history via settings>privacy>delete personal files (might be different because mine is in dutch). The history will be removed untill i close down internet and start it up again. The internet sites i have visited will be back again when I typ something in the adress bar.
I made sure I put off syncronizing via any account, even without wifi or any other internet network it still comes back. This means there is some kind internet history thing stored on my phone which keeps putting it all back. How to delete it without automatically recovering when I restart my internet browser?
Love my Z2 apart from a couple of annoying things. When I exit a contact it always returns to the beginning. For example if i try ringing 'tony mobile' with no answer so think ill call on his mobile when press back i have to scroll though to tony mobile as it always returns to 'A'. its the same with messages
Just got my wife a BB Bold 9780. Current software version is as delivered from the Bell retailer (ver. 6.0, bundle 863 I believe).
Anyway, when you open the browser, it allows you to visit a website. However, as soon as you click a link, it begins to open the website, but then about 1/2 way through loading the page, the browser jumps back to the 'bookmarks' home screen. When you press the back button, it just exits the browser. Tried with multiple websites, and the behavior is always the same.
I've tried the usual fixes - battery pull, clearing the browser cache and history, etc., but the problem won't go away.
I'm really throwing an SOS to you all but right now I need help.I just returned from a seven month deployment and was not able to use my new Bold 2 for the duration of my outing.I have forgotten my answer to the question on my security question and unable to reset my password.Who do I need to contact to get a general reset for my account?
Sometime, when I push the power button to return from standby, the screen turns black (lighted but displaying nothing, the buttons lighten as well but are inactive). That phenomenon seems to happen randomly. Then I have to push the power button again to turn the phone in standby mode again, and push the button again, after what the phone displays the unlock screen.i never encountered that problem with custom roms, until I re-installed the official stock rom which I downloaded from htc website. Some information about my mobile:

I tried to upgrade the iphone to ios 5.1.1 when the download was complete, phone went to recovery mode and the upgrade process failed, the phone never came back to normal mode.
I have upgraded the software - having backed up my phone using the backup and restore facility. The old backup software was removed so i downloaded a new one from sony website. However this downloads but will not install - says 'Application not installed' with a tick by it ! and so I can;t restore my phone information. HELP !!!
When you are eligible for an upgrade from your current 83xx what device will you most likely get next and why? Personally, the touch-screen's have my interest because of the screen real estate but I'm not sure I want to get away from the qwerty keyboard.
I am a noob so please forgive me ..i had a booting error yesterday where the red light stuck on with a black screen and i had to pull the battery (luckily for me it revived) sadly after it loaded i realized i lost all my contacts however this happened when my brother soft reset it when it was connected via usb to the pc so i guess some current interference buged the loading process. Then today i soft reset my bold i got a white screen with app loader i believe 523 error reset or something, i cant quite remember but i think thats it however i hit either the end key or the enter key (sorry to so vague guys i got scared) ....after i pressed those buttons it began the reboot cycle ...loaded up and has been fine ever since..just wondering if you think i should upgrade my Os or just leave it i am on 4.6.0.162...
after i downgrade to 4.6,i can't upgrade back to 5.0 i've tried to download a 5.0 from blackberry.com or through applicant loader to upgrade ,but still can not upgrade to 5.0
I have blackberry curve 8520. OS ver 4.6.something.I want to know why the OS 5 upgrade is only for BIS subscribers and not common blackberry users?I mean we also paid the price for the phone and we also want most out of the bb. If blackberry considers the BIS subscribers the only customers then why sell the phones to others as well.
If blackberry want to decrease the number of bb admirers and users, then its a good step to limit the OS upgrade to only BIS users, otherwise whats the point of limiting the update to only BIS?Dont they want the blackberries to look and work cool, at least compared to other cellphone giants.
