BB Tour :: Backup Program And Lost Data?
Nov 15, 2011Verizonwireless sent me a link to Blackberry program to backup my data from Tour 9630. I failed to realize that it is only for contacts. I connected it to my MacBook Pro. In the process all my "Notes" and "tasks" got deleted and new OS2 got installed in my BB. I tried "Restore" button. I only retrieved "Contacts" and "Schedule". how to recover the "Notes" and "tasks?"

Apr 8, 2012I have somehow lost the icon for "contacts". My contacts are still there, I can find them by searching but don't have an icon on my home page (or anywhere else) to click on to add new contacts or find old ones. Can anyone advise what I've done? I've tried synching with my laptop but that hasn't brought the icon back, and I've powered off. I backed up to the cloud earlier but am a bit bothered about trying a full restore! Besides, the contacts icon was missing when I last backed up, so it probably wouldn't come back anyway!

Jan 1, 2010I have a new Blackberry Bold 9700, The Blackberry Maps are? were, or maybe partly missing? I called AT&T Support they transferred me over to advanced support, the woman there catogorically stated there is no compatible version of BB Maps with the 9700, doesn't exist. This Morning I decided to investigate my Application Folder or Inventory on the 9700 and sure enough its there, unless I have a broken brain under 3 rd party applications it says " Blackberry Maps 5..0.0" 7 modules installed and it shows the Update Date, the purchase date I connected to Blackberry Desk Top Manager and upgraded all the software.

Nov 5, 2011I had a very odd thing happen I had moved 5 or 6 apps to the SD card using the manage apps function on my phone this morning when I turned my phone on the apps that I had moved to the sd card were gone there was a different icon in place of them when i pushed the icon it said that the program was not installed I went back to manage apps function and the app was still listed I tryed to move them back to the phone but it failed so I had to reinstall them from the market now they work just fine again I have alot of PDFs and Docs and Exel files on the SD card none of them were affected I also have links on one of my home pages setup to open up these files and they were not affected so it seems as there is not a problem with the SD card just with the apps that I had moved there.

Jan 14, 2012I lost the Ovi store icon from my phone today. I can see Ovi store app when I check application manager>installed apps. But it is not there in the menu. So I cant access it by any means. I tried installing the new qml store client. Even that gets installed but not available thru menu. I can confirm it is installed in the phone memory as I can see it in the installed apps list. But no way I can use it since there is no icon for it. Also I have lost my internet search engine which is used to search web content thru native browser.
