Nokia Music :: Failure To Access Online Store Via OVI Player
Jan 2, 2011
How I get this system back online. In the Ovi player I click the Ovi Music tab, but only get the message now. "We are very sorry but we cannot access the music store at this time. Please check your internet connection or try again later".
I bought an E7 about a month ago and the first thing I did was to upgrade the software. After doing this, i've been unable to access the nokia store. Error message is ''unable to connect to service'' Even when i access the store via a PC and want to download an app, an sms is sent to my phone. When I click the link, it taakes me to ''download nokia store page''. the data on my phone is working perfectly.
it has been a while that i am not able to see or download any paid apps on ovi store. why do you think is that? i can not even find Internet app on ovi when i search for it. i can only see free apps.
Recently I just installed the new Ovi Store update, allowing me to access the Gift section for a while. But after that one visit, I haven't been able to go to that section anymore
I just got a new phone last week that had Comes With music with it. Well, I installed the software, downloaded plenty of songs, all good on so on.However, last night my Windows 7 installation imploded. The only solution was to reinstall the damn thing. This lead to a serious problem with the Ovi Player.
When I run Ovi Player and try to open the store, it just has a message saying that the store is not available right now, check Internet connection or try again later. But the store is indeed working just fine for my brother on another computer, and works from the phone itself. So for some reason, it's just happening for me. So basically I can't download anything or listen to anything I've already downloaded, because I can't even try to register the player to use this computer so I can't play any of the files due to the DRM stuff and the original Ovi installation being lost in the reinstall (the files themselves I still have). I don't really even know if I can set this new installation as the active computer since there's the 3-month limit thing (which is stupid anyway, and I'd never pay for DRM'd digital media anyway, but as the phone came with the CWM code I figured I'd try it out). But as it is I can't even try and can't even browse the store at all.Any ideas on what to do to get the damn software to work? Reinstalling the player didn't help.
My Nokia 5800 memory card sometimes goes rogue and i cant access my music player and says my files are corrupted. The problem is i can view my images and i can access the music via file manager.
The song title and artist does not display when streaming music from Nokia Music on my Windows Phone through my car stereos' bluetooth connection. It also does not allow me to skip songs using my car stereo.
The Zune music player on my Windows Phone has this functionality.
I am wondering if there will ever be a chance for people residing in Singapore to purchase music and eBook online via iPhone or iTunes. If there is a chance this will happen, how soon will this be implemented?
My Nokia Ovi Player has ceased to function following an automated update of Windows 7. The update included 7 security tweaks, a malicious code remover tool and a security update specifically mentioning Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5. When I restore the computer to a point previous to the updates, the Ovi Player works fine. I can only presume that there is a conflict as a result. The messages I receive tell me; "There has been a problem starting Ovi Player. Running the Repair option for Ovi Player in the Add Remove Programs section of Windows Control Panel may resolve this problem." Followed by; "Nokia Ovi Player has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem." Neither method fixes the issue. Any ideas? My phone is the Nokia 5800 and I have been successfully downloading music as part of the Comes With music package for 11 months.
I formatted, then put a couple of songs on it to test it out. The phone recognized and played them, so then I added the rest of my music to the memory card. There's about 14 gb on the card now, so it's almost full. The phone also accurately tells me that there's about 14gb of the memory card that's occupied. BUT The music player now only puts a small portion of all those songs into its playlist, I would say it only plays about 2 gb out of the total 14 gb. I also cannot choose which songs get put on the playlist. I am on Telus, NOT Verizon, by the way. Why can't I access ALL my music in the music player? Is there a maximum to the number of songs in the mp3 playlist that I wasn't aware of? Did I buy the wrong memory card?
I can no longer access the 7 digital music store on my PlayBook. When I click on the icon a blue screen comes up for about 30 seconds then it takes me back to the home screen. It's been like this for 2 days.
I am facing problem logging into my acc.Everytime i start the nokia OVI player,it states signing on the acc and then it says cannot sign in automatically.
Something wierd is happening today. I am unable to sign on to my Ovi Player. It just keeps flashing a message on the centre of the page 'You coudn't be signed in automatically
My phone is not supporting online flash player in most of the websites. So I am not able to watch videos online which requires higher version of flash player. Why it is happening? Can I get update for this flash...
I just bought this device, love it so far. When I use a Google Voice command like, "play Madonna", it defaults to Sound Picker and doesn't play any songs. I noticed Music app is not even listed as a choice. See pic.
Is there a way to have the stock Music app as one of the choices instead of Sound Picker?
I have a Nokia N8 but don;t have a data package with my provider.I want to connect to various Nokia services through Wifi, but the phone just keeps returning an error saying
"Mobile Data Off - No Connection"
Do I have to change something in settings so the phone connects through Wifi to Nokia Store etc?

I have to hard reset my Nokia N8 but now I can't install Ovi Store. I was told that Ovi Store was written in QT and by resetting, I removed the QT Runtime. How do I install these components again?
from the moment I bought my Nokia C3, I have never been able to enter the OVI Store. I have a WIFI conenction at home, so I can enter the internet without problems, only the OVI store does not seem to work.
My ovi store inside the phone (X3-02) somehow disappeared after attempting to update it to the latest version. What is the best way to get it back to restore it?
or get it reinstalled in anyway? I know I can still use it, but i just want to know how to get it back..
i couldn login into ma Ovi store ! I've proper internet connection but still i couldn sign in I'm gettin tis notification " unable to complete the operation due to connection error "
My N8 is running Ovi Store version 2.08.042 but I have not had any notification of a later version and if I go into Ovi Store to try to download the lastest version, it seems to be downloading but then reports a fault.History: Always Nokia since 1994 including Nokia 2140, 7110e, 6150, 6210,6310i, 6230i, N82Current: Nokia N8 (Anna) - and delighted with it!
I've been pouring through forums for ages but can't find the answer. I got a new phone on the 18th, a Nokia C3-00, but when I click the ovi store app, it says "a new version of the Ovi Store is available. You must download the update before proceeding." So I click download. It says loading... Then Requesting please wait.. Then download... The "Replace version 1.8.20 with newer version 2.6.0?" so I click yes... "Application source differs from original. Continue?" Yes... "Keep application data?" Yes... Then it comes up with info "Store version 2.6.0, size: .3 MB, Vendor: Nokia, Certificate: Yes, Organization: Nokia, Country code: Note Available. So I press Accept. Requesting please wait... Downloading Store... Wait about 2 minutes and it comes up "Invalid Application" "Ok". And that's it!
This has been **bleep** me off for 4 days. I have tried doing it with Wifi and Local cell internet in 2 different countries, and it still doesn't work. I've tried pressing No when it asks to keep application data. Still doesn't work. I've tried resetting, updating with ovi suite, and updating with nokia SW updater, none of them work!
i bought my Nokia C7 a few weeks ago and , suddenly , liek a week ago , the OVI Store stopped working ... I haven´t done any hard resets , nothing of that . I only installed games and apps , and the Qt . When i try to run OVI Store , it shows the " OVI Nokia " screen for like 10 seconds , and return to the phone´s main menu .... i tried uninstalling it from the app manager , but it does nothing when i choose " unisntall " , tried to download the newest ovi store from their page , but the isntallation reaches 100% and returns " installation failed " .
Anybody else finding it impossible to access the Nokia Ovi Store I have an N8 but it makes no difference if I try to access the store via my mobile or pc, the end result is the same - It won't connect
I have had 3 Nokias now over the last 5 years all on contract but when my current one runs out in October that's me finished with Nokia! I have had continual problems with Nokia Suite ever since they replaced PC Suite a few years ago in addition to all the problems I've had with the phone (most of whicvh have resulted from various software upgrades) !!
