When i turn my bold on, a white screen comes on and little black blinking writing says to reload software. i have just installed a new screen so i know this means the screen works. how do i go about reloading software to make my bold work?
My Desktop Manager is v4.7 (for some reason I can download 5.0 but it won't install), my compuer is a Compaq Presario running Windows XP (home) SP2. I was updating my Blackberry Bold when the computer locked up.....at least Desktop Manager did--had a long period of inactivity. I closed the program with Task Manager and since then, my Bold has had the white screen with the "reload software 507" error message. I am using a USB cable in good condition. I removed my mini SD card from the slot to preserve my music files & photos (assuming they're not wiped).
I've followed the instructions on BB support and the BB owners lounge and nothing seems to work. BB Desktop Manager doesn't seem to recognize my BB Bold. ("Device Connected (PIN): None"). Checking the Windows device manager, it recognizes and identifies the BlackBerry Smart phone (properties indicates a disc size of O mb, all used space). Windows indicates I have the most recent USB driver installed. I've run the desktop manager several times, each times it asks for my password. (It finds the PIN and asks for the password). I don't recall specifiying a password but whatever I enter (several blind guesses) seems to satisfy the desktop manager--it will proceed with the attempt to load the software but eventually it fails to connect to the device.
It was my understanding that a 507 error code meant that the OS has been stripped from the device -- so it there a password?
I know various people are going to direct me to previous threads and topics about this, but i can assure you that ive checked and scoured the internet to no avail. To cut a long story short, I plugged my Curve into the computer, it asked me for a device password, i didnt know what it was, i tried various things, and due to my stupidty i entered the wrong password 10 times and didnt take none of the warnings seriously. My phone then wiped itself and left me wit the message Reload Software 513.After searching for a solution for this, i didn't really have much luck. Mainly because the desktop manager i was using (v4.7) was different to the one other people had used and even different to the one a KPB was showing me on the solution centre bit.I got off the phone to an 02 helpline who then tried to instruct me the same way this website had tried too. They think the problem is because i do not have the latest Desktop Manager V5 or something.
I accidentally dropped my Blackberry Curve 8520 on the floor and the battery fell out. Now when it tries to restart it gets about two thirds of the way through and then comes up with the message Reload Software 507. I have tried connecting it to my laptop but that doesn't work.
Got my first Blackberry, a 9700, last week, and installed the desktop software yesterday. It suggested I did an update, so I did. Everything appeared to go well, no problems, and the phone rebooted OK, and appeared to be functioning OK, and I've received emails and text messages, and made and received calls OK since then.....until this afternoon. Was sitting there, the phone in it's pouch, and I noticed the red light flashing. I thought I had received an email or something that I had missed, so, take the phone out of the pouch, and notice it's rebooting. And, yes, you guessed, it the message 'Reload Software 507' sitting prettily in the middle of the screen against a white background.
Any ideas as to what to do from here on? I guess I'm going to try and reload software, as suggested, from the desktop program. Any hints or tips would be appreciated at this point in time. I have tried pulling the battery, and waiting 30 seconds, but makes no difference.
Please any help right now would be fantastic. So initially I had the JVM error 102 which I cleared by using JL_comand and wiping the hand held which has now left me with the 507 error.
I have desktop manager and I just downloaded the newest operating software from the carrier I am using (However the phone is unlocked) . I did delete the vendor file from the application folder like it says to do on most posts...
My issue is right here.. after plugging in the device (which is not recognized) ...I proceed to the application loader. It tells me that "No software is available for your device" I am currently using desktop manager v5.0.1.
i try to download the new software my comp is telling me that i cant trust the site i'm trying to downloading from?? and i tried to plug my phn into my laptop and that wont even do anything either, its stuck on the white screen with that little msg saying Error 507..
Holy crap! I put my tmobile sim into my bold and my att sim into the new 8900 a few days ago when the 8900 was released. I have been using att for my bold all year long. So im sitting here tonight bored and decide to check for updates on my bold. I start loading the newest 4.6 whatever version onto my bold when I remember that I have the tmobile sim in it. I panic and hit cancel. Well, I swapped sims and now had the proper att sim in the bold and attempted to reload the software and the bold is only displaying the following message: RELOAD SOFTWARE 507:
Don't know what happened but my internet and BBM stopped working so I decided to do a soft reset (alt+Rshift+del). Upon loading, I get JVM Error 102, and will no longer boot into the OS. From reading some stuff here, it seems I now have to do a complete wipe to restore the BB.My questions is this, I haven't added any new software in a long time, why would this error just pop up out of no where? Should I get a replacement phone from T-Mobile or just try to reload the OS again?
So I was 5 minutes away from walking out the door to meet with the guy who is buying my Bold and I am met with an app error 523 message and a prompt to reset. Every time I reset I am met with this error.
Now I don't mind having to reload the OS since I am selling the thing but DM 4.7 won't recognize the bold. It recognizes it for a second and then the PIN info section goes to NONE once the app error appears. This is driving me nuts. The guy is getting impatient (buyer) and I can't figure it out. What do I do? How can I reinstall his OS and get the ball rolling...I'm at a complete loss.
Im having a weird issue here. everytime i get into the process of reloading the software my bold reboots. if you follow the steps of "How to get your Blackberry Un-Nuked" i can get to step 3 which is where the initialization of the reloading occurs. it will start loading JVM and Software. next it gets to Waiting for Device Initialization. this is where the weird part occurs. my phone will reboot, show the "507" screen and then reboot again. this is where it will start to initialize the reload and start to "load application" but for some stupid F-ing reason, the bold decides to reboot again creating a "fatal error message" on the loader. ive been stuck at this process for too long and decided to post here for help. i get this far my bold boots up then goes to the 507 screen at this point my bold reboots and instead of showing the 507 error it shows that the bold is connected to my computer it gets this far then out of nowhere my bold reboots shooting me to the "fatal error" message from the loader.
I am holding a blackeberry bold 9000 phone. The phone got an issue when my nephew played with it and currently it is showing the error as RELOAD SOFTWARE 513.I tried to find a solution and the reinstalling softwares should resolve the issue. My concern now is that I have got plenty of data ,notes, contacts on the phone memory which I do not want to lose.Is there a way to resolve the issue as my work is hampering because the phone has got stuck this moment.
I tried using the instructions with uninstalling all the desktop software etc, and then starting fresh but it won't even recognize my blackberry? What do I do? btw this happened upgrading from .234 to 2.37
On the screen of my blackberry bold 9900 says "Error 102" Reload software, and there's a highlighted "reset" on the screen. I tried to to that, but when it restart, it came back to the same screen again with Error 102.I tried to connect it to the desktop manager, but it says that "blackberry desktop software cannot communicate with the connected device".I also tried to take out the battery, sim card and media card, and back on again, still got the same message on screen "Error 102"Any advice how i can fix this? Before it went of i was deleting a few apps, because my memory was low, and it says that deleting will take action after restarting the bb, i pressed ok, bb was deleting the apps, but the clock icon keep on turning, like it was stuck. It stays like that for hours, so i decided to take out the battery and put it back in again, and that when i start getting this "error 102" message on my screen.
When landing in Germany and switching on the phone and trying to send an sms got this error message "Uncaught exception:java.lang.NullPointerException", after several attempts I restarted the phone an the sms icon diappeared from the menu. I can send sms though through email application, but don't receive them any more, because there is obviously no place where they can go now.. when doing the following messages-view folder-inbox sms again this Uncaught exception:java.lang.NullPointerException appears..
Blackberry 9000 Bold version 5.0.1, using windows 7, Outlook 2010 Trying to synchronize after uploading all updates but getting error message after trying to configure calendar, tasks, address book and memo pad. New computer trying to get BB to sync for the first time.
I plugged my bb curve8900 into my mac and wanted to transfer some files.
I got a message saying that my OS could be updated so I figured sure. I oked this and then, aftr some time, my Curve went dead.....it kinda didnt do anythign and then the red light came on and it was at the start up screen with the 'Reload OS 507' message and the icon.
I googled this and was worried as hell.
So after some time it went odd and then it was fine, the home screen came up and the interface looked updated, now there was colour on the icons and it looked different. I also noticed that there was a twitter icon in my menu.
I tried to then acces my texts and contacts and nothing was there. **bleep**. So having it still plugged in, I thought I could get my contacts back by restoring the BB. Ofocurse, as I now know, this only does it since the last time you'd sycned it so my BB has reverted back to nov 2009's call logs/contacts /sms's .
So, all my downloads have also gone now.
I was able to connect online before without turing my w-fi on, but everytime i try to access the ineternet i get a "this is a wi-fi service.please ensure your device has an active wi-fi connection and try again' message which is weird because before i coudl go and browse whenever i liked.

I have this Error 513 reload software on my phone. don't know what to do. It came when I was trying to connect to my computer desktop, I was asked for my Blackberry password. I tried many times and would not accept it. I think I tried more than ten times. I called the service provider, they saied take out the battery and SIM card, that did not work. How can I clear this message and restore my phone?
I have been using my Blackberry 8900 for more than 18 month and never hadany problem.Today I went to Blackberry apps and downloaded the Blackberry protect software, while the download was going on, the mobile got off automatically and post that neither its getting on nor I am able to connect it to myDesktop manager (latest version 6.02). It shows the error as Reload Software 552.
Just last night I got the white screen with the reload software: 507 error. I was downloading some new apps my phone just crashed, so I tried to reload the software and all that. When at the loader app, the "waiting to initiate device" step, my phone turns on but with the error and the loader doesn't recognize my phone and asks me if I want to retry or cancel everything. I have tried a bunch of methods out there on the other forums, but they didn't work.
Does anyone have a soultion to help me get the phone back in working order? I called them because my bluetooth was dead, and we (the tech and I) wiped the phone and was trying to reload the software and would keep getting an error as we were reloading. I have a refurb coming in 4-5 buisness days. But in the meantime has anyone found a way to reload a 8220? We tried using the run from the start screen option and now my desktop manager wont reconize my pin.
I am new to the Storm, a friend gave me his today. I was trying to unlock it and something went way wrong. Now when I turn it on, it just comes up to a white screen saying "Reload software: 513".Where would I find the software first of all, and 2nd how do I install it back onto the phone?
This happens with literally every single e-mail I get! I have to refresh Mail twice to make messages stay in my inbox, else new messages disappear and do the same thing the next time the iPhone checks for e-mails (which is very annoying because if I leave it it'll vibrate over and over again because of just one e-mail).Restoring doesn't do it, and my iPod touch actually does the same thing too.
Yesterday afternoon, I rebooted my device. A white screen appeared and it says reload software 552, I have looked all over the internet downloaded jl_cmder but it doesn't work. It wont even connect to the blackberry desktop via USB. I am not bothered about losing all my stuff from my phone, I just want it to work.
When I try to text it sometimes goes through immediately but most times it tries with the red box and check mark and then it gives me a SMS error 97. Sometimes I get an SMS Error 0. I can no longer resend the message. This has never happend with any other blackberry I have had. It always tried to send the message until it got it through. While this is going on I still recieve e-mails and text messages. What is the problem and how can I address it?
