There are three sample movies sitting in the system folder (BMW M3, Speedracer trailer and a Delta Goodrem music video) which take up about 85MB of memory. I have tried using maxmem from Berrycoder to remove the files, but it won't delete these videos from the memory.Using FileScout, I try to delete the files and the response is "cannot delete the file, it is an OS5.0 read only system file". Is there any way of deleting these files on the Bold 9000? I have read up on Crackberry on optimising the memory and trying to use BBSAK (BB Swiss Army Knife) but have had zero success on getting rid of these files. Another question while I am asking. Would deleting these files make any difference to the available free memory as reported through the Status. I am hovering around 27MB and want to increase it without deleting the apps I have loaded into the Bold.
I recently had to remove an email address and then reinstall it. Unfortunately, before I removed it, I forgot to highlight all my email as 'Read'.Having removed and the reninstalled the email address, rather than have an empty inbox and 0 Unread emails, I have an empty inbox and 41 unread emails. It's obviously still storing the old email somewhere or still picking up the unread count from somewhere but I can't work out where.
Could someone mail or pin me with a solution to this. I know someone out there will have done this at some stage!
I have BB Bold 9000 (v.4.6.0.303). I upgraded the BBM to verion 5 (5.0.0.57), and cannot send any media files using BBM - whether it's a picture, voice file, you name it. The options simply don't exist in my BBM menu.
I used this with absolutely zero problems when I was running 4.6. I recently upgraded to 5.0 (681), and now none of the streams I used to use work. I get an error message, saying that it could not be open.Any suggestions as to A) how to fix it or B) a free app that will stream custom URLs? My phone has been reset several times since I first noticed this problem, and it is still an issue, so a battery pull/reset is not solving this at all.
I was using my Blackberry Desktop manager last night to move a video from my laptop to my BB Bold 9000.Now, in the move from my "computer" to a folder on my media card, it DELETED all the videos I had in that folder.I know there were there before I made the move as I saw them located on the bottom part of part of the manager. Then, they were gone. The reason I am in suck a worry about getting these back is they are very personal videos for me. (Of my daughters 1st words, steps, etc)I NEED to get these back.
I removed my media card, transferred some pics to my computer, then re-inserted my media card. Have done this dozens of times, but this time when I re-inserted the media card I got a message saying "Media card inserted contains errors please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer." I have no idea what this means.
when I go to media and click the pictures icon I get a menu in this order: All Pictures Picture Folders Sample Pictures I have set a folder to store pics in on my media card. After moving all the pics to that folder I go back and under the tab All Pictures those same pictures that I moved to the folder on my media card are there also. I tried to delete those but it says the pictures are in use. How do I remove the pictures from the All Pictures folder? Also is there anyway to delete the Sample Pictures?
just got a 16gb micro sdhc for my 9000, transfered all my stuff from my 8gb perfectly and can play all file off computer. but once i plugged it into my berry it said "A Media Card has been inserted that contains errors, would you like to repair it?" I select yes and it gives me the message "Media Card Repair Failed"
Recently I have been unable to view my media files although my memory (internal 8gb) isalmost full. Each time I take a picture or a video I am able to import it onto my PC but I am unable to view it on my phone.I have a 9900 and do not have a memory card. Numerous battery pulls have not resolved this issue. When I go to Media/Pictures or videos in both cases it shows that I have no pictures or videos.I cannot view them once I have taken them and of course I cannot delete them to make clear some space.
i have BBBold 9780 on So6. after synchronizing my files or after connecting my device to the computer, I can no longer view my pictures on my device. I can only view files that I saved through a computer. for example if I take a picture now, I won't be able to view it but the media icon just say: no pictures.
i have a bb 9790 and i tried sending media files to a bb 9900 by going to the certain file and placing the phone against the 9900 but i dont receive any notifications. there is no nfc tag in the options menu. does it have anything to do with my bb service?
SO I have searched manically for 2 weeks looking for a solution to my problem.I had a blackberry bold 9000 it died with WSOD- no calls, no texts, no work-y no mo'.so I had it powered up and used my mass storage feature to pull off 120 of my beloved pics... BUT... they are in jpg.rem
I know everyone says put back on your device and decrypt them or email them etc.. but this is not an option.I now have a new bold 9700 and it is through my company - so the security and encryption cannot be changed
Is there any software or any other way to change these to useable files?
My BB used to be able to play the .wav files that I received by email from my office phone system. I just ran the BB updates it wanted to and now when I attempt to play a .wav file, media player opens but then says - an error has occurred attempting to play media. The media being played is of an unsupported format.
I found posts saying I needed to install the BB attachment service but I can't get the option to show in Desktop Manager even following the instructions to download and run the OS on the PC.
I have problems charging my Bold 9900 via usb incar and it wont connect via usb and play media files. It will not charge at all and comes up with a message this device/charger is not supported or words to that effect, I've tried three different cars to no success, and different usb chargers including the blackberry one supplied to no avail. I have tried the wifes i phone in my car and that charges fine via usb and plays music... Any ideas ? ps the bold will charge via usb off my laptop or pc ???
I have this darn sample song by Aeson (whoever the **** that is) and no matter how many times I delete it, it still will show up at some point later on. Its been a couple days but the sample video will show up once in a while too. Its getting so annoying. How do I delete them for good? Also is there a way to delete visual voicemail for good too?
I have the Bundle update, but still every so often, when I get a notification it is not in a tone I have set. I check the storage and none of my files are shown: pics or sounds.
So I battery pull it, and it's fine. But then later on, it can just go again. I have a Lexar 16gb card in the phone. What's causing this?
I have bb 9700 with os 6.0 bundle 2115 (v6.0.0.480, platform 6.6.0.151 ) Usually I have low device memory when make any download and install any applications , and I need to make any app download and install and Store files on a media card instead of the device
Recently my blackberry bold has stopped playing media files or voice notes, the only media that still plays is the alarm tone and the ring tone!On start up it gives the error message 'Uncaught exception : A browser content provider for video/3gpp MIME type has already been registered with the browser'.Then when you try to open a media file, the screen goes white and it says 'Unable to play content.'So far I've tried re-registering the host route tables, battery pull etc and software updates and nothing has helped.
my phone gets the spinning clock all the time....so i am trying to prevent it from as many apps from running at the same time...so apps you just can't stop.....but i noticed that "Documents To Go Files" automatically starts when i reboot my phone....i went to their site...but could not find the answer....anyway to prevent it from starting in the beg, instead of having to turn it off everytime?
So I installed the new OS for the 9700 (5.0.0.862 - Vodafone) and my desktop manager isn't letting me add new media files or anything like that. It keeps telling me that I have to turn on Mass Storage Mode for this to work. I have desktop manager 6.
My phone is an unlocked AT&T Bold 9700 and my service provider is Fido (Canada). How do I fix this guys? I'm relatively new to this whole blackberry stuff.
So I checked the box to hide files on my media card but it seems that I can't get them back - I am using 5.0.0.423 and the "explore" option is not present when I click the menu button under "media". Any other ideas?
I've connected my bold 9900 to pc and copy paste some music. Now I done see all my media that was on my phone that include all my stuff that was on my memory card.
I'm trying to add some ringtones to my Torch. They are there and I can see them in the file manager or when I sync to my Mac. But when I go to the ringtones folder, they are not listed. There is an option to select music for a ringtone, so I put the mp3 file in the music folder along with other music files, but none show up.
The same thing happens when I take pictures with the phone. If I look at the pictures folder, it says no pictures. But if I go through file manager to the media card, I can see the pictures.
