My Hs-500 bluetooth headset is only 8 months old and has rarely bin used. The on/off switch decided to stop working last month which means the battery drains out quickly and accidental calls are made whist its stored away in my pocket.I still have the receipt, my service provider (O2 UK) are saying i have to contact rim for help even after the fact it was purchased from one of their stores.

Have no idea what I can do. This is my 9th Blackberry phone and appx 5th model. 9900 absolutely is a commercial disaster for me. Low battery life, intermittent software failures. My phone is a tool not a toy, so this may have to be my last Blackberry.

I remark this as my HS-500 was out off battery on a daily basis, I made some test and find out that even after switching it off I can still use it and access the phone. I try a new sync and a reset of the HS-500 but this seems not changing anything. Is there any procedure to benefit from the warranty periode?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a BH-111 that I can't seem to switch off. I have been using it for about 2 months without issue. Earlier this week I let it drain down totally and recharged it fully overnight. Today when I tried to turn it off following my daily commute to work, it refuses to turn off. The usual holding the power button untl the light turns red works, but the BH-111 then flickers and shows the green light continuously again.
After checking the manual on nokia.com there doesn't appear to be a reset.
how to get it to turn off, or is it faulty and in need of a return?
How can I switch off the number announcements when receiving calls? I find them annoying.

It can switch between radio stations and so but I can't change tracks. Seems the music player doesn't recognize the button or so. I use the headset that came with the phone. Its the nokia WH 205 white version. My package is from movi star and it doesn't have the mini controller for music. I need to make the only button on headset switch songs!

I have an iPhone 4s (Verizon). I had recently purchased what was described as an OEM screen plus LCD after I had cracked my factory screen. After replacing the screen and LCD such features as the side volume controls, vibrate switch, and proximity switch (dimming after accepting a call) have stopped working. I double checked to see that all of the connectors were pushed on correctly and they were. Is it possible this may not be an OEM screen and causing the problem or is there a piece of the hardware that I may have damaged that controls all of these functions (i.e. motherboard)?

So of course there's switch mode from work and "play". I have this issue where when I switch from one the theme changes and if I switch back the theme doesn't change. Hi, I have a N97 (all firmware up to latest) and my OVI maps has never worked (logs in but as soon as you use it it just closes the app). Sometimes when I end a call it just switches itself off and on again. I even had a case where the battery went flat and I charged it for a while but had to take it off of charge but for some reason the bar still kept on moving up like it was charging. In all honesty I've only had problems with my phone and am kinda regretting not getting a Iphone instead. Please help as this phone will be flying out my car window on the highway if this keeps going on.

I was able to restart the phone, it played the welcome chime and the notification LED blinked but no screen. A hard reset was out of the question because of the lack of screen functionality.
I've since sent it in for repair, but wanted to post this because someone I know had the exact same problem and am wondering how many others there are out there that are going through the same issue.

I also did I hard rest, reinstalled PC SUITE. The only way phone "talks" to the PC is via bluetooth but the only wo updates software is via usb cable.Please help.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought the N97 in October 09 (its now Feb 2010) and since then I've had multiple problems with this phone and each time something different! This phone has been nothing but problems and each time I take it in to be serviced I get it back almost a week later and within 24hrs it has already died again and generally wont even go past the nokia screen when rebooted or will freeze up and not turn on at all. I seem to be constantly having software and memory issues as well as having problems accessing the applications and the touch screen being temperamental even tho I have asked for these problems to be fixed on each occasion. This time I went back to the Nokia Care centre and spoke to the Manager and all he could tell me was that he's done what he had to do and that he is not obliged to do anymore and I can keep bringing it back when it fails as it is under warranty.
I am highly disappointed in this phone, it has given me nothing but problems and even more annoyed and disappointed in the staff at the Care Centre. I actually wonder if they actually do check the phone and fix it properly especially since it keeps dying and I havent even used it. I also have a list of about 42 people who have had multiple problems and issues with their N97 and continue to have problems despite getting it serviced. Is anyone else in the same boat? How I can get out of my contract or actually get my phone fixed without having to go thru this again or being patronised by the store manager again?
i just got beack my phone back because of the same problem, and 2 days after it happened again. When i click on the ovi store button, the loading image is not in the middle of the screen but at he top left part. And if i leave my phone to load the application it just loads and nothing happens.After i got back my phone i restore the latest .nbu file, maybe it doesn't like some setting.

If I were using my Blackberry in a company using a BES then the knowledge base suggests that there is an IT Policy in place preventing the application from being installed. However, I am with O2, synching to the likes of Google and BT Yahoo, using a BIS. Just in case there is a policy, I have viewed it in Options > Security > Security Status Information and it says:
No Disallowed Applications
No Policies
i tried all the steps regarding authorisation failure without any luck. what can i do next?
