Aug 25, 2010Trying to do the mandatory reset for the password on a hotmail account and all roads (edit, delete, validate) lead to a frozen "Login" screen.

BB Bold 9000 :: Wont Turn Off - Screen Stayed On - Frozen
Apr 11, 2010basically my blackberry 9000 was charging and whilst charging i took out the battery. the fone screen stayed on but frozen. then wen i removed the charger it has been dead ever since. no response nothing, no led lights wont turn on, wont charge absolutely nothing! is there any hope or is my blackberry dead forever?

Jun 13, 2010I have been reading some other posts on this board that seem to be close to my problem but nothing seems to be working. My phone was fully charged sitting in the charger all night as per norm, but when I woke up I hade a frozen white screen so I pulled the battery for over 2 min's then put it back in the red LED was constant for 15-20 seconds then off. I have tried charging it and tried putting on a new OS but as soon as I plug any USB in the phone the LED will go off and will not be recognised by my laptop nor will I get any charging LED.

Jun 10, 2012So I uninstalled Whatsapp because it said the date and time of my blackberry are wrong. Then it said I have to restart my device, which I did. After the restart, I typed my correct password but then the screen is frozen. I restarted my device again, and it was still the same. But when I typed the wrong password, it responded and "wrong password" window appeared.And then, I saw this post http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Tour/Frozen-after-typing-correct-password-HELP/td-... and it said that I still can switch application by holding the blackberry button and switch between applications that is running on background. And I still can. But it is so annoying that I can't go to my home screen.

Aug 25, 2010Today I attempted to upgrade to the new 5.0 OS via Desktop Manager. The backup was completed and software installed. The process stalled on the reboot portion. My phone turned on, and I saw the blackberry screen with the loading bar below. The loading bar filled up and then my usual AT&T World Phone orange screen came up (which usually lasts for about 5 seconds before the home screen comes up). However, the orange screen lasted over an hour. Since the software was already installed I did a battery pull. The phone started up to the same AT&T screen and stops. The backlight still dims as usual, and comes back up on a button push but its stuck there with no home screen, now for another 3 hrs. It won't allow me to try to wipe or reinstall the OS because the phone has to be started to do so, and it says it can't connect to the phone (but it does recognize my device when its plugged into the computer). I have searched the forums for similar problems but haven't found any others with my problem.

Aug 30, 2010I dropped my BlackBerry Bold 9000 on the weekend and damaged the LCD screen. The device still works, but two thirds of the LCD is now white and there's what looks like an inkblot on the left side of the screen. I'd like to try to fix it, but don't really want to shell out a lot of $ to do so --- I'm a month away from upgrading.Does anyone have any suggestions, or perhaps a dead BlackBerry with a working screen that you're willing to part with? A DIY repair -- this is out of warranty anyway -- looks straightforward, but I'm not sure I want to spend the $100 or so for a new OEM part to replace the LCD screen.

Jun 6, 2010Running Bold 9000 w/ OS 5.0.0.681 on AT&T. First reformat both device memory and media card. Then issue a soft reset. Instead of standard reset, it performs a "Fast Reset". Upon viewing Device Memory, it states:
"Device Memory cannot be read."
4 GB media card is fine, without errors. In order to restore, it requires a repair. Upon issuing repair, it returns as successful (able to read & write to the 859.2 MB of total space).Does not occur with 4.6.0.304, appears to be a bug in 5.0.0.681.

Aug 19, 2011I have a Blackberry Bold 9000, I haven't much applications or themes because I don't want to use the application memory. It shows memory is 20MB but after some time as I use my phone it becomes less like 2mb sometimes and when I reset the phone again it comes back to 20mb.
