A service connection is unavailable."I am very much sure that my username and password is correct, every time I got the same message.And even I downloaded the Gmail app from [URL] the version is 2.0.6, but it is also not working.It starts and stuck on the loading screen. My wifi connection working fine.

I then tried to do this via the web, but after going through all the steps, including inputting my IMEI and PIN numbers it then said that the device wasn't registered on BT. My existing email accounts were initially copied from a previos Blackberry (Bold 9000), but when I attempt to add an additional one, the only option I get is "Create a new email address' (the Blackberry one).
My service provider confirms to me that this is not due to them.The problem was there with OS7.0 and remains with 7.1.
I am using the blackberry bold 9700,i updated my software and it wiped out my phone,on re-installing all the software's,whatsapp,facebook etc works fine but for some reason my BBM wouldnt work at all,i tried activating my e-mail account(Enterprise Activation) but i keep getting this "Activation request failed. A service connection is unavailable".
View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to setup email connection. On this 9360 I do not have any Connection Assistant so I use "setup" mode and "mail accounts" options. Usually (as on my previous Curve 8520) I used to have two options when entering there :
- Use my own email address (personal address) or create a new one
- Use my Enterprise email address
But when I launch Email setup on my curve 9360, I have only the Enterprise option so that I Cannot setup email! My 9360 runs under OS 7.
where or how do I get an Enterprise Activation Password from Blackberry Enterprise Server to set up my email?

When I try and set up a new email address I get a "Update Failed" error message. The email address is valid and works fine on my computer. The same email address also worked fine on another Blackberry device previously.

i used to get all my hotmail emails on my phone until one day i tried to login to my hotmail on my pc and it kept saying wrong password until i got logged off. i eventually got the problem resolved and my hotmail account restored but i still havent been able to setup my hotmail email on my blackberry curve since then. i can get to it through the web browser but cant set it up automatically because it says update failed everytime i try to set it up. I tried setting it up on a friend's blackberry and it worked just fine. resolve the problem because its my primary email address and i need to be alerted as soon as my emails come in.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI changed the password on my email account online and when I went to change the password on BB Storm2 - I kept getting error. So I deleted the account and restarted the process using BB Email setup wizard. Now I keep getting "update failed" and doesn't go far...tried it several times.

We've been using 8900 handsets in the UK, over Vodafone for some time, and tyey work great... ...but now we have a new user who's bought a 9700, again over Vodafone, but this time in Germany. When he attempts to use enterprise activation he (eventually) receives "enterprise server has not responded to your activation request"
We've checked that his data plan is compatible with BES. So - how do we get this working? Do I need to upgrade to BES Express 5.0?
I bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was wondering how to resolve an issue I've been having with my Bold 9700. I'm placing it in this forum since it doesn't appear to be a model specific issue. When a geolocation request is made (BB Maps, GPS settings in options, etc) the device tries to use aGPS first. When it does I get messages in the device log saying it tried various transports (BIS,WAP,WIFI,TCP) and they all failed. It seems to be failing due to a dns issue. I've tried using it on my home wifi to rule out blocking of the DNS by my carrier (AT&T) and it still has the same issue. The device is on BESX with an IT Policy that is set to allow most everything and BIS.
The specific log entries are:
Geolocation START
Geolocation - Transport failed: BIS
Geolocation - Transport failed: MDS
Geolocation - Transport failed: WLAN
Geolocation - Insufficient Coverage
Then it cycles through a few times:
net.rim.udp open
net.rim.dns DnsQ 2
net.rim.dns DnsQ 2
net.rim.dns - RefQ (which I think means the query was refused)
net.rim.tunnel - Clos-wap.cingular
Until it gets to:

I've taken out some log entries that didn't seem to be significant (tunnel opening, etc). GPS works fine after this fails but I'd like to be able to get a fix when indoors or in low coverage which doesn't seem to happen unless I use a 3rd part app that has it's own aGPS data.

View 2 Replies View RelatedA friend gave me his nexus 5 because it have a problem, one day the phone was stuck on boot screen (the flying balls of lollipop) and to add difficulty (can't be easy right?) windows doesn't recognize the phone but it recognize my nexus 5 with the same cable on the same usb port....
I get a "Device Descriptor Request Failed"(the usb port on the nexus seems to be ok) but my nexus get none ... Is it a hardware issue ? I heard that there is issues with nexus 5's motherboard...
I can enter the fastboot and recovery but after a wipe, still stuck..... Not rooted and booloader locked....
I do know that 9360 requires a bb plan + 3g plan to be able to surf the net and stuffs. As of now, I do not have any problems with those but I just can't find the option to set up my internet email. Whenever i go to the set up email option, it automatically shows me an enterprise email activation.
