Mar 16, 2010I love the native browser except for how it displays crackberry.com forums. The text is microscopic no matter which text size I set it at. I do know that I have to pull the battery for a text change to update (.405 software), but even that doesn't seem to change the forum's font size while other sites like ESPN and Facebook are affected.
The Opera cursor is way too laggy for me but that broswer displays the forums great and the BerryBlab app is way too slow for loading the forums and threads.I this an issue with my OS? How do you guys view the forums in native browser?

Mar 12, 2010As I find myself becoming more and more addicted to crack(berry), I was wondering how most of you access these forums from your phone.When I first started checking out the forums, I always used my lapotop. But now I find that I rarely even turn my computer on.Is there an easier and/or better way to access the forums besides using the WAP address in the briowser? Any third party apps that will help in my addiction?

Sep 15, 2010I have crackberry.com as one of my favorites on my homescreen. well i log on to crackberry.com on the pc and try to email myself a wallpaper. so when i did it the first time i never got it and then my bb started to act weird, i would touch the top of a tray to close it and it would change pages, i would try to dial and when i push the 9 the 7 would pop up first, if i press the 3 the 1 would pop up first and so on and so on. it did the same thing the 2nd time i tried it.

Jun 9, 2010I just signed up for my Crackberry email address and it works fine (forwarding and all). But, I wanna start using it when I send emails from my Blackberry and when I do it says that they've been sent using my Gmail address instead of Crackberry. I want other people to see my Crackberry email. I've gotten it to work for sending from the Gmail website but not from my Blackberry. Any suggestions on how I'd go about changing my sent address?

May 10, 2010I have had my 9700. I just noticed today that the sliver pieces that separate each row of keys are fragile. I have one piece that is totally broken on both sides under the Talk and End button, another broken one under the Q and the lower left one below the Z key. On all of them but bottom one, they were originally hard to see. Not sure how I found them but upon closer inspection, more and more were broken. The bottom one actually sticks up some.
My only concern is that they are going to get worse and totally break off and then free for all on dust and dirt in actual keyboard. These silver strips look real cheap. Anyone else have broken ones in their keyboard? How have you solved the issue? Can they easliy replace just the keyboard at the tech center? I have seen OEM keyboards for sale too but not sure I want to try that myself. I am going to call At&t but not sure if they will do a warranty swap for this. My wife has the same phone and hers are all fine and intact. I think parts of this phone were made on a budget. Bad design with the keyboard.

Originally all posted to one folder messages folder in the message 'center' where all the sms etc go into (middle of the screen icon at the top) i am not sure what has started to happen but suddenly i then had 2 messages folders and now i have 3. They all go to the same place and sometimes contain the same message which just appears in all 3.
I think this started when i started configuring the sync of the deletion of the folders "folder reconciliation". how i can delete these additional folders as they are just a nuicense they mean very little as mail is randomly flowing into them.

Apr 5, 2010I often hear many people complaining or wanting to have the Bold 9650 look like the Bold 9700. I found this picture of the Tour 2 9650 splitting with the 9700 Bold to show the differences between of the Bold 9650 if it stays the same without changes, this is what the difference would be compared to the Bold 9700.as you can see, the only difference if the Bold 9650 stays the same as we see here when the final release comes, is that the Bold 9650 has a somewhat larger bezel VS the 9700 Bold. Other then that, you can see from the pic, nothing else is different on the face of the phones in looks.just thought it was pretty interesting(left side is the 9650, right side is the 9700.

Jun 6, 2010I have a Bold 9000 that keeps going to contacts no matter what icon I click on.I tried upgrading the OS and the phone worked fine for about an hour and then went straight back to only going to contacts. The same thing happens when I downgrade.I am unable to make calls or do anything from the contacts list. The phone is basically unusable.
I have tried the upgrade and battery pull and restore from back up.Does anyone have any suggestions of what this could be and how to fix it.

BB Bold 9000 :: Is The Bold Significant Upgrade From Curve 8320?
Mar 18, 2010I'd appreciate opinions from folks who had a Curve 9320 who upgraded to a Bold 9700. I love the Curve, but am starting to have issues with long periods of watching the hour glass, but also mechanical age issues, like a metal pin that poked through the 5/D key.My only complaint with the Curve, other than the amount of time it spends thinking about itself, is that I could never use weatherbug or any of the weather apps, they just ground everything to a halt.

Jul 11, 2010I have been going through this forum for a while and have tried all of the fixes that I can find to no avail. I have a brand new Windows 7 64-bit machine, that never had the Desktop Manager installed. I have installed version 5.01 off of the web site. Windows is able to see the Blackberry in the Device Manager just fine and I can also see the internal storage available under My Computer and I can access all folders. The Virtual Ports (COM3 and COM4) are also available in Device Manager.
I went through and followed the clean uninstall and reinstall instructions and various other suggestions that I have already seen. For whatever reason, the Desktop Manager still won't see the BB. When going into Options in the Desktop Manager, it shows that USB is selected but still nothing under PIN.I am connected to the straight USB port on the back of the computer and have tried several there.

Aug 10, 2012I imported B Berry Bold 9650 from America and everything worked well with the local network provider for more than a year. On July 25 th my internet connection stopped working. My network provider says they did a network upgrade and all foreign phones are now unable to connect to the internet. They say their is nothing that they can do for me. Mar 7, 2012I had recently downloaded and installed the new os 7.1.0.267 os from SK Telecom form the software download page of on blackberry site to my bold 9900. Upon doing that i was able to access the new mobile hot spot feature and even set it up for use after calling my service provider for the APN which is Lime Jamaica. I even tested it by using another phone which detected it. However sometime afterwards about 30 minutes to an hour later while listening to music my headset got pull out by mistake and upon putting it back in realized music wouldn't start playing back after pressing the side button. Unlocked the phone only to see the play icon highlighted in music player but nothing wouldn't register when clicked with trackpad or touch screen. plus got a message on the screen saying that device media player was busy, which continued for a while. Did a battery pull afterwards which fixed the problem. However a few hours later when i decided to show a friend the new feature and test it by connecting his phone, upon accessing the connections menu the mobile hot spot option was missing even in networks and connections. essentially it disappeared form the phone the only apps on the phone besides the default ones was wikitude and whatsapps. Even after a factory reset it didn't return. Did a clean wipe of the os and installed the os again upon which the hot spot option returned only to disappear again after about a few minutes at which time no extra apps was insatlled just the default ones. Have no idea whats causing this and whats worse the 7.1.0.267 download has been removed from the Sk Telecom link.

BB Bold 9700 :: Dropped Bold Into A Drink With Sugar
May 3, 2010I managed to drop my phone into a glass full of a virgin margarita. I think it was made with a bit of sugar too.
I took out the battery and then I left the phone to dry in rice. Now I tried to turn it on but it doesn't turn on. When I plug it into the wall charger the red light just keeps blinking. I decided to take the phone apart and when I did everything was really sticky so I cleaned it up with a bit of rubbing alcohol.
Is there anything else I can do to get this to work?
