I have the bla blackberry curve 8350i and on blackberry's website it Indicates upon updating to version 5 features would include chat like messages as in the way bbm chats look. But I can't not figure out how to do it on my phone
I have a Nextel Blackberry 8350i that is set up on the Boost network and Im trying to set up a blackberry email account so that I can forward my work emails to my blackberry. When I try to set it up using the Nextel or Sprint link on the blackberry website, it tells me that: Your BlackBerry® Internet Service Account is suspended or deactivated. Please contact your wireless service provider at 1-800-639-6111. When I call that number, they tell me they cant help me because im on the boost network. When I call boost they tell me they cant help me because I have a NEXTEL blackberry...Can someone please help me get this email thing set up?
I know there are other threads like this, but after a few hours of searching I cannot find a solution for my problem, so I am left with creating a new thred (sorry). I have a Nextel 8350i on boost. This morning, I reinstalled the combined3 service books, and now no internet, or app that accesses internet will work. I get the unable to connect message when I try to connect using my data plan and when I try to connect on wifi as well. I am able to place and receive calls, i can use direct connect, and i can send and receive texts as well, its just the internet is not working with data or wifi. My current OS is v4.6.1.313 any suggetions?
i have an 8350i and so does my friend. MOST of my icons are white and work fine. his are colored and also work fine. how can i get my icons to be colored?
I had an 8 month old phone that was actingup , going to speaker phone with no buttons being pushed , couldnt answer incoming calls, couldnt see who was calling . Yesterday i had it swapped out for a new refurbished unit and it is doing the same thing today . Has anyone heard of or experienced any of these problems
Now that Boost will be legitimately offering a BB, the 8330, is it worth getting rid of the 8350i? I NEVER use DC, and is gaining the 3g speeds worth losing wifi over? Are there any other details I left out that would be a dividing factor?
I've taken lots of photos with my BB over the years and have deleted a lot over that period to. I noticed today that when I looked in my pictures, a lot of the ones I've 'deleted' actually showed up in the folder - or at least the thumbnail did. When I tried to open it properly I got the message 'unable to display file'. Is there any way I can get these pics back? Clearly they're in the phones system somewhere. I've done the media - explore - media card - pictures - show hidden etc but it still doesn't let me access them fully.
When I've typed out my message and sent it a message comes up saying "Requested facility not implemented" I have tried to reboot the phone but that hasn't solved the issue.
im abit new to blackberrys, and phone was doing well, until this afternoon, i can-not get into my emails or text messages, i can click on the icon for both but then its like its froze on me, and i have to press the red power/end call button to get of the icon!! not sure if ive done something but been trying all afternoon and no luck.
I've got the Bold 9000, and I'm using OS 5.0 (5.0.0.464).My sister went in my phone and deleted ALL my text messages, I've checked SMS Inbox and SMS Outbox, and all the folders, and I didn't have the option selected to save SMS to Sim Card, so no SMS's there. Is there any way at all to retrieve my deleted text conversations? Any hidden folders or logs or anything in the phone's software files to retrieve the texts?
Was looking for a bit for advice please as I have come to a standstill with my Curve 8520.It was working fine for the past week there and in the last two days I have been unable to make or receive calls or texts. My SIM works in other phones, just not my Blackberry.
I recently went abroad and was unable to make calls or receive texts, although I was able to use BB messenger, Facebook and twitter. I contacted my carrier (vodafone) who told me my sim card was out of date and I need a new one. When I returned home I had a new sim card waiting for me, when I put this in my phone and activated it all was fine for about twho hours, then I lost all the email settings. I did not think this would be a big deal and set about setting them up again.
I finally managed to set up my hotmail (I need to use the vodafone BIS website), but no matter what I do I can not set up the other two emails. I have contacted vodafone who say this is my problem and i must have wrong password or settings (despite the fact these worked fine).
My question is, can I restore the email settings from a backup?
I recently lost my iPhone at a concert and unfortunately, it was never connected with iCloud, nor was it backed up to iTunes. I got a new iPhone and connected it to iTunes. I have my contacts (taken from my sister's iPhone) and voicemails, but nothing else. I would really like my old text messages and photos, but have no idea what to do in order to get them.
I was sent an email with a large attachment with it and now I'm unable to access my emails nor send texts?Whenever I try, I'm presented with this error message: -'Uncaught exception: java.long.array Indexoutofboundsexception' and an 'OK' button. When I click this, (in the vain hope all will be OK from there on in, it logs out of the app and I'm back to square one! Therefore rendering the phone useless! When I contacted Blackberry support, it states that it has no knowledge of 'Uncaught exception: java.long.array Indexoutofboundsexception' ?
I just bought a BB Curve 8350i off Ebay (yay me). I was starting to wonder what OS it's using? Is it using the same OS that the storm uses, or is it the old OS that looks like some thing that's way behind times?
Does the Blackberry Curve 8350i have SMS and MMS capabilties? I already ordered this phone from Sprint today. After ordering it i read a article that stated that it doesnt do sms or mms messages. Is this true?
My friend has been wanting to get an 8350i for a while now. Today he walked into RadioShack and BestBuy and both of these retail stores told him that the Nextel 8350i Blackberry had been discontinued. That they no longer carried them in their stores, but that that he could still find them at Sprint locations. They stated the reason as having too many issues. I'm thinking that the retail stores were getting too many returns and possibly decided to stop selling them ("discontinuing them"). I went to sprint website and they are still selling them.
1st of all when im on the phone and another call comes in, the speaker on my phone activates, and i cant cut it off until call ends , 2nd my voicemail is not functional, if i call my # its not my voicemail its some pre-recorded person saying that im unavail , any thoughts?
My phone was working and just quit. My wifes 8350i connects by USB fine, but mine does not. I did all the resets and a wipe of the phone. Nothing is working to get the USB to work. Is the phone junk? With out the USB I can not load any service books for boost.
Not too long ago my employer rolled out a two-tiered phone Nextel service for employees. Some get 8350i with a full BB data plan and some get Moto i456 with voice, PTT, MMS, and limited data (feels like GPRS). I am in the latter category. While I have absolutely no justifiable business need for a data plan I despise the crappy i465 with a passion that is difficult to describe.
I thought I would solve my problem by buying a 2nd-hand 8350i on my own dime and just popping the employer-provided SIM card in it. My hope was that I would retain what I need (voice, SMS, PTT) and be on my merry way. However, it appears that I do have voice and PTT but have lost ALL messaging capability, probably because the messaging the BB goes through their own servers and I do not have BB service. Is there any way around this dilemma? I do need both PTT and SMS, and the only two QWERTY devices with PTT capability are the 8350i and the i465.
I have a BB 8350i and the usb port is broken. I have already ordered a new one and have the phone tore apart. Now what? I am looking at this thing and I am stumped.Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm at my wits end!
I'm running .313 with a stock theme and no 3rd party apps. However, in the last 2 weeks, whenever I have a DC conversation longer than approximately 3 minutes without it ending, my BB locks up. The LED still flashes red, the DC info is still on the screen, but the only button that works is the power button to turn the phone off then back on. No amount of battery pulls fixes the problem.
Ok for the last week or so I've had my email notifyer showing I have one message I've done every thing I can think of but still won't disappear I've tried changing the them, battery pull, reconciling it,**** I even deleted the accounts from my bb and it still won't go away any ideas?
I am getting constant calls from a telemarketer, the phone number is 509.221.3648, the first time they called I told the telemarketer I wasn't interested in the sex pills they were selling, now they call me non stop(I went on google, sounds like this agency does the same thing to tons of people).I wish I could reject the caller, but I've been told the best option is to create a contact and make an exception so that whenever they call me the my phone doesn't ring.
