View 14 RepliesGetting a bold 9650 today and was wondering what the best alternative browser for this phone is. I've heard of both bolt and opera mini but don't know which one works better for the 9650.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy phone is 3 days old and did not have issues until last night. The browser allows me to initally connect ot a webpage, but will not allow me to click on any links. The cursor switches appropriately when just navigating vs. hovering over a link, but the track pad will not regist any "clicks".Has anyone encountered this or know of the fix?
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo on my tour all I used was Opera Mini as my browser, but I can't seem to get Opera to work on my bold. It freezes up and the trackpad is wayyyy too sensitive. Hopefully Opera will fix this issue, but until then what is everyone using now? Bolt? BB browser?
View 14 Replies View RelatedVerizon, Bold, 9650. A few days ago web browsing just stopped. It slowly looks like it wants to load the page and shows the page name, but after a long time nothing ultimately happens. I can send/receive emails, texts, calls, use apps, calendar, everything but websites, in both BIS 3G mode and WiFi.I haven't loaded anything new lately.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry Bold 9650 Browser won't work. I do have the blackberry data plan with AT&T and every time I attempt to open the browser, a message pops up "This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again." When I try to change the browser option to internet explorer from Hot Spot browser there are not any other options that come up.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a question about the way the phone uses its internet services. I currently have the original Blackberry Tour 9630 with Verizon, and the browser works off of my signal. So whenever I have a signal, I have internet. Is this new Bold the same way? My sister has it and we were in the car today and it said internet coverage was not found. I was just curious if it was strictly JUST wifi or if it runs off the signal AND wifi. If somebody could help clear it up for me that would be great.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis is my very first post so please excuse me if I have posted my question/problem in the wrong section. My wife and I have VERY recently bought new Blackberry Bold 9650 phones, they are our very first smartphones. My wife loves to read so I went to the Blackberry App World and downloaded the app FREEBOOKS on her phone, the app itself installed just fine but every time I try to download a book for her, and even sometimes just SEARCHING for a book, it will give me an error message that reads
The server returned the following
error while attempting to fulfill
your request: "CONNECTION TIMED OUT".
Can someone PLEASE possibly help with this problem OR direct me to the correct section that can assist me. I have been to my Verizon store and they were absolutely NO help after waiting for over an hour.

View 3 Replies View RelatedGot my first bb ever last night with the bold and I love it. But, I have a question: when browsing sites in the browser, when you hover a link aren't you supposed to be able to just push in the trackball button to 'click' the link? Its not working for me on any sites. I actually have to press the BB menu button and select "Open Link". (e.g on crackberry wallpapers, when i click on a specific genre of wallpapers like "ART", I have to select "open link" instead of just clicking the trackball). It might just be because I am not familiar with all the menu settings yet and this is a buried setting somewhere.
View 8 Replies View RelatedAlmost everytime I go to use the browser, or an application that uses the browser (such as Poynte) I either get the error that it can't be used because the radio is off (which it is not), or that there is insufficient network coverage at this time and to try again later. Needless to say this is getting VERY old. I do had Quickpull scheduled to run everynight at 8pm. I took it in to Verizon and the woman there was extreamly unhelpful. The device itself is about 2 months old. I've searched the forums and found nothing like this.

View 4 Replies View RelatedYesterday I updated from 5.0 to the 6.0 bundle via laptop. Afterwards since I am always connected to wifi I tried to use my twitter app. It wouldn't connect. So I tried to open my hotspot brpwser and that wouldn't work either. I disconnected from my wifi and reconnected. Same result. My wifi and both my tmobile and wifi browsers were working perfectly before I updated.

no matter what settings I use on the 9650 "Memory" settings. I cann't get any computer (Windows 7 or XP Pro) to recognize the device as "mass storage device" so I can access the memory card. There is plenty of items on the card, and I can access them fro mthe decive, but the computer won't "find" it. This is with DM 5.0 and 4.7, on windows XP Pro and Windows 7.

On my old BB I hit the back arrow key and it saved to draft, (i would often have 4-5 texts in draft before I sent all out) If im not mistaken you cant do this on the new 9650?? Do I need to get an application to assist with this? ANy suggestions? Sorry if this is a rookie question but...Im a rookie when it comes to these phones.
View 11 Replies View RelatedWhen I upgraded my 9630 to my new bold 9650 I had a 16gb micro sd card in the 9630. I copied all of the files from my card to my computer, put the 16gb card in my 9650 and formatted the card. I then copied all of the files from my computer back to the sd card and put the card back in the 9650. All seems to be ok, I have my pictures etc. When I go to connect my BB 9650 to my computer I get a message on the BB that says: "Content rights do not match this device. Please insert the media card back to the right device." this only happens if I have the memory option set to "Auto enable mass storage mode storage set to NO" Any ideas?
Thank You
Is anyone else having trouble using the "Vibrate in Holster" setting? My 8330 would automatically switch to vibrate when I put it in my holster that has the magnetic closure. My 9650 fits in the same holster but doesn't seem to switch to vibrate even though I have that setting chosen under my sounds profiles.
View 7 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if I get a Bold 9650 next week and I back it up with all my apps and settings from my backed up Storm2 9550 file will that happen successfully or should I just reload all apps from scratch?
BTW: I have SocialScope on my Storm2 will it be an easy transfer to my Bold 9650?
Anyone else have this problem? I usually sleep with my Bold in bed with me (who doesn't) lol, and have been waken up many times to a sizzling hot phone. like burning up hot. I put it on the nightstand and seems to cool down. but I always slept with my tour laying next to me in bed, and it never got that hot. Please let me know, or test this theory tonight Just want to make sure it is not a bad phone or battery. thanks for your time.
Not being weird its my alarm clock and i don't have a nightstand on my side of the bed and I sure as heck am not leaving it on the nightstand with my wife's bold. mine needs comfort lol. Also i realize this may have been posted before, but i am more looking for 9650 specific threads. and more charging specific threads as well.
Is the keyboard on the 9650 exactly the same as the 9630? Or is it the same as the keyboard on the 9700? The keyboard on the 9700 is much nicer in my opinion to that of the 9630 as its a little wider it seems and keys seem a touch bigger.
View 14 Replies View RelatedSince my contract is up on Sunday (for me and my mom anyways, my dads isn't until october, so they are making us pay the early termination fee or go without a phone for 3 months, oh and this is Verizon i'm talking about, but you probably could've guessed that) and I am thinking about either getting a bold 9650 or curve 8530 for Sprint, since Verizon makes you add $30 onto each blackberry(crooks). But I was looking at the features and I would like the Bold but for some reason the cheapest I can find it is $99, while the Bold for Verizon I can find for free. My question is, is the Bold a lot better, enough to spend 100 dollars instead of 50? and why is it that I can find the Verizon bold for free but not for Sprint?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am going to switch to Sprint, coming from AT&T (iPhone 3G) and I'm currently looking to buy a BlackBerry. I will mostly use it for BBM and not necesarily for web browsing. Which is best for me, the Curve 8530 which is free or the Bold which costs $150?
