HTC One M7 :: Play Store Failure
Dec 2, 2013So a new issue on my HTC One.The play store opens for a split second and closes. I've cleared cache and data and it will open. Soon as i try to load or update an app it closes again.

Aug 22, 2014I was tinkering with TB and greenify and I accidentally converted play store into a user app (it was suppose to be google play services but they're next to each other). Now play store won't open. I cleared cache and data, converted it back to a system app, uninstalled and installed again but nothing works. I don't really mind doing a wipe and re-flashing my ROM but I want that to be my last option. Is there anyway for me to get play store to work again?

Jun 8, 2012I am a developer redesigning my 2d games to be 3d games and I am going have them be specifically for ps certified devices. I am using my new paid copy of ps mobile suite and they play(do far) pretty good on the vita( still a few bugs to work out) but on my xperia play when I try to play them for some reason my xperia keeps trying to access the ps storeWhich isn't a problem . The problem is that I bought the xperia play remanufactured as a test device only but then decided to activate it anyway. So my problem is that when I try to access the ps store I get a 8008104D error. Now I know that this error is because my xperia isn't telling the network that it's an xperia, but it obviously is. So would this be something missing from the framework res.apk or could it be something else? I have Redlands the phone using the update tool, rooted it, all ps certified and xperia certified .jar and all .xml files are in their proper folders as far as I can tell. Why would my expedia be telling the ps store that it isn't an xperia?

Nov 12, 2014I performed a factory reset yesterday (I am on 4.4.4, Verizon M8, never rooted or modded), and my Play Store hasn't updated from version 4.9.13.I've tapped the version number in the Settings screen and it continues to say that it is up to date, but the 5.0.x versions have been out for over a month now (and I had one of them prior to resetting yesterday) so I wouldn't think I would still be subject to a staged rollout...
I've tried clearing cache and data for both the Play Store and Download Manager, clearing system cache, rebooting, etc. and I'm still getting told that it's up to date. Do staged rollouts sometimes impact you again if you do a factory data reset?

It's from a bank in norway called DNB, and it let's you transfer money near instantly from one to another.
This app refuses to run on my phone because it's rooted and have a custom rom etc.
I'm running Xtrestolite Deodexed with the included alliance firmware.
I have read somewhere about Rootcloak Plus with Cydia (what this really is, but i understood cydia is like app store for iOS jailbreaked phones?)
I'm wondering if this exsists on 5.0.2 lollipop (and how to get it / install it if it does), or if there is any other known way of bypassing this applications refusal to run on my device.

HTC One M8 :: Where Is Search (go) Button For Google - Play Store
Jun 9, 2014Just got my M8 Friday and I absolutely love it so far. However, both me and my husband have tried tirelessly to find how to search Google, or the Play Store, or other places in the phone with a search bar. We came from the Droid Razr (talk about an upgrade!) and that had a "GO" button to tell Google to search more than just the drop-down, suggested searches results. Is there anything on the M8 that is equivalent - to make Google actually search what you typed in, rather than having to choose from suggestions (which usually aren't what you want)?

Jun 22, 2015I'm new to the Android world as I switch from iPhone 5 to this new LG G3 that is 5 days old. Last week I downloaded some apps from play store everything was good. Then I removed some factory Apps that I will never use and all of sudden Play Store stop working. It was loading properly but when you hit the install, it would just spin and spin. So talking to the place I got it we did a factory reset and everything was fine again. I installed a bunch of apps and everything was ok.
Yesterday I only remove 1 app and right after I did that I tested Play store and it worked fine. Later at night I tried to install another app and it said that it finished downloading and it would install later. That never happen and now I'm getting a just a grey screen when Play store opens.
I love my new phone except for this Play store issues. I know I could restore again but seriously I don't want to consistently do that over and over. Plus I have to download all my app as again and configure them.

however is that the phone does not appear in my device listing in the Play Store when I access it on a computer, or on Android Device Manager when I access it from a computer or from the phone itself! I can access the Play Store just fine from the phone, but cannot install apps from a computer. From the Play Store or ADM I can see my Nexus 7 and my old phone, but not the Nexus 5. The phone is set up with the same Google account as the other devices.

May 2, 2015I cannot download anything on my Nexus 5 from the play store at the moment. When I press download it gets stuck at 'installing...' forever. It started with the facebook app updating, forcing me to have to download the messenger app (I had used a workaround to avoid having to install it before), but when that wasn't installing I decided there had to be something wrong with facebook. I UN-installed Facebook, but now Facebook app gets stuck as well. Then I tried to find a replacement app, Fast for Facebook, but the story is the same.
