May 13, 2010Ok, So I was wondering if I were to take the plunge and upgrade to 5.0, since ATT hasnt released it yet and shows no signs of releasing it anytime soon, Will my memopads and password keeper information still be there when I load up 5.0? I have alot of stuff on these so losing them would mean no upgrade for me....Also I dont have a data plan, that wouldnt cause any problems right?

I downloaded facebook version 1.7 for my BB Bold. couldn't get it to work.. it won't recognize my email and password... it keeps on saying " connection error, service data missing unavailable" can someone enlighten me on this matter? what am i missing? i'm using wifi connection to access facebook.

Jan 26, 2010my name is Lisa and I have a bold 9000 I was recently trying to sync my phone to my computer by using the desktop manager... It prompted me for the blackberry password on my computer. I entered my CORRECT!!! Password numerous times until it said one last attempt or all memory will be erase.. Being that the CORRECT password was not working I went to the password options on my bold and disabled the password.. As I attempted this a prompt showed up and said type in "blackberry" so I did then it said type in password, I typed in the correct password once again then it started wiping my phone.This is extremely frustrating I have... Well had =[... A lot of stuff on my phone and now it is all gone! And to top it all off it will not start up again, it says "reload software:513"I don't understand why this happened and I found several other people on online forums who have had the same problem with no solution.Please help! Is my phone completely wiped out for good?

Nov 5, 2011There was this pop-up thing happening and without knowing what it is and trying to get rid of it, I entered the password incorrectly 10 times and my phone got wiped. I did not back up any of the data in my phone. Now, every time I turn on my phone (bold 9000) the battery dies within 2-3 hours and when I switch the battery it erases all contacts and adjustments to the settings that I've made. In addition to this, the phone gets super hot, even though I turn the phone off.

I am very used to browsing with the other phones and I have heard that BB phones are not up to par, so my expectations will be low. Aug 30, 2010I dropped my BlackBerry Bold 9000 on the weekend and damaged the LCD screen. The device still works, but two thirds of the LCD is now white and there's what looks like an inkblot on the left side of the screen. I'd like to try to fix it, but don't really want to shell out a lot of $ to do so --- I'm a month away from upgrading.Does anyone have any suggestions, or perhaps a dead BlackBerry with a working screen that you're willing to part with? A DIY repair -- this is out of warranty anyway -- looks straightforward, but I'm not sure I want to spend the $100 or so for a new OEM part to replace the LCD screen.

Sep 18, 2010A few days ago I pulled my phone out of the holster and It was really hot and when i looked at it i realized it was off, and wouldnt turn back on. just a red light comes on like normal upon a battery pull but after it turns off the red light comes back on again once more then stays off for good. unless i plug it in then it comes on and goes off all the time. I got it powered back up yesterday but then it did it again. Today I plugged it in and I saw a picture of a battery come up on the screen showing it as empty, i was hoping that meant it might charge up. but no such luck. My main objective is just to get the phone up long enough to back up the info on the phone.

I have been trying to change it on my Bold 9650 but to start I have to enter my ID (which I checked and is my email address) but when I enter it I get an error message saying that my "user name is invalid. A user bane nust be at least 4 characters." and I can get no further. I have verified my Blackberry ID and my username but nothing I do works. As a last resort, how do I delete my email account entirely and start over?

Nov 8, 2012I own a Verzon provided 9650 smartphone version 6.0 v6. till yday, everything was working perfectly. Since yesterday, i noticed that my Sound is suddenly off. Basically, when someone calls me, even in my "Loud" profile setting (with nothing being on silent in that profile), I cannot hear the phone ring (as if it was set on Silent setting). i can see there is a call coming (just as Silent setting) but i cannot hear the phone ring. If I use the speakerphone icon on the keypad, even then i cannot hear the caller. If i play a stored video, in speakerphone mode, I cannot hear anything and the same result if i play stored music, Similarly, i can SEE my alarm go off, but cannot HEAR it at all. However, if i use a handsfree/headset, i can hear everything, i.e. i can hear the caller, i can hear the music, video, etc. in any mode i cannot hear at all.
I have hard re-booted the handset (i.e.rmeoved battery when the phone is in ON mode) a few times but to no good. Problem still persists. Any help or recommendation would be helpful. I am updated with all my softwares, etc. I dont download anything from the internet (not even music) but do browse the internet (basically 2 or 3 very-well visited news and sports websites like ESPN, etc.

Worth Noting - other than the little discrepancy on the top right corner, they do increase the 'grainyness' of the screen, which is particularly noticeable on screens with a lot of white. I'd say they are a so-so solution for keeping your screen scratch-free.
