BB Storm :: Closing Not Responding Application?
Jan 5, 2011I bought a slightly used 9550 and i'm from Srilanka. I use an application which some times would not respond and can't be close from the menu as the menue is not pop up when i press the bb key. When this app stucks touch screen won't work fine and when am pressing an icon, phone highlights another icon.
Is there any method to close this stuck app other than removing the battary.

Apr 6, 2012My blackberry has a application running in the backround. The application is a black box with a question mark in it. I removed my battery like 3 times and and restarted it, it is still there. The application says "tweeting" under it. I even restored it and the problem still exists. I try to open it, and it just takes me to the home screen. It is really killing my battery. Please let me know ASAP because i need to close that app now.

I went to emails setup and re-entered my pw and it connected to the server and after a few minutes, it showed me the above message.With the power on, i have taken the battery out for a minute or two and reintalled it and it did not solve the problem.It has retried connecting to the server with the same results.

Feb 13, 2012Yesterday, my Xoom has started to really slow down - on occasion. I will touch a button on the screen and nothing will happen for maybe ten seconds, and then it will do the task. This not only happens when browsing, but also when working in some apps. In that case, the above screen will mention the app, not the browser. At this point, sometimes I can't even turn off the Xoom. If I just let it sit, it will "clear" itself and start working again. For the record, I haven't added any apps in the past week and the AVG virus program says all is well.

Uncaught exception: application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app (4609) is not responding; process terminated.NOTE the bracketed numbers in this string changes based on the contact I try to access i.e it could be (4612)The phone freezes and I have to turn it on and off again! , before I can move off address page. Upon turning the phone on I get the above error.I have looked through the support forums and searched using the error, I have found similar relating to a traffic app but nothing relating to the address book.

Aug 13, 2011I have reported this so many times to BB that I am starting to think they don't really have anyone out there fixing these things as we have had at least one update since the first report and its still happening.My device freezes up and eventually comes back with the following message:Uncaught exception: Application net-rim-bb-messaging-app (148) is not responding: process terminated.Then control is returned to the device.Its now starting to freeze up when I turn the device on first thing in the morning, though here it doesn't normally come up with the message but after about 5 mins will give me access to the device.

Jan 17, 2010I've just recieved the N900 (UK on Vodafone) but straight away i've come across and error which means it's going back for a replacement handset - although Vodafone currently struggling to have the N900 in stock! The error is "internal error closing app". My concern now is reading lots of blogs i'm currently concerned that the N900 is not yet ready for the market and perhaps should be looking for something else. Is the phone the way forward?

Apr 9, 2010Okay, I really don't know how to fix the following things because I already did a soft reset, a hard reset and finally re-installed the software. Re-installing the software helped for a week or two, but now these things are coming back again:
- My 5530 always fails checking for updates (it keeps searching endless).
- Impossible to use Wi-Fi to check e-mail.
- Applications are closing randomly (most of the times Ovi Store, Internet and Settings).
And something else: when I woke up this morning, my phone didn't want to start up, I tried turning it on and off, without success, so I removed the memory card and then he suddenly started again. After that, I turned my phone off to put the memory card back in and he worked again with the memory card. I just wonder what could be the reason for this.
