Jun 12, 2012I have activated Personal Hotspot with my carrier AT&T. I cannot find Personal Hotspot listed under General>Network setting. I have tried to Reset Network settings but it is still not appearing. I am running an iPhone 4 with the latest iOS 5.1.

Mar 24, 2012Instead of the usual Wifi menu in the settings menu, it is replaced by Personal Hotspot which is also greyed out. It is on 5.0.1. It can connect to 3G perfectly fine however.

I am on BB OS 7.1.0 Bundle 921. When I go to Manage Connections, the Mobile Network is checked and shows Bell; the Wi-Fi is enabled and shows my router. When I enable "Mobile Hotspot" I am asked to "Create a WPA2 Personal passphrase for others to connect to your device. 8-62 characters". I type in a valid string, scroll down, and click OK. May 23, 2012The existing KB article on troubleshooting an USB connection to a Mac makes no sense to me on Lion with my MacBook Air.It says to mark the ethernet connection inactive. I've got the Wi-Fi and the iPad network connections and marking either inactive and then active has no effect on the USB tethering.
The iPad entry says cable disconnected even when my iPad is connected. iTunes starts and can sync to the iPad and tethering works over bluetooth or Wi-Fi, but I'd like to get USB tethering working so I can shut off my Air's radios completely and tether to my iPad 3.
