Usually, Google Talk supports multiple clients being active, you can have it running at the same time on your PC, on your laptop and your android phone. But not on your N8 phone! The client on my Nokia works, but as soon as another client is started, say, on PC, it disconnects.

I'm planning on using this phone with a mvno that uses cdma but has no lte and I do not have a sim for the phone that is why i'm wondering.

May 30, 2012Recently I switched from a CDMA service to GSM iPhone 4s using my same phone number. Facetime and iMessage will not activate. However, under Facetime settings where there is usually a phone number my email address is there (which is also my apple ID). So even though this is not activated someone can Facetime me using my email address. My phone was reset to factory settings twice and it didn't help. Apple Store tried to fix it to no avail and gave me a new phone. Once they loaded it back up, same issue. So we decided it was the carrier of the service. I checked with them and they are puzzled as well. We are thinking it has something to do with taking my existing phone number from CDMA to GSM and something happened.

BB Bold :: MMS No Longer Opens With Pic / Video And Sound Simultaneously
Nov 18, 2011Maybe this topic has been discussed already but I cannot find it. Ever since updating my OS to version 6.x from 5x OS I can no longer open a mms with a pic/video and sound bite simultaneously. i.e. If someone sends a video with sound file or a picture with sound file, it used to open simultaneously. Now it only shows as a separate pic/vid to open and separate sound file to open. It used to work before the upgrade and no longer works. I tried every which I can to change setting on my phone but no matter what it always separates the file.

From what I can tell, it looks like since we will be new AT&T customers we will only be able to initially buy 1 IPhone 4. A bit of a problem, since we each want one. We were planning on going to the Apple store to sign up for a family plan (since apparently you can't sign up for a family plan via the Apple website) and reserve the phones.
Would it be possible to sign up for a family plan now, without buying any phones, and then buy two IPhones? Alternatively, is it possible that when we go to reserve we'll just be able to order two phones? Or is it possible to just sign up for two individual plans and then merge them into a family plan? Otherwise we may have a throw down over who get the phone!

Ideally, I would like to know how to edit the "sms mo so" setting so I could change it to 13k instead of 8k, as has been mentioned in various material I have found. Secondly, tonight, I managed to breach this phone's 70 or 72ish inbox limit by having lots and lots of picture messages. I got it up to 117 when I decided to delete all the messages and see if the new limit had been set, as was suggested to work for certain Samsung models on another site. This does not seem to be the case, as I am back at 72.

Mar 16, 2011I have a CDMA Hero with Cellular South (a regional carrier in MS, AL & FL). They have been generally pretty slow to provide updates and currently have only released Android 2.1 for this device. I was hoping that they would eventually provide a 2.2 update, as I understand that this would allow some applications to be moved to the flash card. Right now, the limitations of being able to store applications on only the phone memory is fairly constraining and makes the decision of whether to install or not install an app pretty tough.
I have been recently told that Cellular South does not intend to update this phone to 2.2, so it will be stuck forever on 2.1 (unless I install a 3rd party update). why this phone would not be updated to 2.2. Has HTC just decided to not support it any longer? If so, I've bought my last HTC phone.
