I know you can use the mute button to go into standby. When you press mute again it turns standby off. Instead of starting at the home screen, my Curve opens the media folder when coming out of standby. How do I control what is the default screen when coming out of standby?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the Curve 8520 and I use the In The Know theme with the bottom sliding dock. I uninstalled Facebook from my BB but for some reason only calendar appointments that have the "sent with Facebook" at the top show up on my theme's calendar home area.
I want facebook completely GONE from my black berry but there's no calendar option that lets me get rid of the "Facebook calendar" or at least change it so when I make a new appointment it defaults to starting with my email instead of stupid facebook.
I've had my blackberry for about 2 months, and I've been using it as my main music player with no problems until this past week. Suddenly, every time a new song starts, the music becomes really loud, and I have to turn it down for every song. I've been trying to find some way to reset the default volume for music, but all I've found is enhanced audio, which is not on. Any ideas about what to do?

View 11 Replies View RelatedWhen my calendar reminder pops up it gives me the option to end the reminder or snooze for a preiod of 5 mins. This is far too short so I went to Calendar, Options, General Options and under Actions set the Default Reminder to 15 min and saved the change.When a reminder pops up the snooze time is still 5 minutes despite the change I made. Very annoying!What can be done to set the reminder time to anything other than 5 mins ? Have I changed the wrong field, or is this a bug?

View 7 Replies View RelatedYesterday, my Incredible started behaving strangely- First- when i was driving to an appointment, it turned itself off and reset itself. When it rebooted, all my settings (Home wallpaper, widgets, shortcuts) were gone. My contact shortcut page was OK, but other setting wiped.
Today, i am deleting emails from my POP3 account, and after I delete many emails, i return to my home screen. Then i can return to my email account and the same deleted emails are back! I powered the phone off, and powered it on, now my wallpaper is back to default.
Remove from the top of my screen the legend EN. I know its the language im typing in, but i dont want that to show.

It's appears to be a golden globe (almost like that of the web browser icon - which was what i though it was related to) with a number 1 next to it just as if it was a message or social network notification. It used to be that I could see how I was connected with either the wifi symbol or the gprs symbol and I could also see the connection symbol (white square with 2 green squares). Im guessing that it could be a browser setting that needs changing but I cant find it.

I had a problem with my e-mails I stopped receiving messages on Friday and since talking to the service centre I now have 2 icons on my main screen. The new one has a globe at the bottom and my email address at the top when I scroll over it. All very nice but totally unnecessary.
Since this icon has appeared all my emails on my main computer are being marked as read. They were not before Friday Any ideas??
One of our employees just got a new AT&T BB 8520. By default, it goes to the "short home screen" where it only shows one row of icons instead of the full menu screen. Is there some way to disable this so it will show the full home screen by default and not require you to press the menu button to see it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the Blackberry Desktop Manager to be able to transfer my pictures from my PC which I did have success in doing. I've resetted my phone a couple of times because the home screen display is on top of my wallpaper or a picture that I am using as wallpaper. I've tried different ways to remove or change the appearance of the screen but nothing works, have of my picture is hiding behind a darker screen that I believe is the default screen for my blackberry. I would like removing the dark screen from my blackberry and only display the picture that I choose.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using a MA 1.6.13 N8. Brightness it at half and screen timeout is set to 30s. Workout screen timeout is off.
Just to make sure we're on the same page: the MA screen has three modes:
- Full on (color and bright) - probably eats up battery quick - out of the 30s configured, the screen remains on this mode for about 25s.
- Dimmed (B&W no backlight) - compromise on battery spend - the last 5s of the 30s are in this mode.
- Standby mode (screen off) - least battery comsumption - after the configured 30s timeout, you can't see anything.
So here is the question: Is this Dimmed screen mode available? I'd like to set this mode on always.
On my iphone4s, music control do not show up on the music screen and the screen cannot be rotated.

And orange customer services are near enough useless and have told me to ask here about this problem.Also sometimes the cursor moves and no text is written while typing.I have un-installed the application and re-installed it with no help and performed about 10 hand held wipes.Please can someone give me the solution to this problem before I take a hammer to this phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry curve the 8500 series. And I use it for just about everything. The only problem I have is that I cant view my bank account on the browser. I am can get to the loggin screen and after I put my info in and press ok it goes to a white screen and says at the top "dual authentication".
The phone is not frozen it just wont load up my bank account. I know my bank account works on mobile devices because before I got my bb I had a phone that it worked on and my boyfriends phone lets me do it too. I know a bb can do just about everything so I am guessing there is a setting I have to change.
My new Nokia 6350 indicates "Camera on Standby" and I cannot get off it standby. I have
1. taken out the battery and
2. reset the phone.
I purchased this phone today, and one annoyance is the icon size on the standby screen. I've had a good look and I can't find anywhere to set them to be smaller? Any ideas?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Nokia 5130 from a TMobile store, and since I have started using it, I noticed that whenever I activate keyguard and wait for a little bit, the phone screen turns blank and would not show anything at all (I am used to S40 and S60 phones showing a bar with the time and date, the number of unread messages and missed calls showing everytime they are on standby). However, I also noticed that whenever I unlock the keypad and the backlight shows back up, the bar is actually there before it fades away and returns back to the home screen. Could it be that the screen is actually turning itself off whenever it's on keyguard standby?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSometime, when I push the power button to return from standby, the screen turns black (lighted but displaying nothing, the buttons lighten as well but are inactive).That phenomenon seems to happen randomly. Then I have to push the power button again to turn the phone in standby mode again, and push the button again, after what the phone displays the unlock screen.i never encountered that problem with custom roms, until I re-installed the official stock rom which I downloaded from htc website.Some information about my mobile:
