My cell phone contacts are gone when I select the contacts icon. When I select my call log I can see them. My email contacts seem to all still be there. My cell phone contacts are the ones missing. I have gone to Verizon for help and they said it is a Blackberry issue. Please help.

I have created three filters in my contacts, lets say Family, Friends and Colleagues.I want to see Friends and Colleagues only and do not want to see family members listed in contacts. To achieve this I guess I need to select the filters Friends & Colleagues and leave the Family filter unchecked. But the problem is, if a filter is selected and I try to select a second filter, the previously selected filter gets un-selected. It lets me select only one filter at any point in time.Is there a way to select two or more filters? If so, please let me know how to do that.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have separated email from SMS/MMS messages.When I select the SMS icon I can see SMS messages from a specific date ~7 days ago, but nothing more recent. When I select View Folder and select SMS Inbox I can see all my SMS messages up until current.Does anyone know how to fix the corrupt SMS/MMS icon (which is presumably pointing to a corrupt view of the SMS Inbox)?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'.
In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
Is there a button to switch off Blackberry 9700 instead of going to Main Menu, then select "Switch off" icon?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9000 that keeps going to contacts no matter what icon I click on.I tried upgrading the OS and the phone worked fine for about an hour and then went straight back to only going to contacts. The same thing happens when I downgrade.I am unable to make calls or do anything from the contacts list. The phone is basically unusable.
I have tried the upgrade and battery pull and restore from back up.Does anyone have any suggestions of what this could be and how to fix it.

With the New Icon, can I select any song in my library to use as my ringtone? I can on my blackberry.

My contacts are still there, I can find them by searching but don't have an icon on my home page (or anywhere else) to click on to add new contacts or find old ones. Can anyone advise what I've done? I've tried synching with my laptop but that hasn't brought the icon back, and I've powered off. I backed up to the cloud earlier but am a bit bothered about trying a full restore! Besides, the contacts icon was missing when I last backed up, so it probably wouldn't come back anyway!

But BIS gives me no option to sync calendar and contacts... there is no box to check for these.What am I missing? Should I be looking elsewhere other than BIS? BB 9790 OS 7.1.0.523.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Bold 9780 is about 1 1/2 years old. OS 6.0 bundle2921. A few letters do not work along with the menu key. The phone reset itself since I could not enter the password properly without these keys. I also cannot use the number 5 which is part of our area code. I have had it looked at (fixed) twice without success. They say it needs a motherboard. Now that I got the phone back the microphone doesn't work. I can hear callers but they can barely hear me. I have 1 1/2 years left on the contract but have a useless phone now.

It started to stop working, so I ordered a new dome as well as a colored trackball as long as I was ordering things.Got parts today, replaced the trackball and the dome, and still no clicking. Could I have not put the dome in perfectly centered? Does that likely mean that the dome is not my problem?
I've gotten used to using the enter key for everything, but some things will not accept that. The option menus just go to the next line when you push enter instead of letting you change the option, the new Google Maps won't accept any input on the initial change permissions screen except a trackball click, so if there's anything else I could try, I'd really like to.
thought everything was ok with my phone, (experia mini, new software) but for some reason when I tap the contacts icon on the bottom of the screen, my contacts are not there, only my own name. I can search for names in messaging and everyone from my phone contacts, to my facebook friends and even Fearne cotton from twitter is there! I would like just my phone contacts visible in my phone book. I've tried to back up contacts from before the software update yesterday, and it takes ages to get through to 100% but the names are still missing
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got the 9700. Great phone, but I'm having a problem with my contacts. I came from an Android HTC, so my contacts were synched up online in my google account. However, my email account has always been yahoo. So for the blackberry, I set up yahoo email, and all the contacts came through to the contact app (and I couldn't find any way to undo that). Then, solely for the purpose of getting my contacts onto the blackberry, I set up gmail. The contacts came through successfully.
The problem is that both sets are now displayed in the contacts, but I only want those from google. The yahoo contacts are only email contacts, so I only want them to come through in the email app.
In contacts, I went to menu - select contact list - google. This solved the problem, but only until I exited the app. As soon as I entered next time, both lists were reselected (show all contact lists).
I have been having difficulty accessing the email settings on my Blackberry Bold 9780.When I first got the phone I was able to set the email accounts up I wanted no problem. Since then however I cannot access the email accounts via the setup menu. The 'Email Accounts' menu is there however I cannot click / open it to access / view the accounts.
I phoned up this morning regarding the matter and they gave me a link to a website where I was able to re-activate the email accounts. Turns out they had been deactivated. I then turned off the phone, took the battery out and turned it on again. When I tried to access email accounts via setup I still could not open the email accounts. I then phoned them again and the woman had me delete all the service books after which I was re-sent them.Basically none of the above worked. I have no email tab within my selections and still cannot access emails.
How do you select multiple pics to send or delete??
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis problem just started happening. The trackpad would scroll without any problems, but pressing it down (to select) will not work. It does have tactile feedback, and you can feel the button depress, but on the phone, nothing happens.I've tried everything (hard resets, soft resets, battery pulls, etc) but it still doesn't work.I was starting to get used to just hitting the Enter button on the keyboard until my girl turned of the 'Mobile Networks' in the radio menu somewhere. When you're trying to turn it back on using the enter key, all it does is go to the next selection. I am quite experienced with these phones and I have replaced the trackpad on these phones before, but right now my girl has it and she's off island.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy touch screen has been playing up for several weeks nowWhen I try to touch the main screen it will select an area to the right of where I am touching, i.e. clicking the dial pad button will actually select the contacts button, clicking 'answer' on the keypad will put the caller on hold etc etc. Other times the scren will not respon at all.
The funny thing is, when I remove the phone's plastic casing, the touch screen works fine! Similarly, if i push the top part of the case to the sides (so it is not in contact with the digitiser) the touch screen will work again until my phone goes on lock and then when I unlock it the touch screen is stuffed again.
I'm not sure if this is a software or hardware problem. On one hand its as if the plastic casing of the phone is rubbing (putting pressure on) against the side of the touchscreen and causing it to not work (hardware) while on the other hand it could be software in that the problem keeps happening everytime the screen goes to sleep (it's not initialising right).The other problem which started at the exact same time is that the green button is not working sometimes when I try to answer calls or turn off my alarm.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should try? I've already done a hard reset. The next step is to buy a new digitizer/plastic case and see if that solves the problem.
Lost my contacts when I click the contacts Icon. My phone still has them housed somewhere because when I get a call or text the phone still shows the contact name. Now when I click the contact Icon it reads Find at the top, Personal and No Contact?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got my new Blackberry Bold 9000 and got everything migrated from my old Pearl and I have everything working good except the Blackberry Messenger. I upgraded it to 5.0.0.57 and all I get is the Blackberry Messenger License Agreement and it will not allow me to click on either button, ``I Accept``or ``Ì Do Not Accept`` .Is there something I`m missing or what.... This is very frustrating as it is my only way of communicating while I`m working.

All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?
