View 11 RepliesI have a question about the way the phone uses its internet services. I currently have the original Blackberry Tour 9630 with Verizon, and the browser works off of my signal. So whenever I have a signal, I have internet. Is this new Bold the same way? My sister has it and we were in the car today and it said internet coverage was not found. I was just curious if it was strictly JUST wifi or if it runs off the signal AND wifi. If somebody could help clear it up for me that would be great.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently unlocked my 8520 from t-mobile to at&t, i have the data plan with both providers. After i started using the 8520 on the at&t network i noticed that i cannot change my setting from hotspot browser to internet browser anymore which in turn i cannot use the data service with at&t that i am paying for. Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there are any functional difference between the two, i.e. HTML rendering, images being broken, etc. Under Browser -> Options -> Browser Configuration, If I configure both the Blackberry and Internet browser the same way, will a particular URL behave the same?I'm in the process of testing our mobile applications on different devices and would appreciate if you could provide the difference, if any between the 2 browsers.

View 14 Replies View RelatedMy phone is 3 days old and did not have issues until last night. The browser allows me to initally connect ot a webpage, but will not allow me to click on any links. The cursor switches appropriately when just navigating vs. hovering over a link, but the track pad will not regist any "clicks".Has anyone encountered this or know of the fix?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9000. Its unlocked I was told its a international version since it dosnt say ATT or t-mobile at the bottom of the phone. Well it only has the hotspot browser. And when I go to options >browser configuration> browser it only has one browser which is the hotspot browser. Theres no other browser there. Is there anything I can do to add the other browsers? Because I don't want to just have wi-fi alone because not every where you go has wi-fi. Can any one help me or tell me what I should do?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a second hand blackberry bold 900. When I go on to the browser it only brings up "hotspot browser" . I have tried to change the settings but there are no other options in the menu. Perhaps the other owner had restricitons. Should I reload my blackberry with software or what else can I do?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo on my tour all I used was Opera Mini as my browser, but I can't seem to get Opera to work on my bold. It freezes up and the trackpad is wayyyy too sensitive. Hopefully Opera will fix this issue, but until then what is everyone using now? Bolt? BB browser?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI can't switch back to my "WAP 2.0 Browser(CSL)" anymore. I did a battery pull, and after that when it switched but when I tried to load a page it said "This is a wifi service".I have the service books:
Wap Push config
Wap BrowserConfig
WAP transport
Has anyone tried oprea or bolt browsers yet in their new bolds? I have bolt on my storm and gf tour and I really like it. I was wondering if anyone has had any issues yet?
View 14 Replies View RelatedVerizon, Bold, 9650. A few days ago web browsing just stopped. It slowly looks like it wants to load the page and shows the page name, but after a long time nothing ultimately happens. I can send/receive emails, texts, calls, use apps, calendar, everything but websites, in both BIS 3G mode and WiFi.I haven't loaded anything new lately.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry Bold 9650 Browser won't work. I do have the blackberry data plan with AT&T and every time I attempt to open the browser, a message pops up "This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again." When I try to change the browser option to internet explorer from Hot Spot browser there are not any other options that come up.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis is my very first post so please excuse me if I have posted my question/problem in the wrong section. My wife and I have VERY recently bought new Blackberry Bold 9650 phones, they are our very first smartphones. My wife loves to read so I went to the Blackberry App World and downloaded the app FREEBOOKS on her phone, the app itself installed just fine but every time I try to download a book for her, and even sometimes just SEARCHING for a book, it will give me an error message that reads
The server returned the following
error while attempting to fulfill
your request: "CONNECTION TIMED OUT".
Can someone PLEASE possibly help with this problem OR direct me to the correct section that can assist me. I have been to my Verizon store and they were absolutely NO help after waiting for over an hour.

View 3 Replies View RelatedGot my first bb ever last night with the bold and I love it. But, I have a question: when browsing sites in the browser, when you hover a link aren't you supposed to be able to just push in the trackball button to 'click' the link? Its not working for me on any sites. I actually have to press the BB menu button and select "Open Link". (e.g on crackberry wallpapers, when i click on a specific genre of wallpapers like "ART", I have to select "open link" instead of just clicking the trackball). It might just be because I am not familiar with all the menu settings yet and this is a buried setting somewhere.
View 8 Replies View RelatedAlmost everytime I go to use the browser, or an application that uses the browser (such as Poynte) I either get the error that it can't be used because the radio is off (which it is not), or that there is insufficient network coverage at this time and to try again later. Needless to say this is getting VERY old. I do had Quickpull scheduled to run everynight at 8pm. I took it in to Verizon and the woman there was extreamly unhelpful. The device itself is about 2 months old. I've searched the forums and found nothing like this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI imported B Berry Bold 9650 from America and everything worked well with the local network provider for more than a year. On July 25 th my internet connection stopped working. My network provider says they did a network upgrade and all foreign phones are now unable to connect to the internet. They say their is nothing that they can do for me. Just before my ph was disconnected I tried to download the Blackberry App World Version 3.1.4.25 Could this have caused the problem?

I did a hard reset at the verizon store a couple weeks ago as this has happened before (more like 1x a week at least) I called verizon they told me to buy a new phone so they are no help I dont know if this is related to the outages they are experiencing or not but since this has happened before i figure not. It says "Browsing over the cellular network is not included as part of your current service plan. To browse use Wifi or contact your service provider to change your service plan." ( and yes I have a blackberry data plan
View 4 Replies View Relatedi was subscribed to BIS on my phone and after a few days the i couldn't access internet. I noticed the blackberry icon next to the 3G sign is no longer there which means i'm not accessing the service. I called the service provider and they told to do a battery pull which i've done several times. They told me my phone isnt activated on their network but it was initially. I've also tried registering from the host routing table in the options several times but there are still no entries. i was then told to wipe the device which i did, but i still didn't get the service.
