My blackberry has a application running in the backround. The application is a black box with a question mark in it. I removed my battery like 3 times and and restarted it, it is still there. The application says "tweeting" under it. I even restored it and the problem still exists. I try to open it, and it just takes me to the home screen. It is really killing my battery. Please let me know ASAP because i need to close that app now.

I use an application which some times would not respond and can't be close from the menu as the menue is not pop up when i press the bb key. When this app stucks touch screen won't work fine and when am pressing an icon, phone highlights another icon.
Is there any method to close this stuck app other than removing the battary.

I have read various topics on this, solutions never got me further than 20mb. This issue makes my device go really slow firends have more than 5 apps and their device runs fine.

View 7 Replies View Relatedsomething is killing my bb battery , it hardly lasts for 8 idle hrs and the same battery on another bb will last for around 2 days if not used too much , I had initially installed quite a few apps and thought maybe this was the reason for the weak battery , so i deleted all the apps and still the same . I have only downloaded FB application and google maps. maps I use occassionaly while FB is always on. I have deleted all games but it doesnt help. Once application memory falls below 10mb handset slows down.

If I were using my Blackberry in a company using a BES then the knowledge base suggests that there is an IT Policy in place preventing the application from being installed. However, I am with O2, synching to the likes of Google and BT Yahoo, using a BIS. Just in case there is a policy, I have viewed it in Options > Security > Security Status Information and it says:

Whenever I am installing any new app it is consuming the application memory of my device. Can I install the new application on Device Memory which can be expanded I think.
This is for anyone that uses the Kobo Application for ereading. I am having major issues with it and the Kobo people seem to think that there is a problem with my blackberry. They tell me that I am missing a 'store directory' that should be a default on my phone. Apparently I do not have this directory and the application won't work without it.
Is there anyone that knows how to get this directory or have had similar problem where they can't sign into their account. The exact message I get when I try to do so is "This action cannon be completed. Please try again later". I have deleted it, installed it again and restarted so many times. I have slowly begun to give up on installing it but I still want it!
If anyone has pointers on how this application can finally work I am open for it!

I have upgraded my OS to 6.0 so practically 50% memory is blocked there.
I am unable to switch applications after having answered a phone call, but only when I answered the the phone while it was locked. I can get to the "switch application" option by pushing on the BB key, but nothing happens after. Is it a setting issue on my device or a limitation of the locked phone?
