Sep 27, 2010What is the file that give the name and the icon to the mass storage device when you connect the bb to the pc? After a wipe my is show with the name blackberry1 and the icon is the same of all HD.

I used it a few times OK and then after connecting to my PC (may be a coincidence) I cannot locate it and have to look at my music and picture files through the Files Icon. The memory card is located OK and I have my music and pictures on it.

Jan 25, 2010Staying away from WinterBoard since my phone feels overall much better without it. I currently use Five Row Springboard for 5 Icons across in one row. Is there any solution to have 5 going down (excluding the dock) sans WB? Had this when I had WB and loved it! I used it in conjunction with BossPapers No Icon Labeling. I would even get rid of the labels sans BossPaper if there was a quick way too! I can SSH in if it's a necessity, as long as it's a quick thing. Don't wan't to modify code too heavily.

Jun 11, 2010I just lost my BB App World icon after doing the recommended update to version 1.1.0.35. I downloaded it twice but the icon is nowhere to be found. I know the application is on my phone, when I go to "options" and then "Applications" I see it listed. Just can't find the icon to open it. Usually I can find stuff in the Download folder. Apr 8, 2012I have somehow lost the icon for "contacts". My contacts are still there, I can find them by searching but don't have an icon on my home page (or anywhere else) to click on to add new contacts or find old ones. Can anyone advise what I've done? I've tried synching with my laptop but that hasn't brought the icon back, and I've powered off. I backed up to the cloud earlier but am a bit bothered about trying a full restore! Besides, the contacts icon was missing when I last backed up, so it probably wouldn't come back anyway!

Aug 9, 2011I have a blackberry curve 8520 smartphone .I was sending a txt and in the midst of it noticed my BBm flashing 2 I carried on with the txt and went to check my BBM but to discover the icon has gone I cant seem to retreive it .I am getting messages and can send messages, but not very useful as I cant add anyone and have few on my BBM

Jan 14, 2012I lost the Ovi store icon from my phone today. I can see Ovi store app when I check application manager>installed apps. But it is not there in the menu. So I cant access it by any means. I tried installing the new qml store client. Even that gets installed but not available thru menu. I can confirm it is installed in the phone memory as I can see it in the installed apps list. But no way I can use it since there is no icon for it. Also I have lost my internet search engine which is used to search web content thru native browser.

Dec 26, 2011I updated my app world because it needed updating and now, it's gone. I've looked everywhere, I've battery flipped it and I still can't find it :-( It's installed though because it is in my applications!

Nov 26, 2015So my Icon Rebooted back to factory and now I have lost all my contacts. Apparently Windows wasnt back them up nor was VZW Back up assistance or Google. I logged on to my Live account and there is a device back up on there but how do I install it back to the phone. I hope my contacts are stored in there. Anyways when the phone rebooted i went through the how set up process and it new installed it. Its like a factory fresh phone. No app, no contacts, nothing.
