why when i select (NO) on automatic mode when manually selected network is not available the phone still automatic select the network for me why?

I perfer automatic and scenes mode which is easiler for me but I want it to be the best resolution is there any way because I couldn't find the setting?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just upgraded my Blackberry 9700 to firmware 5.0.0.593. I noticed the Auto Standby 2.4.1 utility that locks the keyboard after 30 seconds doesn't function anymore. An automatic keyboard lock is a very basic functionality for every phone and it would be good if it can be reinstated in a future firmware release. I'm now using Ultimate Lock but this can't be activated by the top-left lock button. I'm also a fan of the Bedside mode as it prevents the LED from blinking at night and switches profiles automatically when you put it in the charging pod. Is there a way to prevent the clock from being displayed while the phone is charging in bedside mode? I've already set "Dim Screen" to Yes but it still lights up the room.

When I select View Folder and select SMS Inbox I can see all my SMS messages up until current.Does anyone know how to fix the corrupt SMS/MMS icon (which is presumably pointing to a corrupt view of the SMS Inbox)?

from Belgium, traveling in the States - using the 5800 XpressMusic. I'm unable to get a right network (to make phonecalls and text). Doesn't matter if I use the Dual Mode, UMTS or GSM. When I manually search, it gives me 2 options; AT&T and T-Mobile. When I request either one of them it tells me that I don't have access. What am I doing wrong? Is there a setting I'm missing?Settings > Connectivity > Network > Network unavailable. I'd like to see it changed. GPS and wifi are working fine.

The operator (Swisscom) is providing the roaming to this country (UMTS voice), the 3G coverage is good and similar devices with the same contract are working fine. In the UMTS mode, no connection is established in the automatic mode.
When switched to the manual search mode, the device detects the local 3G operators ( DoCoMo, SoftBank). Forced to connect to the network, the device tries for a couple of minutes and returns the "no access" message. I have the impression of a reduced device sensitivity.
The SIM card has been replaced recently and the firmware is up to date. In the GSM mode the device works perfectly.
is it possible to set Automatic mods and Scenes mode to shoot in 4x3 so I do not have to crop all my photos?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9000 that keeps going to contacts no matter what icon I click on.I tried upgrading the OS and the phone worked fine for about an hour and then went straight back to only going to contacts. The same thing happens when I downgrade.I am unable to make calls or do anything from the contacts list. The phone is basically unusable.
I have tried the upgrade and battery pull and restore from back up.Does anyone have any suggestions of what this could be and how to fix it.

Since loading the latest software update 6.0 Bundle 1879 I have had problems logging onto the internet.Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't!For example if I click on the Vodafone Live symbol from the main page I get a message that states " The item you have selected cannot be displayed. Do you wish to save the item?"Does anyone know what this means as no one at the local Vodafone shop had a clue or could be bothered to assist?I have tried taking the battery out and re-booting it but with no success?
