My Fiancee has a Blackberry Bold 9900. She needs to be able to access her archived Whatsapp Messenger Chats. However, these chats have a .cod.rem extension. We have tried everything to open these files with no success. I know she has BB DTM 5. How can she open, convert or decrypt these documents so that she can read them, as well as, email them. I have sent an email to Whatsapp Messenger support as well; but have yet to get a reply. It is very important that we get access to these chats.
My Bold 9900 wont open attachments of any kind. I've tried numerous things, and eventually wiped the device, registered it again, and it still happens. I've tried sending test emails to myself to check the problem, but it still exists.
I have a Blackberry Bold 9900 running os 7.1.0.284. It will not run WMA music files from my sdcard saying the it is an "unsupported format". These ran just fine on my 9800. A resync of these WMA music files from my computer has the same result. Has Blackberry dropped support for WMA? Am I forced to take the added step of converting to MP3? These are much larger files than MP3 and I am afraid that the greater compression of MP3 will cause audio loss. Why would files which worked just fine on a two year old 9800 not work on current hardware, such as the 9900 with the latest os?
I've connected my bold 9900 to pc and copy paste some music. Now I done see all my media that was on my phone that include all my stuff that was on my memory card.
I am unable to open pdf file in my blackberry 8520 curve. the mobile does't have any pdf reader pre installed. Do we need to install software, if so please send me the link to download or the software itself.
I downloaded Beamexplorer File Finder so I could open a zip file and can't get it to work. I downloaded the file to my file cabinet and when I click to open it it says "cannot open file". how to get the app to work and open the file.
Recently, I have been unable to open files or access links on my Xoom. For example, when I go into my downloads and touch the screen to open (say) a PDF file, the screen goes dull and then returns to normal brightness and my file doesn't open. If I go into Documents to Go and open the PDF file it seems to work OK however?Same thing is happening with video files, for example I touch a video file to open it in VPlayer and, again, the screen goes dull and I can't access the video. Same with music whcih I can only access through the music player, not through other routes such as Astro file manager etc. Also when I try to open some links to websites embedded in emails etc the screen goes dull and then bright again and the links don't work.

My w595 is not opening any jar/jad files! Whenever I try to install any java app or game, it says "operation failed". I've reinstalled the firmware, the FS, and even tried the MASTER RESET on it...nothing worked! It used to work fine, one day I copied a lot of java games on it and its been like that ever since even after all the resetting.
Any tips / shortcuts on how to transfer all my calendar /contacts / music / files etc from my old 9700 to my shiny new 9900? Also changing provider to have two sim cards (until Monday).

I have recently upgraded to OS 6 on my Bold 9700. I'm on BIS. I have 4 email addresses on my BB - 1 gmail, 1 googlemail, and 2 POP from the same domain. I can open attachments (have docs to go and attachment service) on all but one of the pop addresses (''this attachment type cannot be viewed on your device'). have resent service books, registered HRT (?) and double checked I have both docs to go and attachment service. I know it can do it because it does it for the other three..am I missing a simple setting somewhere. Oh, and I've tried quite a few battery re-boots.....
when i lock my keypad on my bb and then get a text message, email or BBM. I unlock my phone after taking it out of the pouch and it automatically opens my messages
How can i stop this becuase i dont want this to happen as it is quite annoying.
Just got my wife a BB Bold 9780. Current software version is as delivered from the Bell retailer (ver. 6.0, bundle 863 I believe).
Anyway, when you open the browser, it allows you to visit a website. However, as soon as you click a link, it begins to open the website, but then about 1/2 way through loading the page, the browser jumps back to the 'bookmarks' home screen. When you press the back button, it just exits the browser. Tried with multiple websites, and the behavior is always the same.
I've tried the usual fixes - battery pull, clearing the browser cache and history, etc., but the problem won't go away.
Has anyone not able to open up My World in BlackBerry App World? I did 2 battery pull and I'm still not able to open it. Also I can't get Categories, Top Free, Top Paid or the Search icons to open either.
I had a Pearl for 2 years and then it broke in July but my mom never stopped paying for the extra 30 dollars for the internet and stuff and then I got a Bold 3 weeks ago and up until like 5 days ago it let me on the internet. It will let me go to a site but then won't let me go anywhere else. For example it will let me go to google.com and then I will google something and it goes to the AT&T world phone page and something pops up and says "A problem occured while trying to render the page" anyone know why it's not working?
We have recently upgraded a few 9630 Curves and 9900 Bolds to OS 7.1 (Curve to 7.1.0.336, Bold to 7.1.0.342) from T-Mobile UK. We have one pressing issue that happens on the upgraded curves and bolds. After a few consecutive missed calls when you go in to the messages application it does not show emails, it shows the Missed calls list. No matter how many times you back out and go back in, Missed calls (only) are displayed. Also the same when you go into the call log. it only shows missed calls. I am not aware of a keyboard shortcut to show missed calls only and do not think that is the case as it has happened to these devices too many times after upgrading to 7.1. Has anyone seen this or can provide any assistance?
Earlier today, my BB started doing something weird. When I get a new email, I highlight it and press the trackball to open it, but it opens the previously received email instead. If I hit the back button (taking me back to the email list) and then hit the new email again, it still takes me to the previous email. The only way to open the new email is to scroll up to the date and then back to the email, which will then open the correct one.
Also, if the new email is highlighted and I delete it, it deletes the previous email instead.
I've tried a battery pull and it doesn't help. I'm on a TMO 9700 running OS .330.
On connecting the 9700 to the device manager on my laptop, the opening screen is asking me for a password before I can access the manager its self !
I have entered the password that unlocks my keypad to make a call, but its telling me its incorrect ? Other than the keypad access code which is 6 digits I have not entered any other code " infact its a new phone and Im still trying to get my head around it,
Ive called the service provider and they cant help and direct me to the Blackberry website ! Ive looked throughout the site and as yet havent come up with any thing.
I am new to Blackberry and I have some questions about my 9700. I have tried looking to see if this has been posted but I didn’t see anything. I recently installed the .602 OS and did the battery pull and all that hoping it would fix the problem but it hasn’t. The problem is when I miss a phone call and receive a voice mail. I do have the visual voice mail set up and to my knowledge that works fine. The visual voice mail alert popup shows up first and when I go to play the VM, it starts playing and then the missed call alert popup shows up on top of VM. I can either open the missed call to view it or dismiss it. If I open it, I can’t do anything to the VW since it is still going or not going anymore in background and if I dismiss the missed call, I have to go back a view the missed call in the call log to get the icon to go away. Also, once everything is done, my SMS & MMS folder opens up for no reason that I am aware of. Is this normal for everyone’s phone? If not, do I have a setting wrong that I am not aware of? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
