I have a Bold 9790. The phone was working perfectly until I connected to a wifi connection today. After I disabled the wifi connection the BI and BES say "not connected" in service status. Kindly advise how I can connect to the mobile network again.

I contacted my service provider but to no avail the service is still not connected.. I am suscribed to a data plan but still the internet service is not functioning.. But the status for BIS (under OPTIONS) reads "not connected". I'm unable to connect to popular BB app's like facebook, time and also unable to use maps or GPS.Error message i get is "could not connect to a data service....." (for facebook) & "BIS or BES not configured........" (when trying to use GPS)I've tried to get it solved through my service provider (MOBILY) who've not been able to help for more than 3 weeks now. Tried hard to search for a solution on internet, found quiet few (this seems to be a common issue) but been unsuccessful.

My iPhone 4s won't connect to my car head unit it comes up connected and then half way thought it comes up as not connected and when I try to connect again it come up as device is out of range even when the phone is right next to it?

i have a bold 9900 and it seems nearly every bbm stops working. i can still use it through WIFI but it says not connected when not connected to WIFI. i can not get on facebook at all even with WIFI. usually when this happens it starts working again but its been down for over 24hrs now.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have tried everything under the sun and the problem still exists.my problem: my bold 9780 is connecting to my wifi but won't use the connection when browsing the web.
i don't understand and it's quite annoying why it won't work as it did before. i've even spoken to orange and sky to try and solve this problem and still nothing.
whenever i browse the web on my blackberry via the browser through wif the pages never load. it's actually quicker to disconnect from wifi and use 3g then wifi. my blackberry was working fine before why has it stopped working. this has to be fixed as it's a pain!
i've tested other wifi spots and i have the same problem so i know it's not my router. i removed the security on my router but still no luck. i've done a master reset on my blackberry and still the wifi will not work. i've even had the handset replaced and still the wifi will not work!
the blackberry connects fine to the router and its shows as connected to the router but it just refuses to load pages when wifi is on. it gives me an error message:
"unable to find the requested server"when wifi is on and i try to browse the double headed arrow icon in the top right should be on when using the wifi, but it hardly appears at all when the pages attempt to load it should be on constantly when loading pages through wifi.
i can't even see Internet videos it keeps buffering the gives me the same error message as above.
My BlackBerry Bold randomly stopped connecting to the Internet. Within the "Manage Connections" then "Services Status" sections, it says "BlackBerry Internet Service, Connection: not connected." Does anyone know what/where I should click to get the internet connection back?

The BB Bold icon does not appear on the top after connecting but the signal strength Icon comes up with no problem. I am connected to wifi and up till about 3 days ago everything was working fine, now it shows I am connected, but I can only get on internet for about 5 mins, I have to shut off all my connections then reconnect them for it to work again.

We have WiFi and the phone indicate that they are connected to the WiFi when we are in the house. However, my bill from Bell indicates several instances where the phones (all 4 at different times) are connected to the 3G network for 24+ hours at a time. Additionally, it shows the phone connected twice during that time period (as though there were 2 different sessions at exactly the same time, but with differing amount of data connected)
The explaination that Bell gives me is that there are 'minimized' applications still working on 3G even though the phone says it is on WiFi, and that each of these opens its own 'connection'My understanding of cell technology is that the phone can only access one method of Internet connectivity at a time, and that it can be explained as a 'pipe' or 'straw' carrying connectivity and all of the data. I have never heard of a phone that can access two different types at the same time, nor one that uses separate 'sessions' at the same time of either type of connectivity.
I would assume that I turn on my phone in the morning and I am in my house, it indicates WiFi, so I can browse the web, collect my email and update my Facebook on that 'session' that lasts 4 hours until I leave the house. Now my 3G kicks in and the email that I still have open now collects through the opened 3G session, as well as the page I left open downloading something.When I get to work and enter my WiFi area there, the session would then collect my email through WiFi again, and my download as well.

Had this BB9700 for 2 weeks now, still struggling coz I can't connect to any WiFi. At home, even I turned the WiFi on it will only show white mark and the WiFi logo is still gray. When I try to scan for network to other areas it will ask for hotspot login. My friend can easily connect to her WiFi at home using the BB 9000

View 8 Replies View RelatedI used my Blackberry 9900 ( Carrier : o2 UK, OPerating system: OS 7.1) to make a call and noticed it was running out of battery. I then placed it on my table only to return to find it dead. I have tried everything from connecting the phone to 4 different computers, with and without the battery, I have also used about 3 or 4 other batteries and it still wont come on or show any sign of life. The worst part is whilst researching the issue online, I noticed other people mention a light or a sign comes up but with mine there has been no light, no sign, just DEAD! I tried the App Loader method but no PC recognises the phone when connected. The phone was never dropped or wet or ever misplaced or mishandle. I have had it for just over a year and this is puzzling.

Works great with facebook, browser etc. But now, i go to my work place and insert the wifi password. It's says to me that it is connected but it still use the wap to connect the internet. (I don't have data plan). So I am charged for connecting with the browser. I go >manage connection>mobile network options> and try to turn off the date services. But when i do, i cannot connect neither with the wifi nor with the wap. Try to understand me, how can the mobile tell me that i am connected to wifi, but use the mobile network to connect the internet which is a charged service.
