I recently purchased a BlackBerry Bold 9780. When I go to the Application Administration I do see that BlackBerry Maps is installed. It also gives the version. But I am not able to see it anywhere in the Menu or even in the search.
Is this something to do with the service provider? I admit I do not yet have a data plan, but I believe it should not need a data plan as it has GPS in-built.
i have just bought a new device BOLD9830, and my problem is that i have no maps icon at my home screen, although at the option category and on the device icon i found location settings " set up GPS and location services" .
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I hit the menu to do anything and scroll down to something in it I can hit the menu button again and it does the same as selecting it with the trackpad.Is anybody having this happen to them too. I don't know if it is something new because I came from an old 8330. I used to hit menu and if I hit menu again the menu would go away.

Why not?Also, if I try to bring up traffic information, it tells me that I need to pay for a licence. I thought this was all supposed to be free now. I only downloaded the program last night, so I assume it's the latest version.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought a lifetime license to be able to download maps to my phone. Before I hade version 3.0 and there you could download maps for free. But after I upgraded to version 4.0 I bought the license. There is only a small problem now, there is no menu now to select "My Maps" and download. Tried to contact support but they don't seem to understand the problem. They keep telling my to navigate to the download menu.

I am on O2, I am connected to a BES server, other users on my BES can access Maps but I cannot. I know the GPS works as it locates me but the data downloaded always shows 0.0kb and all I have is them annoying diagonal lines.

It is not listed in the "All Apps" list and when on the home screen, pressing the menu button then "Settings" does absolutely nothing. I've factory reset the phone, twice externally.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSome of the apps I've downloaded onto my new Bold 9930 with OS7 cannot be moved because the menu that allows me to move the app is missing. When I highlight the app in the"All" view and click on the BlackBerry button, no menu appears. It's as if the key is dead and totally non-responsive. This only happens to some of the apps I've downloaded and it doesn't matter the source. Some were from Appworld and some were downloaded from other sources. With the other apps, a menu with "Switch Application" at the top appears when I press the BlackBerry button. The "problem" apps are working ok in every other way and I've tried removing them and re-downloading them, but that did not solve the problem.
